OCVA/Kind Traveler

At Pacific View Lodging, we proudly partner with OCVA (Oregon Coast Visitors Association) and Kind Traveler to promote sustainable travel and charitable giving. Kind Traveler empowers travelers to make a positive impact on the destinations they visit by collecting a $2 donating for a local charity at the time of the booking.  Bookings with Pacific View Lodging will support the Otter Rock Marine Reserve by giving to The Friends of Otter Rock.

Otter Rock Marine Reserve and The Friends of Otter Rock

The Otter Rock Marine Reserve, situated just south of Pacific View Lodging along Cape Foulweather, plays a crucial role in conserving marine biodiversity and protecting fragile ecosystems along the Oregon coast. It supports scientific research, public education, and sustainable recreation practices, aligning closely with our mission of sustainability.

The Friends of Otter Rock, a nonprofit organization, collaborates with the marine reserve to preserve the natural resources and cultural heritage of Otter Rock and its surroundings. Their initiatives include beach clean-ups, environmental education programs, and community outreach, fostering a deeper connection between visitors and the marine environment.

Explore Otter Rock Marine Reserve

Located along the rugged Oregon coast, Otter Rock Marine Reserve is a protected area dedicated to preserving the rich biodiversity of its marine habitats. Stretching from the intertidal zone to deeper offshore waters, the reserve supports a variety of marine life, including colorful tidepool creatures, kelp forests, and migrating whales.
