A jewel in a very old redecorated motel, no phone, self check (easy!). WIFI was good. A "quiet hours" sort of place, no night staff, perfect for rest. You should know it is right over the highway & fire department, although it didn't bother me. Placed high enough for charming views of the water between older houses, you can spy the ocean from a nostalgic porch or your window (or picnic table, you could eat there: it is mostly a reheat and eat set up.) The unit (11) was spotlessly clean, although some bits like the door had minor visible damage. The bed was very comfortable, tons of pillows! Good little refrigerator and microwave. Really calming, charming decor. Cleaners were pleasant. For the price?!? You can't get any better!! If it had been a room in a twice the price "partial view" anywhere on 101 you'd still have old construction and thin walls. But you wouldn't have anything near as comfortable, or as much a part of Highway 101 history. I would absolutely book again.
