Park the car, drop the beach bags, and live in Taft for a few days.
Pelican Keel is a dog-friendly four-bedroom, two-bath Lincoln City beach house that sleeps up to 12 guests. It is built for families, friends, and multi-generational groups who want the Oregon Coast to feel easy: start the day on foot, come home to space for everyone, and let the car stay parked until you are ready for a longer adventure.
The Historic Taft District is the real advantage. Walk to the driftwood-covered beach, Siletz Bay, Schooner Creek, coffee, groceries, restaurants, boutiques, galleries, the Lincoln City Glass Center, and the North Lincoln County Historical Museum. Watch glass artists at work, linger along the bay for seals and shorebirds, or sit back and watch for pelicans moving through the area.
Inside, the main level brings everyone together. Cook in the updated kitchen with quartz counters, stainless appliances, and a gas range; set out snacks after the beach; then settle into the bay-window living room with its gas fireplace. A main-floor bedroom and full bathroom make the home easier for guests who prefer not to use stairs for sleeping and bathing. The dedicated office gives remote workers a real place to take a call, and the laundry room keeps beach towels and sandy clothes under control.
The second level adds a second living area, a kitchenette/wet bar, bedrooms, bathrooms, and a playroom. Kids can take over their own space, teens can watch a movie, or a second family can make a late-night snack without taking over the main living room.
For the home’s widest bay views, climb the exterior spiral staircase to the Crow's Nest. This relaxed top-floor lounge is a place to read, hang out, enjoy the sea air, and take in partial ocean views. The captain’s wheel and ocean-themed mosaics make it feel like a real coastal retreat, not a generic rental. The Crow's Nest functions as the fourth sleeping space, with a queen sleeper sofa and a twin sleeper sofa for guests who are comfortable using the exterior spiral stairs.
Outside, the fully fenced artificial-turf yard gives dogs and kids a clean place to play. Grill on the gas BBQ/smoker, gather at the fire pit, enjoy the water feature, rinse off in the outdoor shower, and let dinner run late without a schedule to keep. The two-car enclosed garage and additional off-street parking make arrival simple.
Pelican Keel is for guests who want beach, bay, food, art, and neighborhood energy close enough to enjoy on foot—then a home with enough personality and space to make the stay memorable.
Dogs welcome — pet fee is calculated by length of stay, and shown automatically in your quote before booking. Please include them as guests when booking. Please note: The Crow's Nest is accessed only by an exterior spiral staircase and is best suited to guests who are comfortable using stairs. The home has partial ocean views from all levels and its widest bay views from the Crow's Nest.
