Bed was comfortable the place was clean, they even had xtra tooth brushes a razor and shaving cream. Coffee was good, and the location was perfect for shopping between Lincoln city and Newport. Would stay there again.

Super cute little place in a super cute city with lots to do. Great for couples getaway! And very tidy with cute decorations. The only thing I was bummed about was the check in/out times. I wanted at least a full day for the amount I had paid for and the check in time was late in the day and the check out was 11 in the morning so not much time spent in the actual place (not even 24hrs). Other than that super fun, thank you!

Bill and Peggy were fantastic! The place was clean and had everything we needed. The door keypad was saying the battery was low after being there for a few hours and the host was immediately responsive and had someone to come fix it within 5 minutes! I also had left my personal pillow behind and Peggy messaged me that housekeeping found it and she personally met me back at the Airbnb to give me my pillow back when anywhere else would have thrown it away. We will be back, 5 stars all around :)

I had a great weekend get away. Unit is exactly as described! Felt like a little home away from home. Only 7 units, very quiet. Kitchenette is perfect and well supplied. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

The information for access to the unit was sent early and easy to understand. The room was very clean and made our stay enjoyable. The location was great, easy walk to shops, restaurants and the Whale Watching Station. I will definitely stay again when in Depoe Bay.

Personally being a newbie host makes you see things and take notes. Bill & Peggy clearly know what they are doing! Truly, it may seem pricey from a regular guests perspective, but it’s right where you want to be, has private parking, good tech updates, and above all was clean and modern. Great interior painting and put together well, with some really classy decorations. Responses were punctual and flexible. I wish I had more time.. it’d be great place to come back too after a deep sea fishing trip out of the Bay!

The Airbnb was a great home for the night in our stop for our trip. The location was walkable to some restaurants and great views!

very clean, warm. The bed was a little too soft but the sheets were soft and clean. The dispenser by the bathroom sink had lotion, hand soap would have been more practical . Overall a very good stay

Our stay was EXCELLENT. Each morning we would walk across the street to get the best coffee in town, walk less than a quarter mile to beach access, and then visit the local gift shops that were also VERY close by! We ate at a few of the places the hosts recommended and loved them, as well as the other recommendations for activities they listed in their notecards, which made it very easy to keep our day busy and exciting. Conveniently there was also a gas station right next door so we could fill up with gas before the trip back home. Would definitely recommend this location for the price, especially with the discounts for returning customers, which we will be taking advantage of next year! Overall a cute little space for a great price in a fantastic location!

The place was great. Very clean, inviting, easy to get into and well maintained. Decor was fantastic. Very short and convenient walk to all of the best parts of Depoe Bay. Hosts were fantastic to communicate with and even recommend another property they own close by for us when we were rained out of our accommodations the nights before this one.

We had a wonderful stay in Depoe Bay! The rental was exactly as described and very comfortable. The bathrooms and sheets were spotless, which made us feel right at home. The location is perfect — within walking distance to plenty of shops, great restaurants, and even whale-watching experiences. Couldn’t ask for a better spot to enjoy the Oregon coast!

We stayed for one night and it was the perfect spot! We would’ve stayed longer if we needed! The room was nice and tidy. Bed was super comfy. Love that each unit gets a parking spot. Super clean place!! I really appreciate that, because it’s not common. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the pillows too!! I typically don’t sleep well and have trouble with pillows because of my neck… And I slept perfectly here and was able to walk to different places, especially with my dog… I loved this little place.

We enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here. The space was used wisely and had everything needed (even a box fan for white noise at night!) Clean, Neat and Adorable!

My boyfriend and I took a vacation to the oregon coast and were looking for a place to stay. The whale inn was amazing and next time we come back we are definitely going to stay. It looks just like the pictures and feels like home. Peggy and Bill were very responsive and answered every question I had. We loved it so much that we had to book another night there. Would definitely recommend for your stay in Depoe Bay!

Everything was wonderful! The bed was comfy. The accommodations were as expected and it was easy to find and so close to everything. To be right at all the Depoe Bay whale watching activities, this place was pretty perfect! Thank you again!

It was a short notice vacation my significant other and I took for spring break, the place was perfect for a night get away to tour Newport and Lincoln City.

We do a lot of last minute booking when we travel just so we have better flexibility on where we get to stay. I have booked with these hosts at a different location before so I knew it was a great option. This stay was extremely easy to book and check into within hours of arriving to Depoe Bay. Very clean, peaceful, and within an amazing walking distance of all the shops. If we had our dog, the pet friendly aspect would also perfect! Like always, these hosts are amazing at communicating and creating an easy going atmosphere. Will absolutely be staying here again!

The place was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were extremely communicative and helpful. My only complaint would be noise- the walls were very thin so you can hear neighbors and traffic so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper!

Rooms are small, but well equipped, clean, dog friendly, and very cute! Check in was a breeze and there was parking. Short walk to the water and many places within a short walk to whale watch and enjoy the beautiful sunsets:)

This was a great spot! It is close to the center of town and, despite being on a main road, is very quiet at night. Across the street and a little ways down there is a lookout point where we were able to see whales! Room was large and clean. Overall, great stay and would highly recommend.

Clean and convenient stop for the night as my husband and I made our way up the coast. Very cutely decorated. I was worried about the traffic noise being right off the road however this was not an issue for us whatsoever.

The location was perfect for strolling DePoe Bay and the room was cozy, clean, and quiet despite being close to the road. It was everything we needed for a short trip to the coast! Would definitely stay again!

Nice place for one night. The room was clean and comfortable. We did have to open windows because the room did smell kind of musty. It’s about 25 minutes from Lincoln city and the nearest Safeway. All together tho it was a good stay.

Clean and comfortable with large rooms. Had a great sleep, the bed in room #6 is comfortable and we liked the blackout blinds.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Whale Inn in Debo Bay. The room was clean, and quiet, and near Arch Rock and our favorite restaurant. Our only complaint was the lack of counter space in the bathroom, but we would indeed book it again.

Peggy and Bill went above and beyond. I booked this room for my grandparents for their 50th wedding anniversary. I messaged them and asked if there was anything they could do to decorate, honestly not anticipating it to be possible. They responded very quickly and told me they did have an anniversary package and they were willing to set up decorations and provide fresh flowers for a fee. My grandparents absolutely loved it, and their stay. Thank you so much for making there big 50 memorable!

Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Like a hotel room with a little kitchenette. Short walk across the highway to beautiful ocean views with benches along coastal trail running behind some nice homes with friendly residents. Also a short walk to some restaurants and shops.

Great spot to stop and sleep. It's a cute "old highway" hotel - which we love. Bed and furniture were both clean & comfortable. Bathroom had nice fluffy towels & amenities. Enough space to move around. Quiet in the evening and our polite pup, Fergus, was welcomed.

The Whale Inn met our expectations, with whale theme friendly decor. Comfy furnishings, easy parking and access. The hosts were very responsive from off site. The frequent automatic notices from Pacific View Properties was odd for AirBnb - too many messages felt a bit like marketing from another business. But The Whale Inn was newly remodeled with tasteful, friendly local theme, clean, comfy, quiet.

This place was amazing and honestly they thought of everything. We were able to feel at home the minute we saw everything available to us. I didn’t see the sink in the kitchenette in the original listing, but super bonus. They even had plates, silverware and band aids. They know what it takes to make you feel at home even when you over prepare like we did. lol

Bill and Peggy’s place was perfect for our one night pass through. Parking was no problem. Could walk to town.

Whale Inn served our purposes very well for a one night stay in Depoe Bay. The room was very well laid out and extremely functional. It was "whale themed" and attractive. It was within walking distance of a number of restaurants, the whale watching center and harbor. The only thing to be aware of is that it is on the very busy Highway 101. Thankfully, we did not hear much street noise. However, during much of a summer time, tourist season day it would be very difficult to make the left-hand turn out of the lot to head south. It is also a tricky place to cross the street to get to the ocean. We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to exploring other Pacific View Lodging offerings.

We loved staying here. It’s easy walking to the harbor, shopping and restaurants. They provide a lot of great extras too, like popcorn and even toothbrushes! The room was very clean and smelled great! The provided coffee was local and delicious!

First of all we were surprised with the kitchenette and all of the utensils plates cups and cleaning supplies. It was nice to have a coffee machine. The bed was excellent we went right to sleep and didn’t wake up till the next morning, the sheets on the bed were so soft. We also really appreciated having a fan in the room. We like a cool room to sleep in. We would definitely be back in the future and recommend to anyone!

This was our second stay and it was just as wonderful as our first! Accurate description, great value.

We enjoyed our stay and Bill made it so easy to change our reservation! We reserved a unit, then realized we wanted to stay longer but the first unit wasn’t available a second night. It took 5 minutes and Bill had us swapped into this unit! Decor was cute and trendy, and fit in with the whale/nautical theme. Toilet is close to the wall, and with the shelves directly in front of the toilet it could be a tight fit for fuller figures. This unit had a box fan, which was amazing because the blankets are SOO soft and warm. Parking for unit is straight ahead when you pull in, which made things so simple. We left our car, and went walking through Depoe Bay, as everything is within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and cannot wait to come back again!

So cute! Each detail is nautical and lovely. Bill was amazing at communicating all the information we needed to know. It's near the ocean and on a busy street, which is super convenient for getting there. We arrived at night and almost missed the driveway! There is one parking spot per person, which is great. The bed was a little soft for us, but overall a great stay.

We stayed two nights on a weekend getaway for Fathers Day. This unit was clean, and well decorated with modern amenities. The property is next to Hwy 101 but there is no road noise with the way the units are situated. We were able to walk a short distance to everything in Depoe Bay and situated close to Newport and Lincoln City. The no contact check in process and check out process was flawless as the property manager provided very clear and easy to follow instructions. I highly recommend this property and we will be return customers!!!

The place had a great location and was easy to check in and out. We had a really hard time sleeping on the bed. It felt very unsturdy. Other than that, everything else was great. It was very clean too.

This Airbnb exceeded my expectations. Depoe Bay is an adorable town, and this Airbnb is perfectly located within walking distance to everything. It was so impressively clean, everything was very nice and in good condition. Adorable decor, so clean, spacious, we absolutely loved it. We were very impressed with this rental!

Communication was great, our unit was just perfect, the popcorn was a really fun touch for our evening in, and we had a great dinner thanks to the recommendations Bill provided. The bed was comfy, decor was cute, and check in couldn't be easier. We'd love to come back here anytime!

A perfect place to sleep and get ready but not the largest to hangout in but with all there is to do in town you won’t need to be in the Airbnb that often:)

This is a cute, cozy little place, with all you need in one space. We were able to walk to the gas station for small needs, and also walked to our dinner location. Check in was easy. The only thing I might note is that if you’re wanting to stay in and watch movies, the TV is a little bit small.

Second or third time staying at the whale inn. Always a great trip, comfortable room and personal touch/non hotel chain amenities (popcorn, unique shampoo/conditioner/soap vendor - in addition to normal things like coffee). Space is just big enough for myself and my boyfriend. We also got to connect our netflix account to the TV. Minimal noise from neighbors, small parking lot makes for easy unpacking/packing up. The door code entry makes check in/out super easy! Overall, a great place to stay. We definitely recommend it.

What a sweet little room. It was obviously well-cared for, clean, and stocked with amenities. The kitchenette was perfect for what we needed, and gave us enough room for drinks and snacks. There’s a TV and Wi-fi, but we didn’t use the TV much because there’s so much to do and see in Depoe Bay. In the room, there are two comfy chairs and a table and lamp by the window—a great place to read. The bed was comfortable, and I was most impressed with the soft sheets and crisp comforter. The towels in the bathroom were soft and white; shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, and more were provided. This inn is located close to lots of shops, art galleries, and many places to eat. A number of the restaurants and cafes delivered food, too. We found just what we wanted to eat and more. We can’t say enough about Tidal Raves restaurant, Sea Hag, and Wing Wa. We ate in at the first two; we ordered take-out at Wing Wa for a dinner at the house of friends who eat vegetarian, and we were able to get something for all of us. Be sure to visit the galleries and boutiques, too, especially the new Raven Rocks Gallery. Take a drive south, and be sure to visit Cape Foulweather, or travel north to Lincoln where there are a number of wonderful art galleries, and lots of shopping. Travel in either direction and pull over to take plenty of photos. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Whale Inn was a great stop on our trip up the coast. Easy to find, communication very strong, Spokane was clean and comfortable and walking distance to Tidal Rave where we ate and an easy walk downtown to shop, see the harbor, and whale watch! We continued north up the coast and had a second great stay at Bill's other property, the Surf Inn. Would recommend either!

Bill's place is in an great spot and the room is perfect. We ended up not staying however because the room smelled of cigarette smoke even tho it is a smoke free place. I get bad migraines when around the smell for too long and Bill gave us a full refund when I contacted him letting him know the issue. Other than the cigarette smell, this place is ideal.

Convenient location in Depoe Bay with parking for one car. Perfect for a couple or solo traveler. We were in #6 so a bit away from highway but could still hear some noise, but it wasn’t that bad. The bathroom was a bit cramped and the pedestal sink makes getting ready a bit difficult because there isn’t counter space. Not a big deal really. Tv had loads of channels. Right across the street from Pirate coffee and Tidal Raves ( call ahead at Tidal to be put on a waitlist). Overall comfortable stay!

They did a great job revamping this motel! It was super clean and they provide a few essentials that you might have forgotten to pack (toothbrush, shaving razor, makeup wipes…). A perfect place to stay at if you’re planning on adventuring all day and need a home base :)

these are sweet little cabins.. everything you need in a few hundred square feet. good beaches across the street and good coffee also. the little kitchenette allows for your own food.

We stayed one night at the Whale Inn and very much enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect to explore Depoe Bay and beyond. The place was spotless and had everything we needed, there were even thoughtful touches for our pup too, which we appreciated. If you stay here, make sure you take Bill’s suggestion to walk to the cliffs across 101 and up the hill. It’s gorgeous at sunset!!

Unit was very nice and clean and had some nice extra bathroom amenities. Fun nautical touches around the unit! Perfect little kitchenette area with a toaster, microwave, and mini fridge. Bed was really soft but thats all personal preference, we still slept fine! Walls are thin so it can get a little loud depending on who you are sharing a wall with. I enjoyed being farther away from the busy commercial areas. Perfect place to stay during Covid pandemic as we were not trying to be walking distance to bars and restaurants etc. will definitely try to stay here again next time I am in town!

Very clean and thoughtfully decorated. Great for a one or two night stay with a dog, if you have activities planned while you're in town. One of the photos for this room make it appear like there is a bath tub, but there is not. Not a deal breaker but the photo was confusing and what I ultimately based my tie breaker on when choosing places.

My sister and I stayed for one night. Check in/out was incredibly easy. The place was comfortable, quiet, and clean. The little kitchen was a bonus for storing snacks and having breakfast in the morning. There was a scenic viewpoint a short walk across the street where we went to watch the sunset. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area.

This place was great! Bed was comfy, location was great, the amenities were awesome. Fan in the room, makeup wipes, hair dryer and more! Food nearby was delicious, and within walking distance. So happy that dogs were allowed. Sometimes ours can’t sleep in a hotel, and he had no problem here. Thanks for the great trip, even if it did pour down rain! We had a wonderful shelter to stay dry!

So cute! Bill and Peggy were incredible hosts. We got in after midnight and they stayed up to make sure we were okay getting in. The rooms were so clean! We had lots of questions and they were super helpful/responsive. The location was so perfect and beautiful. We got lots of great information about the area in our welcome email.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Walking distance and easy access to 101. The only thing I would mention is the walls are thin so you can hear hour neighbors

The walls are pretty thin and we had an angry neighbor but otherwise Bill and Peggy provided a great place for us to stay! with excellent communication. Depoe bay is one of my favorite spots on the coast and it was perfect waking up across the street hearing the waves crash!!! There is some amazing food and so close with beautiful views! All in all great time!!

This room is right across the street from the ocean. It is in-between Newport and Lincoln City. The room is comfortable and clean and has everything you need for a short or long stay.

Depoe Bay was a great little coast town and the location of the Whale Inn was perfect and we could walk everywhere. The place was extremely clean which during COVID times it made us feel very safe. The Whale Inn is great. A nice place to stay, right near everything in Depoe Bay. Bill has done a great job with fixing up this old motor inn and the room is comfortable and full of nice touches. We enjoyed our stay.

Its a great place with 2 min walk from stunning views of the Pacific. The room was clean and very nicely done. Great small boutique place - loved it !! The bar next door is a fun place too 😊

The place was hard to find because it still has a sign out front w a different name. The sign is blue w a whale on it. The room was full of cob webs when I arrived. No stove. There was something brown and splattered on the bathroom window. The smell of fabreeeze is so strong it’s offensive. Definitely not worth what they are asking.

The drive was quick however for our trips into town, and was also close to Newport, which made this location great. The space was as described and is a perfect place if you have a furry friend. This little renovated motel exceeds expectations. I knew, from the photos, description, location on the map, and great communications that the space would be clean, and attractive, and within striking distance to coastal hot spots. I was so warmed and delighted when I entered my room and found that each detail is lovingly and beautifully thought through, from the easy and helpful local tips, maps, and info; to the exceptionally clean, up-casual/chic decor. I so appreciated my cute, super clean, well-appointed bathroom with all of the extras one might need if one forgot a thing or two in transit. My stay was quiet, and so cozy-comfortable; I really felt my hosts cared if I felt welcomed and accommodated. The parking and lock codes are very easy, and the motel sign is encircled with little lights, which is great if you’re finding your way to your accommodations on a rainy and foggy night. Highly recommend to Oregonians who frequent the coast, and to folks who might want a lovely stay in the PNW. Don’t look the other way just because this is a renovated motel! It’s so cute and, under the right circumstances, would be a wonderful place for a romantic get-away.

Bill’s place had everything we were looking for in a coast getaway. It was cozy and clean and had lots of thoughtful touches. We especially enjoyed hiking down to the little beach cove right across the street.

This unit is very conveniently located to all the sites in Depoe Bay. We walked everywhere and poked around the shops. The Pirate Coffee shop just down the street was a bonus. Great coffee. The units are suited for two persons. We didn’t use the kitchen, but it appeared to have everything you would need if you were going to cook on site.

This place was in the perfect location close to restaurants and whale watching. Check-in was a breeze and the decor was charming, but the cleanliness could have been better. The bathroom was clean, but the sheets looked like they hadn’t been changed and had dark hair and grass all over them and the floor in one area looked like smeared dog poop had dried there. If it wasn’t for the two cleaning issues, this would have been an all around great place to stay!
