The Captains Lookout is a dog-friendly, three-bedroom, 2.5-bath Depoe Bay townhome that sleeps up to six guests. It is built for guests who want the Oregon Coast to feel close and easy: ocean views from the home, seawall and harbor walks from the front door, and a private hot tub waiting when the day slows down.
The top-floor king suite is the signature space. Start the morning with coffee in the sitting area while the bay comes to life below. Use the binoculars and spotting scope to watch boats, wildlife, and seasonal gray whales, then end the evening in the deep soaking tub before settling in for the night.
The main level is where everyone gathers. Cook in the well-equipped kitchen with a gas range, dishwasher, breakfast bar, cookware, and dining space. Build the day around slow breakfasts, post-beach snacks, or dinner from the grill. When the weather turns cool, settle in by the gas fireplace for a movie night or a quiet evening with the view still close by.
Downstairs, the queen bedroom and full bedroom share a full bathroom with shower. A separate TV and gaming area gives kids, friends, or a second couple their own place to relax without taking over the main living room.
Outside, the main deck is made for ocean air, sunsets, grilling, and watching the bay. On the lower patio, the included private six-person hot tub has privacy curtains for a more relaxed soak after a seawall stroll, beach walk, harbor outing, or day exploring the coast.
The location makes the stay feel simple. Walk to the Depoe Bay seawall, harbor, Whale Watching Center, local restaurants, shops, and charter boats instead of loading everyone into the car every time you want to do something. Nearby viewpoints, beaches, Newport, Lincoln City, and the Central Oregon Coast are easy day trips when you want to explore farther.
Strong Wi-Fi, a laptop-friendly workspace, Smart TVs for use with your own streaming accounts, washer/dryer, beach chairs, and parking for up to three vehicles are included.
Up to two dogs are welcome with an added fee. Please include them as guests when booking. Cats are not allowed. Please note: this is a three-level townhome with three steps at the entry. Bedrooms are above and below the main living level, and the main level has a half bath only. The home is not wheelchair accessible.
The Captains Lookout is in Depoe Bay, Oregon, a small Central Coast harbor town known for its seawall, whale watching, fishing charters, dramatic rocky shoreline, ocean viewpoints, and independent restaurants.
Walk from the townhome to the Depoe Bay seawall, harbor, Whale Watching Center, local shops, restaurants, and charter boats. The location makes it easy to build a day around the bay: coffee on the deck, a seawall walk, whale watching, dinner in town, then a hot-tub soak back at the home.
Nearby beaches and viewpoints make it easy to spend more time outside and less time driving. Newport and Lincoln City are convenient for larger grocery runs, dining, shopping, and day trips.
Central Depoe Bay is easy to explore on foot from the townhome. Walk to the seawall, harbor, restaurants, shops, the Whale Watching Center, and charter boats.
A vehicle is useful for grocery runs, beaches outside town, and exploring the rest of the Central Oregon Coast. Parking is available for up to three vehicles: one garage space and two driveway spaces. Trailers cannot be accommodated.
