W1 - Orca - Whale Inn

As advertised- it is right off the highway, so can be noisy.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay here! With it being a pet friendly place, I was expecting to notice pet dander like I have at other pet friendly locations, but you would never know! So clean, well decorated, even small things like the shower soap, shampoo, and conditioner had a lovely scent. They even have extras like tooth brushes, razors, etc.. I love when a host goes above and beyond. The coffee was delicious. Not your average hotel coffee. The unit is right next to 101 highway but after 10pm it gets very quiet. You might hear an occasional big truck but it wasn’t a bother to us. We are very picky about the places we rent and I felt this was far above the expectations I saw and read online. Thank you so much, we will be back!

Lovely place with a really nice kitchen and bathroom. Spotless and appropriately stocked, close to anything you need and steps from the ocean. Dog friendly was a bonus!

Very clean. Location is perfect to walk and explore Depot Bay.

We came to watch the high tides and location was perfect for it. Easy to find and check in. It also had everything we needed and then some. Our unit was the closest to the road which was nice because we could see the ocean from our kitchen window, but if you are a very light sleeper could be an issue.

We had an amazing trip and walked to the sea wall for King tides. It was everything we needed for our trip!

We’ve stayed at the Whale Inn multiple times and it’s always an enjoyable stay! The location is great & it’s a quick walk to the downtown area full of great shops, restaurants, and ocean views. I would recommend staying here!

This was one of the top airbnbs we've stayed at. Very clean, allowed dogs, decorated so cute! Perfect beach theme! Bed was comfy, coffee good, and popcorn a nice touch. Answered emails quickly and were very accommodating. We will stay here again!

We had a great stay here! The place was the perfect little spot for our trip. The kitchen was super convenient and made it easy for us to cook dinner. The location was amazing—walking distance to pretty much everything we needed, with multiple viewpoints close by. Cute little studio in downtown Depot Bay. We loved being able to walk to the strip and enjoy the local coffee shops and wave watching. Everything was clean and in working order. It is located next to a gas station so didn’t feel 100% safe. Like others have mentioned, the cars passing by is pretty noisy at night. Didn’t love the pull out bed- it screeks a lot with every movement. Made it difficult to sleep with baby. Other than that, I feel it was worth the price.

One of the best places I've stayed for the price. Great location, only 20 minutes out from Newport. next to "the tidal rave" a really nice and romantic restaurant with ocean view and big windows. Super cosy room with a tv that can be viewed from almost anywhere in the house. Comfy bed and couch. If you don't like the creaking whenever you roll in the bed I'd suggest putting a couch pillow or two behind the headboard and it's nice and quiet. Checking in was super easy and the code was easy to remember. Great storage to put all your clothes away and a shelf next to the dining table to put down all your depoe bay/newport purchases and finds. 10/10 will definitely be coming back here in the future

Cozy and comfortable! Had everything we needed. Easy to walk to many restaurants and bars. Dog friendly. A little bit of road noise that could be bothersome to a light sleeper, but overall a great stay and would recommend!

Cute rooms, very clean. Fully stocked kitchen in unit 1. We appreciate the pet friendly accommodations. As other reviews pointed out, it’s next to the highway, so traffic noise is a lot, especially if you like windows open. Luckily, earplugs were available with toiletries and helpful. Perks are it’s close to a great restaurant, gift shops, and whale watching.

We would absolutely stay again with Bill and Peggy! Depoe Bay is a great place itself, but also allows easy access to Newport and Lincoln! We loved the proximity to the ocean, and the cute coffee shop right across the street. We loved experiencing the world’s smallest harbor!

Very convenient place to stay if you want to walk to the cliffs or drive a short way to otter rock or Lincoln city outlets. We stay in the front next to the street, I’m a heavy sleeper so it didn’t bother me, but my partner had a rough time sleeping due to the noise and thin pull out mattress. We stay with our two children and it was very pleasant. I would definitely stay again, it was wonderful!

My mom was visiting from the East Coast and this was an excellent place for our night in Depoe Bay. We were within walking distance to many restaurants and could see the bay from the kitchen window. It is a lovely place and I would absolutely visit again.

Quaint and clean little cottage. Perfect for a single traveler or couples. Only complaint is that they provided all toiletries and more but there was no hand soap for the bathroom. We moved the hand soap from the kitchen into the bathroom so not a huge inconvenience.

This was a great overnight stop along the Oregon coast. My family of 4 was cozy but comfortable in this cabin for the night. The clear, friendly communication made everything easy.

Overall the place was exactly what we needed for our short get away. Close walk to lots of shops and soel good restaurants. Lots of walkable places to take the dog. Bed was comfy. The provided cover for the dog was great too as it kept the inevitable sand and hair off the bed as well.

We found the Whaler Inn in Depoe Bay to be a perfect spot to stop for the night along the Oregon Coast. Pirate coffee was across the street for our morning cup. Lots of good views at pull offs nearby and enjoyed dinner in Newport’s harbor at Local Ocean Seafood.

We love staying at Bill and Peggy‘s listing. This is our 2nd stay, communication, cleanliness, parking all was spot on and smooth. Check-in was very easy. Neighbors were friendly no complaints.

Peggy is awesome i forgot my wallet behind and she made sure to reach out to me and got it to me before i left town. 😊

Nice place, a bit pricey, but we had fun.

Great location, perfect size, clean. Only disappointing aspect was unit 1, while has great light due to 2 extra windows the other units don't have and the view of the ocean. Since it is right next to the road, can be a tad loud with vehicle traffic. And adjusting the shower can be challenging.

My husband and I rented a car and drove Hwy 101 from Portland and Depoe Bay was on our list of stops. Bill and Peggy’s place was perfect for the two of us. It is an older place that had been nicely updated and is super cute! The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and the entire place was clean! We walked to the shops on the main strip several times and to a great restaurant, Tidal Raves! The views from the benches all along the coast were amazing and we saw several sprays from whale spouts as well as the back of one! All very nice and enjoyable! Thank you, Bill and Peggy, for sharing this cool place with travelers like us!!

Property located within convenient proximity of all Depoe Bay attractions and a short drive to Newport. Unit was clean and functional. Highway right outside was a bit loud. We appreciated the dog-friendliness, but there was not much area to walk around with them.

This is our second time staying at the Whale Inn and it did not disappoint. We were able to bring our two kids this time and were comfortable for a quick two night stay in beautiful Depoe Bay.

We absolutely loved the Orca at Whale Inn. The drive into Depoe Bay on the 101 was majestic, the room was super easy to check into with the detailed directions for check in. The kitchen had everything there. The dishwasher and refrigerator really helped us out. The room was walking distance from downtown Depoe Bay, the dining recommendations were on point. The Fish and Chips were fantastic. What really put the room over the top was the complimentary Left Coast coffee packs in the coffee nook. If everything else in the Whale Inn changes please keep the Left Coast coffee! It’s so good!

Beautifully appointed for an overnight or few day stay. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Host very responsive to any questions.

It’s not a bad spot for a weekend getaway. It’s clean and the property has everything you would need. It is very noisy. We stayed in unit 1 which is right by the highway, so traffic is constant. If we were to stay here again we would book one of the units further from the road. The beds were uncomfortable, and there’s not a lot of room or space for hanging out in.

This airbnb was clean and there were clear instructions for how to check in/easy to check in and check out. The airbnb is definitely just an updated motel with a kitchen. kitchen was nice and modern with ocean views, bed was kind of uncomfortable. overall easy to get to, but is right on the highway.

Tv did not work well in the main living area. Communication with Vacasa was a bit delayed. Someone did eventually call me, but their solution to restart the computer need to be repeated multiple times. it is right by the freeway, so annoys maker in the bedroom is helpful to drown out traffic noise.

We stayed for our daughter's 3rd birthday. She loved being right across from the beach and woke up the two mornings we were there to look out the kitchen window to see the ocean. We also loved all the whale touches around the whole room. The location is so close to restaurants, shops and the whale watching tours/tower. Our favorite place to eat was the restaurant across the street called Tidal Raves. The road noise was noticeable but we were gone the majority of the day and morning/night time is really not very disturbing or loud. We enjoyed our stay here and hope to visit again soon!

We loved staying in room 1 with the kitchen- it fit all of our families needs for dad, mom and two kids!!! We had a great time our room was very clean and well stocked! We will absolutely be staying here on our next trip! It was close for walking to restaurants and shops! We love Depoe Bay and we watched for whales out the kitchen window even on the rainy day! This space is wonderful. The space is arranged and stocked in really thoughtful ways. It is compact and yet has everything you could need. And a bonus beautiful ocean view! Of course, in order to get the ocean view you need to be right on the highway, but the road noise wasn't bad. It is just outside the hustle and bustle of small town Depoe Bay, but still very walkable. We ate at Tidal Rave, across the street, and really enjoyed. We will definitely return to W1 this summer!

My 2 daughters & I were traveling the coast & LOVED this beautifully appointed room with kitchenette. The queen bed was comfy for 2 of us while 1 daughter took the comfy pullout couch. The bathroom was roomy, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would definitely share this great place with others !

We had a great stay here with our pets, and love that Peggy and Bill made sure to leave some furniture cover and pet towel for our dogs. We do the same for our dogs at home. Parking space was perfect right in front of our place, and there was a designated area to take our dogs to go potty at. All the amenities were stocked in our place, and we had everything we needed for our one night stay. Communication was stellar from both from the moment we booked to the time we checked out. Thank you for allowing us to stay there and would definitely recommend!

A beautiful, cozy little apartment. Everything was clean and organized. Has a full kitchen with fridge and separate bathroom / shower. You can actually see the ocean from the window of this unit.

This unit was perfect! My partner and I took a trip down to Depoe Bay and stayed in the Whale Inn for three nights. It was cozy, had everything we needed, and was in a great location that gave us access to lots of fun spots without being right in the middle of things. We never had to reach out with any issues because Bill and Peggy communicated everything so well, and they seem very nice from their emails! Checking in and out was incredibly easy! Overall, we loved everything about our stay!!

This is my first choice for my stay when I know I’m going to Lincoln city or depo bay! It’s an excellent location, easy to get in and out of. I have only stayed in W1, but I imagine the rest as just as cozy.

Wonderful, affordable stay. It’s an easy walk to downtown Depot Bay, and the ocean. This unit is pretty near hwy 101, and I was afraid traffic noise would be bad, but it wasn’t at all. Would definitely stay again.

This was an adorable place to stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was exactly what we needed. This cottage was modestly decorated and very cozy. We cooked and I was pleasantly surprised that the cookware was good quality, which is typically not the case with airbnbs. Excellent communication with the host. I’m headed back out to the coast next month and will look to book here again.

We had a one night stop on a PCH roadtrip and it was a perfect spot with a stunning view. Ocean is directly across the street and on a clear day it’s like a framed picture from the kitchen window! Highway noise wasn’t an issue, local food delivered to the room and food was piping hot! Love the whale decorations- will have to come back in September to see them! Very convenient right off the 101 and would rent again.

A good place to stop over for the night for us. We had my partner, an infant and our dog and it was enjoyable. The place is walking distance to some nice scenic view points. The bag of microwave popcorn was a bonus for us in addition to a clean and comfortable place in unit #1.

These little apartments are very charming and comfortable. I was traveling for work and it was perfect for that because I really just needed a comfortable bed and clean room to come back to in the evening - it was just the right size for that. It’s literally right off Highway 101 so while not picturesque it’s very accessible and you’re less than a 1/2 mile from the Whale Observation Center and the Depoe Bay Scenic Park and all the shops and restaurants. As others have noted, there is traffic noise - I sleep with earplugs anyway so that wasn’t as issue for me but it’s noticeable, especially in Unit 1.

Beautiful and quaint. Clean and quite. Will be keeping on my revisit list next time we’re in town! There was a puzzle and cards that were a lovely surprise and kept our family busy for hours.

The Whale Inn is terrific in every way for an affordable stay. i want to really stress this if you’re considering staying here; the value of what you get for the price is just outstanding with upgraded appliances and lovely decor. This is not a large, spacious james-bond getaway, but it is fully functional minus a washer and dryer (there’s a laundromat in town!) The whale themed items were such a sweet touch and our daughter loved seeing the ocean view from our unit (Unit 1) This is our second time staying with Peggy and Bill and we’ve had a few new-parent, no sleep hiccups on our part that they were MORE than accommodating with and made us feel VERY cared for. Try the Whale Inn even for one night. it has character and feels like a true ocean motel. you can get all the fancy stuff another time… we will definitely be back (and we’ll be staying in unit 1!) ❤️

We enjoyed our weekend stay at the Whale Inn! The room was clean and as advertised, perfect for a weekend getaway for my husband and I! It is close to beach access and downtown Depoe Bay, as well as a short drive to either Lincoln City or Newport. Overall we had a great stay and would come again!

Great place, very thoughtful in the amenities (they has a drying rack, bandaids, shaving cream, dishwasher tabs, etc.). The host was quick to respond and we were able to check-in 2 hours early

The apartment unit (#1) was clean and spacious for us (2 adults 1 toddler). It is located slightly north of the town center to shops and restaurants, definitely walkable 10 minutes. That said, this unit is the one closest to the highway 101 where cars go by around 20-40 mph. It is loud for a light sleeper so bring earplugs if you need it. It does taper off at night after 10PM but given this is the only route north/south, traffic does not really stop until later at night. Given it was high season in summer, this was worth the price and we enjoyed our stay in this little town before we headed north.

We were happy with our stay. Hosts provided very clear instructions which was appreciated and it was within walking distance of many places.

Other reviews stated the place was somewhat noisy because it’s on the 101 - and I could hear traffic but I came prepared with earplugs just in case - I was so tired I didn’t need them! That ended up being a non-issue for me. The location is great for getting out and walking up and down the coast and the room was perfect for relaxing! I really enjoyed my time here!!

Bill and Peggy's place was just as described. My family of 4 felt right at home at the Inn. We appreciated the fully equipped kitchen with utensils, bowls, and pots/pans. The location is walkable to the main strip at Depoe Bay. We would definitely stay again if we're ever back in the area.

Although #1 is next to the road, traffic during overnight hours was minimal and quiet. The convenience store directly north was well-stocked with last-minute supplies.

It was a very nice place to stay. We only heard the cars going by because we were in the one by the road ( unit 1) but it wasnt even loud. Never heard anything from the other renters. It was quiet. We loved the keyless entry. Our daughter said the hide a bed needed replaced since it was sinking in the middle. But overall stay was great and we would stay here again.

I have stayed at this location a few times and keep coming back. I appreciate the cleanliness and the thoughtfulness. The hosts provide thorough instructions from check-in, to how to troubleshoot the TV and heater, and have taken the time to put together local recommendations.

Loved my stay here. Room was nice and felt bigger with the couch across from the bed. Made it feel separated which is nice. Big kitchen was very nice too. Some people mentioned road noise since this room (#1) is right next to 101. Wasn't a problem for me at all. Traffic dies after 7pm and I sleep with as much white noise as possible and there was a box fan that was perfect for that. Not a ton of places to eat in Depot Bay and most close around 8pm. Had dinner every night at Tidal Raves and was impressed with every dish and cocktails (barrel aged Negronis, a few amaros etc). Having Lincoln City and Newport so close is really nice for some more food options and shopping. But as far as natural beauty, there's not a lot of places in the country that beat this area. So many amazing places within a short drive in either directions. Making staying here a great option for those looking for some nature. Which is why you come to the Oregon coast right?

Incredible! This is what I want every Airbnb to be. Cozy, super clean, smelled great, beautiful decor, comfortable bed, had everything we needed and more. They have so many thoughtful touches- this amazing stress free eucalyptus soap/shampoo/conditioner, spare toothbrushes etc. Our unit was right next to the road, which was a bit loud during the day but at night it was no longer an issue nor disturbed our sleep. Wonderful stay, will absolutely be back!

We had a lovely long weekend at Bill and Peggy's place! The "Orca" was great, we had read the reviews from previous guests, we knew just what to expect. The unit was the right size for 2 adults and our small dog. We walked to restaurants and the whale watching center as well as the harbor. Depoe Bay is so charming. It's our favorite part of the Oregon Coast. There is some traffic noise in this unit since it is the front unit and faces Hwy 101. The noise does taper off quite a bit at night and the window coverings help make it very dark for sleeping. The bed is quite soft, given our choice, we would prefer a firmer bed. The place was squeaky clean, they have great accommodations for pets and allow them on the furniture as long as you use the protective coverings they provide. That was so nice! Our small dog is low impact and doesn't shed, there are no animal smells or hints that other pets have been there. We would definitely stay at the Whale Inn again!

We loved the AirBnB. We booked extremely last minute but was everything we needed especially with traveling with dogs and a baby.

This might be one of our all time favorite spots. Right off the 101, easy to find, and with the softest sheets. The room was spacious, the location was beautiful, the coast is amazing. Cannot wait to return.

Loved this stay! Perfect for a couple for night or two in Depoe Bay. Bill and Peggy’s space was spotless and comfortable. The little touches and amenities like coffee and toothbrushes made our stay extra enjoyable. The unit is located directly on Highway 101 but the car noise isn’t bad after dark and with the fan provided we didn’t notice the noise much at all. Would love to stay here again when we’re on an Oregon coast adventure!

My two best friends and I loved our stay! A convenient store next door, good restaurants and coffee within walking distance, and an ocean view out the front window! Covered all our bases and was perfect for what we needed!

It's a great place to stay in Depoe Bay! It's right next to Tidal Raves and about a 10 minute walk from downtown. The place is neat and the beds were comfy! The only downside is that the hotel was right on HWY 101 so it was a bit noisy at night. I would definitely recommend staying here though!

Cozy little studio! Full kitchen was a HUGE plus. Very clean, much appreciated. Felt safe and welcome. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

It's small and simple, but it was perfect for the two of us. Everything was cleaned and organized, having everything we needed. We will be back.

We had a great stay! The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars is because both beds were creeky and it did keep us up a bit throughout the night. Our girls were on the pull out bed and us on the regular bed and just rolling over for any of us caused creeky noises. Other than that it was a great location and space especially for the price and we would likely stay again for a short trip. Hosts were super friendly and responsive and even allowed us an early check in which was so helpful.

The outside does not match the inside. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. We were on the highway end and very noisy. We opened window at night and made the highway noise worse. Its location convenient to town.

Amazing stay!

The lodge was perfect --- we travelled up and down the coast and this area was the perfect medium. Peggy/Bill were super easy to communicate w/ and even helped w/ an early than provided check in. everything was clean --- everything we needed for the night between the linens, the tolietries and even the cookware were provided. thank you so much ---we stayed w/ their properties before and will do it again!

This was a great stay for my wife and I and our two little ones. It was very conveniently located and was super easy to check in and out. We loved the surrounding area as well. We only stayed 1 night here but would have loved to stay longer!

Such a perfect cozy spot for an overnight getaway. Great location. 5 min walk from the main drag. The bed was cozy and comfy - which matters a lot to me when I stay places.

We really enjoyed staying at the end. We took our dog and they had a convenient little dog walk area right next to the parking lot. It happens to be right across the street from one of our favorite restaurants the Tidal Rave that we could just walk to you. All in all we recommend it, and would go back again.

They took our last minute reservation and were quickly responsive to our questions. The studio cottage was clean, inviting and we had a view of the ocean across the street. There was a kitchen mostly equipped and we cooked our dinner and breakfast. The bed was comfortable. The traffic on the street was a little noisy but tolerable.

2nd time staying here. The place still did not disappoint. Great room with view of depoe bay. Easy check in and out. Great communication. Definately coming back again. Thank you.

What a gem! Beautiful views. There was a wonderful strip of small businesses down the street where we found some souvenirs and had great wine! Bill and Peggy’s place was clean, well stocked and so easy to find. Highly recommended!

Walkable to everything in Depoe Bay, very clean and had all we needed!

Perfect stay for a short trip! Comfortable beds and clean space. It was just a short walk down to Tidal Raves for a great dinner with a view. I would definitely stay here again!

Loved staying at the Pacific View Lodging with my daughters for a special overnight at the coast. The location is wonderful, we could see and hear the ocean from our front window, local shops and great places to eat/drink including a coffee shop and the delicious Tidal Raves Seafood Restaurant were just steps away. The hosts were very responsive and kind. Depoe Bay is an amazing location and we even got to see two whales. We plan to repeat this trip at Bill and Peggy's.

The place was clean, well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels in the batbroom. The bed was great. Plenty of blankets and pillows. Sofa ed qas easy to use.

Super centrally located for Depoe Bay. Our room was close to the road, but still was very quiet. Super clean, well decorated.

We loved our stay! We did have a run-in with ants, but they were easy to clean up. Otherwise, it is an extremely well-cared-for unit with lovely whale accents! Even the kitchen knobs are whales. My kids loved it.

Whale Inn is a little gem. The room is spacious, clean, comfy, tastefully decorated, well appointed with all we needed. It’s walking distance to town shops, restaurants, and great ocean views. Even though it sits right next to the hwy, it was remarkably quiet and peaceful. As a bonus, the room has a limited view of the ocean, and we actually spotted (with binos) some whales spouting! We enjoyed our stay, the room was a good value and we recommend it.

Wonderful getaway - it’s a lovely little cottage-style room that leads directly across the street to the beautiful ocean. The lights in the area at night are gorgeous as well. The room was lovely and our hosts were informative, responsive, and very kind. We had a great stay. :)

This place was just what we were looking for. I would have loved a little WD40 for the pull out sofa bed, but besides that, it had everything we needed. :) I thought the supplies in the bathroom were especially thoughtful - there were bandaids! Thanks for the place to stay on our trip!

The place was modern, roomy, and comfy!! I loved the sheets!! The clean kitchen was fully stocked and the parking is very close. There a nice pet walk area right there too! The only surprise was that it was not on the ocean side of the highway. Yes there is a good ocean view from the window and I’m sure it’s walkable across the hwy, but I’d just missed that it was on the east side of 101. I had read in the reviews about the road noise so we did bring a sound machine but the road noise wasn’t even an issue during the day! Beautiful place inside and friendly hosts, thank you!!

This place was an amazing stay for a family of 3. We within walking distance of tide pools, shops, and dock! I recommend heading to the whale museum to book a whale watching tour. Depoe Bay has Whales that visit year around. Bill & Peggy we’re quick to respond and very friendly. I’d recommend this stay to everyone!

Great price for the area. There’s lots to in Depoe Bay, and Lincoln City is just 15 minutes away. This is a better deal than any similar nearby hotel, and it includes a full kitchen (which most hotel rooms don’t have). This is my second time staying here, and I anticipate I’ll be back again.

What a cute little roadside motel. Love supporting mom & pop properties and this unit fits the bill. Very clean, right on the highway. Exactly as pictured. Bed has seen better days (mattress frame was a little squeaky) but I slept like a baby. If you’re sensitive to traffic nose, this probably isn’t the place for you. We just turned on the box fan & drowned it out with no problem. Great place to stop for the night & catch some zzzz’s at a great price.

Very nice clean room. Easy walk to restaurants and the waterfront. Make sure to you pack ear plugs if you want to sleep in.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bill and Peggy’s. The house was clean, comfortable and cozy. I was a huge fan of the whale decor. Exactly what I had hoped for. I can not recommend this place enough and can’t wait to come back.

Clean and convenient for our 1 night stay. No.1 is closest to 101 so there is a little road noise inside, but it dies down by bedtime.

The room was very cute. Pullout sofa was comfortable once we turned around (head at foot of bed). The traffic was somewhat loud but we didn't mind for location and price. Keep food sealed up... sugar ants. Overall we were happy with our stay and will be back!

Great place to stay. The location is perfect, a nice walk to all the shops/restaurants in Depot Bay and you can see the ocean out the window. The road noise was only an issue during the day. It is nice and quiet at night. There was ants in the kitchen and the place had a funky odor but the price was right.

Loved how walkable this spot is and the fact that our THREE (!!!) dogs were very welcome here. Space was warm and comfortable, easy to use as a home base while we explored Depoe Bay. Would stay here again!

Very clean, comfortable and cozy. Myself and 2 kids had plenty of space. Nice kitchen and a little peak of the ocean. The only thing to note is that there is some road noise from the highway just outside. It quiets down at night so doesn’t affect sleep but a little bit of noise during the day.

Overall, our stay was great. There is a decent view of the ocean; better than we were expecting. The space was clean and easy to check into. Our only complaints were the dim lighting in the unit and very loud road noise.

Affordable motel. Unit 1 has a view of ocean. Highway noise, but isn’t as bad as I thought. Once you book through airbnb there’s a lot of communication via email.

Bill's place was exactly as described, it was clean and spacious for what we paid. It was close to the shore and had a handful of things around. The place also have a lot of amenities, they had towels, appliances, pots, pans, and dishs/utensils. Definitely worth the price!

This was a cute little nugget of a place. Had everything you could need…. Kitchen, sitting place, comfy bed. The recommendations that came with the packet were incredible and used them all.

Lots of lovely little touches and very clean. Very clean and the bed is really cosy. The location is very good for the town and for getting involved in what there is to offer. The road is noisy though, not a reason not to stay at all, but just to be aware of. The trucks hurtle passed through the night. Also lots of automated emails and no reply to my email directly to them. All in all a great place, just a lot of automated emails and a bit noisy.

This is my third stay. I will be back again. Always a treat.

My stay at Pacific View Lodging was pleasant. The interior has been updated nicely and the kitchen is a good size. My room had a nice view of the ocean from the kitchen window that you could also see from sitting on the bed. There is some traffic noise being that it is located right on the 101 but I brought earplugs and didn't have any problem sleeping. The communication was great and I would recommend this spot to others.

this place was cute and had nice little extras like free toothbrushes and a shaver. very central and had a view of the beach (within a minutes walking distance). check-in/check out instructions were clear. however we were a party of 4 and needed to use the pullout couch to sleep. the structure of the couch was too uncomfortable to sleep on so we removed the mattress to sleep on the floor and uncovered some mold.

This place is convenient for a last minute space. It was hard to fall asleep because W-1 is closest to the road, so there is traffic all night long whizzing by way above the speed limit. The bed also wasn’t very comfortable. The space was clean, check in was easy, & it’s pet friendly. Just bring ear plugs & a comfy blanket/pillow combo from home!

We were able to watch grey whales from the sidewalk only a short 10-15 min walk from the Airbnb. Would definitely recommend a stay at Whale Inn. Bill was also very responsive and helpful as a host.

Great stay! Within a very short walking distance to an amazing restaurant Tidal Raves which I loved how close it was. Everything seems newly renovated minus the shower which is still okay. The bed and bedding is super comfy and the place was very clean!

Great location and property. A cute studio right on the highway, equipped with all the things you would need! The sofa-bed could've been a little more comfortable by adding more comfortable bedding, but would still recommend.

Not a far walk from a nice view point. Right near a gas station. Short drive from a lot of restaurants and stores. Room is nice, has dishes, pots, pans, and dishwasher. Easy to check in and out.

The Whale Inn was perfect. Just the right size and it was comfortable for all four of us. We were able to walk across the street to Pirate Coffee and then headed to Arch Rock for whale watching. Also enjoyed dinner at the Tidal Raves. Excellent!

The room was great, very clean and new looking. We liked there was a little basket of items (toothbrush, shaving supplies, first aid, etc) provided. Also close to various restaurants. Bill was great and kept us informed before our arrival.

Super cute place in a cute beachside town. We didn’t have much time to explore, but we would definitely stay here again! We especially liked having an assigned parking spot, the restaurant recommendations were spot on.

This adorable little spot is right on the highway so you do hear all the road noise (especially in Unit 1). We just stayed for one night but followed the rope ladder to the beach and had a good breakfast at Gracie's Sea Hag down the street which were recommendations by the host. The room was clean and had plenty of supplies if you were staying longer and didn't want to eat out every meal. Loved the decor and the bed was very comfortable! Check in and check out directions were very clear. Would stay here again!

This location is within walking distance to many stores and restaurants. Not only did Bill provide the basics, but even had some extras which was so nice. Such a comfortable and fun place to stay!

My 8-yr-old granddaughter and I loved this cute place! It was bigger than the photos show and very nice and clean. Ocean view was more than I expected and even though very close to the highway it didn’t bother us at all. The bed was very comfortable and we slept great. Very nice and well lit pet area for our dog. We stayed three nights and had everything we needed and more. We would definitely stay here again!

Such a perfect location between Lincoln city and Newport area with lots of little shops and restaurants nearby! The place was super cute and comfortable just as shown in the photos.

Very nice and clean air bnb! Lots of space and great amenities. The road noise and lights can get a little loud and bright at night but can be drowned out with earplugs or the fan provided in your space. The bed is also on the firm-side which could be a plus or minus depending on your preference. Smart TV seemed a little slow responding and froze a few times but not the end of the world. There was also a nice gazebo to sit and chat in to bring in the evening. Overall a really nice little find close to shopping and with beach access a short drive or walk away!

Great place to stay. Very comfortable, clean, and has all the basic necessities. The location is great. Highly recommend the Tidal Raves across the street but be warned wait can be two hours so sign in early. Enjoyed the view and proximity to little bench seating area to view sunset.

We liked how close to the coast the place was! The place itself was cozy, however, when we arrived, the place stank like pee. It was three of us, two of us shared a bed, and one of us slept on the couch, and the guest who slept on the couch couldn't sleep all night because the couch stank so bad. Just an FYI. Other than that, very cute and cozy.

Overall super great. We were in the front unit closest to the highway which had a lot of road noise so be aware of that. there was a fan in the room we used as white noise which helped. also, the room we stayed in was pet friendly and there were some pet odors. We had a great stay. It was easy to get in and out with no hassle. Nice walk to downtown Depoe Bay with stunning views. The only downside was the room did have an odor- almost like wet dog. We were able to air it out by opening all the windows. The room was nice, clean and welcoming. Not bad for an overnight stay.

Loved our stay at the Whale Inn! It was a very cozy room with a well stocked kitchen, should you need to cook or reheat meals. Despite being on the oppoite side of the road, you have a sneaky little view of the ocean right out your window, which was very cool. Super easy to walk into town for food, coffee and whale watching. Bill was VERY quick to respond to any requests. Right across the street is an AWESOME walking trail on the cliff with tables and benches to take in the full ocean views.

This place is lovely, very clean, well organized, much better than a motel. And, we will be back! Bill was extremely good with communication. There is a lot of traffic on Hwy 101, especially trucks. We use white noise all the time at night, so that helped.

This was our 2nd time staying here. We like that they take dogs and the unit is very clean. No animal odors at all. It’s right off the highway so if your a light sleeper you might want to bring earplugs. Otherwise it’s perfect.

Wow! What a hidden gem. We frequent the coat every few months and have driven by the Whale Inn many times. I am delighted we finally enjoyed a stay. The rooms are immaculate and updated. Cozy and charming. We stayed warm as we snuggled in be and watched movies. We were so content in our mini cottage we went to the market and made meals in room. Pancakes for breakfast were a treat. The kitchen is fully equipped for such light cooking. We stayed in unit #1 which is the closest to the road. It was quiet. I slept like a baby on the comfy bed. The room provided a plug in fan for some white noise if one might need. We had a view of the ocean and enjoyed long walks bundled up with hats, gloves and scarves. The coast is chilly this time a year. Depot bay shopping and restaurants are close by too. Overall this was one of our favorite stays. I highly recommend a visit to whale in for a close stay on the ocean. Depot Bay is my favorite. It truly is a magical little town on the ocean. Many thanks to Whale Inn for having us.

Bill was very easy to work with and accommodated a list minute booking for us. The room was very clean and the updated remodel looks great. Only about 15 minutes to Lincoln city. Would recommend.

So glad I chose to stay here! I really enjoyed my stay. Clean, orderly, as pictured and described etc. Thanks so much for giving me a much better experience and for giving me a great two days of comfort and space throughout my trip! It was a much needed reprieve!

The room was very clean, the bedding and pillows were quite comfortable with thoughtful touches and a clear theme (particularly enjoyed the whale cabinet knobs).

We wanted to plan a last minute getaway to take our family to the coast/aquarium/just do something fun and different! Found this place and it said it was usually booked and I know why! It’s a super quaint little spot on the outside, inside is updated, spacious, and VERY clean. I’m always a little worried when it’s a place that accepts pets but I saw/smelled NO trace of animals whatsoever in the unit. The location was awesome! A quick walk (or even quicker drive) to a little downtown area that has shops, restaurants, etc. there was a Safeway not far which would be great since the place has a full, updated, nice size kitchen! We chose not to cook this time though. Definitely plan to here stay again when we head that way.

A very nice remodel of a small, unpretentious roadside coastal motel in lovely Depoe Bay. Would work well for a small family. Charming, tasteful whale-themed decor. Comfortable furnishings. Very clean. Very nicely equipped full kitchen. A partial ocean view from kitchen window, View can also be seen when sitting up in the bed. This is an end unit. On the end closest to Hwy. 101. That location also makes possible the partial ocean view. I thought the traffic noise might bother me. It did not. And I really enjoyed that little ocean view :)

Gem of a location when traveling along the coast! A spacious, thoughtfully decorated & clean space with very comfortable bedding. The kitchen was well stocked and there were small special touches like providing wine/champagne glasses in room and playing cards/puzzles. I am always excited when there’s coffee provided as well (as there’s a Keurig in room with plenty of coffee supplies) 😁. We felt very at home and appreciated the updated appliances within the space. Be mindful, though, that any grocery stores or fast food is going to be roughly a 20 min drive either direction towards Newport/Lincoln city. It truly is in the center of both locations, so if you’re okay with a little travel time & a beautiful drive, this is the place for you. We highly recommend Kyllo’s 20 minutes away right on the beachfront in Lincoln City if you’re looking for a delicious meal & romantic evening as well! We also recommend C’est La Vie Cafe about 10 minutes away if you want an excellent French-style breakfast experience. Lastly, we were very happy that the location was pet friendly and we were able to bring our golden retriever, Charlie, with us on our travels. So very grateful for the excellent stay. Thanks, Bill!

What an amazing location and a great space. You are just off the busy road so there was some road noise. That said what a cute space recently updated. We got caught with some travel delay and arrived very late. The check in was so easy and appreciated. The bed was very comfortable and a great location to check out this amazing area.

The accommodations were adequate. The traffic at 5 AM on Highway 101 was incredibly loud. The glass shelf under the mirror in the bathroom was unstable and we removed it so it would not break and stuck it in the corner. The kitchen sink faucet should be replaced.

Stayed in the Orca room for one night. The room was perfect for the three of us (2 adults, 1 child). The room and amenities was everything we needed, and the location was within walking distance of several restaurants and viewing spots. Thank you for the lovely night.

This was a great little costal cabin, with everything we needed for the weekend. It was also very clean, which I especially appreciated. Check-in process was easy and while we didn’t encounter any issues during our stay, we know who to contact of a problem dis occur. I thought the bed was comfy and the traffic noise dis not bother us or our dog, but the road in front of this unit is busy. We will be staying at this property again and recommend it to others.

We had a perfect night at the Whale Inn Unit 1 in July. The unit is beautifully appointed with a beachy vibe. Very comfortable. The full kitchen allowed us to eat in after a long day on the road sight seeing. The bed and pull out were comfy, and noise was not bad even though you are close to the Hwy. The walk along the ocean is great. Lots to see and do within walking distance. Awesome coffee across the street, which I recommend. Gas next door. Check-in was easy and keyless. Location was perfect. Thank you!

This is a perfect place to call home if you want to explore Depoe Bay. Very clean with thoughtful touches and plenty of room. Be sure to walk over to the Tide Pool Pub for some of the best pizza you’ll ever eat.

This place is a gem. We did not expect it to be that nice.

Really great spot, directly across the street from the only beach access in Depoe Bay (you actually use a rope to climb down to the beach, which very fun for the kids!) Check-in & out was a breeze and the place was incredibly clean and perfect for our family of 4 (kids slept on the pull-out sleeper sofa). We would definitely book this location again if we were ever back in the area.

First I want to say they are so nice here, and great communication. The place is spotless and has a cute beach home feel to it. They even put thought into extra things for you most places don’t; makeup wipes, toothbrushes, shaver. That was such a nice touch! Very thoughtful. Will 100% be planning near future trip back. Also yes the ocean is right across! The little town is super adorable and friendly as well!

Perfect little cabin all upgrades except the bed was so uncomfortable and the location on the road was so noisey was impossible to sleep, left early to go home and take a nap. Owners have done all they could to upgrade except the mattress on the bed as cannot change the location

This is the cutest airbnb I have ever stayed in. The room was very spacious with three of us staying in it, and the pull out couch was comfortable. The amenities are a nice touch as well, they provided shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion and even a keurig coffee maker and microwave popcorn. Basically everything you need is provided and more. The location is also perfect, you cross the street and you're at the ocean. We loved staying here and wish we had more time.

This spot is absolutely a perfect stay at Depoe Bay, the houses are extremely clean and cozy and the host is very friendly and responsive, even has a list of things to do around the bay!

We stayed in Unit #1 super pretty inside, enough space for me and my husband and our toddler. We had some small issues but were resolved quickly within 15 minutes so I will definitely be back with that kind of service. Thanks for the wonderful weekend at the coast

I appreciated the full kitchen. It felt more like a furnished apartment and it had lots of space. Cozy and relaxing.

The whale inn was a perfect spot to stay during our trip up the coast. We only stayed for one night, but it has all the amenities for an extended stay. We will definitely stay longer next time we’re in the area.

EXTREMELY CLEAN and absolutely worth every penny and more! Located within walking distance to everything from coffee shops, whale watching areas, to restaurants, this is now ny favorite place to stay at the coast. Cleanliness is extremely impressive to me, and I couldn't find a single hair, dusty spot or any dirty place anywhere! The things they provided were tactfully hospitable, and even offered a full dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. TV with lots of viewing options, and super soft sheets! They were dog friendly and had special cover for the couch to keep it clean. This place was truely amazing.

We enjoyed our quick stay. The location is perfect as you can walk to little shops and restaurants. Prior to arriving, Bill had suggestions for restaurants posted, which really helped as we got in later than we had planned. We got takeout at The Horn and the food was fantastic, as well as the staff were all very friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

Defiantly recommend staying here. Is within walking distance from a hide away beach, lead down by a rope. The Owners left activity/food recommendations, which we ate out at one of the restaurants mentioned, also within walking distance, had the best fish and chips I’d ever had. Our stay was very clean, and the home design was modern chic. Felt very cozy during my stay, will DEFINITELY be returning in the future.

Very clean it was a little cold and windy outside when we got there. but the heat was on and there was ice in the freezer . The bed was very comfortable. The map and pictures made it look like it was right next to the main road and it was , but the room was very quiet. we will definitely be going back

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Depot Bay, especially since we had this wonderful place to use as our home base. We were super comfortable and the kitchen made it extra nice. We were able to hike, browse shops, visit local eateries, and just rekindle our relationship. This was the perfect location. Thank you to hosts who obviously care for their visitors! Excellent choice and safe, clean, contactless check in. I love that the combination keypad let us in without any issues. Many of the services nearby have reduced hours so if you're looking to get takeout, plan to pick up by 7pm just to be safe.

Great space in Depoe Bay! Very spacious and open rental. Extra little touches such as lots of extra cable channels, toothbrushes/razors/shaving cream and Bath and Body Works hygiene products. Even though the unit is right on the highway, it was very quiet and good nights sleep.

Nice little spot, worked out perfectly for a work trip to have meetings in the space. It is what you would expect for a little Inn on the HWY but I picture it being a great spot to stay at during the summer when you would be outside doing things all day and would just need a place to sleep at night. Very clean and cozy suite. The kitchen has decent counter space, but is sparsely stocked with very basic kitchen supplies. There are absolutely no spices or vinegar on site - so bring all the food/spices/vinegar/oil with you. Unfortunately, we had to drive all the way to Lincoln City to get groceries (a 25 minute drive) as the closer grocery store didn't have a good selection of seafood (in part due to a broken freezer). The bed was too soft for our liking. Overall a great, inexpensive, clean place to stay.

Great little spot in Depoe Bay. There is a wonderful restaurant (Tidal Raves), a great brewery (Depoe Bay Brewery), and many boutique shops within walking distance from the rental. AND you're likely to see whales on your walk! A few points about the rental ...The kitchen wasn't super well-stocked- you'll need to bring your own salt, oil, etc. - but all appliances worked. The smoke alarm in the unit works a little too well; it will go off if you use the oven. A "dog sheet" is provided to lay on the furniture so your furry family members have somewhere to relax too.

This is a very clean, comfortable, and homey location, centrally-located in Depoe Bay. It is within walking distance of the ocean and downtown shops, and only a short drive to either Lincoln City to the north or Newport to the south. I would definitely stay here again!

This space was adorable and a perfect stop on our road trip! It was so close to everything we needed and you could see the ocean from the kitchen window! The space was tidy and clean and and just the right size for our party of three. We are definitely planning on staying here again next time we come through!

This unit is very clean and nicely updated. It is pretty close to the road but there isn't much traffic at night and it was pretty quiet nevertheless. Shower was just ok - if you're particular about this, you might be disappointed. Everything else worked great. A special shout out to the person cleaning the unit after check out - we left an icepack behind and returned shortly after check out to retrieve it. By then she'd already cleaned out the place but she noticed I was looking for something and went and found it for me. I do appreciate little gestures of nicety.

Bills place held an outstanding location and offered a great view for sunset. Really easy to find/central to the heart of depoe bay. Perfect for myself and my sister to spend a cozy night at the coast. Nice shower, amenities, cozy bed. Right across from a great dispensary and cute coffee shop. Down the street from several stores and restaurants ! Great price and great service

Very cute place

Even though it was during covid. The place is really clean and the location is amazing. It is not by the coast like the other locations but it just a short one minute walk or so to see the beautiful view of the coast. So be sure to check it out. The host is very responsive. However we would recommend that if you have a party of more than 2 or 3 you should book two rooms for sure.

A tidy and beautiful spot by the seaside, and a great spot to use as a home base for any activities you plan throughout the day.

We enjoyed our stay in unit 1 and appreciated Bill's quick responses to our questions, as well as the tip for the beautiful walk across the highway and down the street for beautiful views. It was nice to have the kitchenette so didn't have to eat out for every meal. Depoe Bay harbor is beautiful and whale watching is available. We enjoyed a trip to Devil's Punchbowl (15 minutes away) and the nice beach there, which is great for beginning surfers. If you have more time, Thor's Well in Lincoln City (30 minutes away) is a popular site too.

We had a great stay! The location is perfect for walking down to all the fun shops in Depoe Bay. It was so nice to not have to worry about finding parking! Beds were comfortable. There were plenty of linens. We appreciated having a full kitchen for making meals. We would definitely recommend this rental and would stay again!

This is a great base for exploring Depoe Bay. The unit was spacious and clean. I loved the little extras provided such as toothbrushes and shave cream. The kitchen had everything you needed to prepare and serve meals. Be warned though this unit is right on Hwy 101 which is noisy as it is the main highway along the coast. This didn't bother us, as I sleep with a sound machine anyway, but it could bother the average person. Also a lot of people state the bed is extremely comfortable, the sheets were magnificent...so soft. The issue for us was so was the bed, it was too soft for us as both of us have back issues and require a slightly firmer mattress then what was provided. So the comfort factor of the bed depends on your need for a soft or firmer mattress. Overall I would highly recommend this unit (5 star) with these caveats.

Convenient dog friendly stopping point for whale watching & dining. Dedicated parking and no contact check-in was a plus. Big kitchen in an efficient space for those looking to cook. Large floor fan made street noise less noticeable and was much appreciated. I did not personally find the bed to be comfortable, but many other reviewers enjoyed it.

Beautiful home, The room was very home feeling and very spacious for 2 people. Perfect location in the middle of Depoe bay! If you drive up a little more into Depoe there is plenty of viewing sites and plenty of spot to pull over and walk down to the more private beach. Definitely would recommend Bills place, great value!

We stayed at Bills place as a last minute change in plans and instead of just a place to stay for the night we found ourselves in a relaxing studio air bnb with access to some beautiful sites. Bill made the last minute reservation easy with great communication and a well stocked, relaxing place to stay. The beautiful views within walking distance was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Great little spot within walking distance of many Depoe bay shops and the coast. The door code didn’t work when we arrived but a quick phone call and the owner remotely reset it! Great response time! The apartment was beautifully decorated and well appointed. Like all coastal spots, did feel a bit humid/damp but not moldy or uncomfortable. Since it is right on Hwy 101 there is road noise and the windows are older/thin- I always bring a white noise machine so not a problem for me. Overall excellent experience and will be returning!

Easy access to the 101 and right down the street from the whale watching center and downtown where you can get a chowder bowl or book a whale watching boat. All of this of course after the Corona scare!! I'll be back!

Bill’s place is a very aptly decorated, roomy studio with a GREAT bed plus hide-a-bed, fully equipped kitchen, easy access & a very pleasant place to stay. It was very reasonably priced, the communication was clear & very efficient. It’s convenient to all the sights & places to go from north to Lincoln City & south to Newport. You can see the ocean across 101, get great coffee across the street & walk the short distance to Depoe Bay candy & gift shops, restaurants, museum & aquarium, watch whales or just enjoy the ocean action. I give it a whale’s tale UP!

This is a great place. Nice full kitchen. All the comforts of home. Very well decorated. Lighting is just right. Loved it!

Not a bad stay, with a convenient commute to any local activities. However, it’s right off a major and busy road so be mindful of the noise. The interior is a little mouldy so if you have trouble with allergies, asthma or breathing, it might be a problem. Pro tip: The 76 station convenience store next door is a little sketchy, check expiration dates on food!!!!

Bill’s place is as advertised. It sits on Highway 101, and it across the street from the ocean. There were a few small beaches near the apartment, but you really have to drive about 10 minutes away to get that “beach” feel. The area was very walkable towards town.

Bill’s place was perfect for a getaway with our friends to the coast! The place was super cozy, clean, and such a great location! The whale watching center is a short walk from the place, as well as so many shops and restaurants. I will definitely be staying again in the summer for summer whale watching! Spotted some otters and harbor seals right by the whale watching center while I was there.

This place is super clean and really nice!!! From the outside you aren’t sure what to expect but it looks just like the pictures!! There is even a Keurig with two pods for you to have! YES!! Right next to a gas station and a cute coffee and breakfast place (Pirate Coffee), right down the road from walkable beaches! We loved it!

Beautiful space and great location

Bill was responsive and easy to book a stay with. His space was in a great location, close to water for whale watching and the perfect amount of room for our little family getaway.

We had a lovely stay all be in for one night. Great location. Short walk for whale spotting and a good morning coffee. Room was lovely with all the facilities you would need! Best kitchen and cooking facilities that we have had at an AirBnB. Would highly recommend

The place was clean as the pictures depict. We were across the street from the ocean and had a great view! We even saw a whale out the window. The accommodations were comfortable and we were happy to take advantage of the kitchen. We would absolutely stay here again if/when we come back. Check-in was easy and we had everything we needed for our stay.

Fresh style, great room with fully stocked kitchen. We cooked many meals to save $ on eating out. Unit #1 is DIRECTLY next to the main Hwy 101, so traffic is very close and noisy but it’s a great location, easy to find and central to all of our favorite things on the coast. We come to the area every year and would stay again, but will aim to stay in a unit further from the highway. There’s no closet but some drawers for clothes, nice touches like games in the drawers and coffee for the coffee makers etc. We loved it overall.

The space was very clean and well cared for. There were many little whale touches that added to the overall charm of the space. Being able to walk across the street and see whales in the bay was a huge plus! Not to mention the great food and shops within walking distance. I highly recommend picking this spot to stay in the bay.

This place was fantastic! Very clean and nice. No complaints. My wife and I spent the majority of our time in Lincoln City which is very close to depot bay. We would definitely stay here again.

We were really impressed with the comfort and style of this place. We were just there for a quick overnight stay but could see using it as a base of operations for a longer coast trip in the future.

We had a nice restful stay. Bill was very helpful and accommodating. We were only stopping through so we cannot comment on attractions.

This was a very convenient location with a full kitchen which was great! It was slightly loud being right next to the road but we still slept ok.

A great place to stay, Depoe Bay is just big enough to have a few nice places to eat and to walk around and enjoy the Main Street, and it's close enough to Lincoln City to still enjoy all the things it has to offer as well. The room was very nice and we will stay again next summer.

Would recommend staying here. The unit(s) are well furnished and everything was in pristine condition. Location is close to main strip of Depoe Bay, and across the street from an eccentric and unique coffee shop that I would also highly recommend! Assigned parking so you know you will have a parking spot.

The Inn is cute, nicely decorated & clean. The only downfall is Unit 1 is right on the road so you can hear the traffic going by. I woke up at 6am instead of getting to sleep in a bit. If you are a deep sleeper like my husband & child then all is well. Perfect location with local Depoe Bay places to walk to! ❤️❤️❤️

What a lovely space! Super close to the ocean (can see it from the kitchen window!) with great amenities. Yes, you do get car noises, but it's not super loud (though we're used to sleeping with the white noise machine for our baby). I appreciated the full kitchen and all the toiletry options in the bathroom. Parking was easy. My only recommendation is to research food before hand (especially if you got little ones with early bedtimes) because we got stuck with not a lot of options so we frequented the gas station across the street. Highly recommend!

Great location for easy walking access to all the main attractions in Depoe Bay. Clean and cute interior to hang out in if the weather isn't great also.

I cannot recommend The Whale Inn enough! It is much more spacious inside than it appears to be outside. The room was recently remodeled & the whale-themed decor was so cute! There were so many nice touches like an extra toothbrush, razors, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, etc. It was nice to be able to relax after a long day. The location is also great & within walking distance from coffee shops, a convenience store, and ocean views. Our hosts were great with communication & when they had to change the keypad code at the last minute, they called & let me know immediately. Great value for your money!

The place was perfect for just two people. I love how comfortable the bed was. The only thing is you don’t really see the ocean from the room. And you are next to the road.

My hubby and I booked this place last minute due to scheduling issues. It’s easy to find! If you want something on the beach where you open up your door and walk onto the beach, this is not the place. However, it is walking distance to everything! Loved the coffee for the morning! We went for a little one night get away and still enjoyed ourselves immensely!! Thank you!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our time staying at this lovely place! It was near shops and even had a private little cove just across the street. Although it was near the road, it was not as loud as I thought it would be. It was super clean and it was comfortable to stay in.

Very clean and thoughtful. Great location for whale watching and close enough to walk to local shops. Light sleepers be warned it is right off hwy101, so Busier days could be an issue.

Very cute space! They have great suggestions on where to eat and what’s in the area. The bay is in walking distance which made for a wonderful morning stroll.

Stylish and clean little space in a great location. We appreciated the quality shampoos and other nice touches like coffee creamer and popcorn. Only took off a star because it was a cold night and the space heater did not do the best job of keeping us warm. We would still highly recommend staying here.

Very comfortable and cozy place to stay! Couple of minutes walk from downtown shops or to see the cliffs. Loved that I could sip my coffee at the kitchen table and look at the ocean. What a little gem!

Bill has a wonderful place in a great location. The road noise can be a bit loud but the traffic quiets down at night. I appreciated the designated parking too!

I do not recommend this accommodation. Linens were obviously not changed and the bed was made (I left a more detailed note on the private message board to the host). The more expensive room was advertised as the more desirable room because it was the larger one. However, this room is right off the highway and street so people walking on the sidewalk could just look in.
