wonderful stay as always, great getaway for our anniversary

It was a perfect birthday getaway for myself and my kiddos. Peggy made it easy to accommodate us and communicated well with me and my concerns. The location was great, convenient and nearby to the main area with attractions and shops.

My best friend and I wanted a little getaway for the night and the suite we stayed in was perfect size and it was overall a cute area that gave like a little cottage vibe!

It was a great lottle motel right by the ocean, they just need to wash their comforters more often smelled musty, but other than that it was perfect. Thank you

Excellent walking proximity to Depoe Bay whale watching.

Perfect place for R and R. My dog loved it too. We walked into town every day, always pausing ocean side to see the whales. Every single day they did not disappoint. I also saw a couple of harbor seals as well. The surrounding area offers lots of beautiful scenery too.

I really liked staying at Pacific View Lodging / Troller's Inn. I was there for five days. It is an old fashioned--in the very best way--kind of place. You have a relaxed atmosphere, very fine accommodations, and no interruptions. I had all the needed essentials: coffee pot, hot water pot, microwave, refrigerator/freezer that I needed. I highly recommend this property and accommodations.

We just needed a place to stay halfway between Seattle and Eureka and picked this place on a whim. We were so happy with our choice. You're so close to the bluffs, right on the ocean side of the 101. The space was perfect for me, my husband, and our 9 year old daughter. We got in and appreciated the self check-in. We walked down the road for some dinner and really enjoyed the walk there and back. Nice to stop on the bluffs to look at the ocean and check out the bridge and harbor. Would definitely stay here again. Hosts were friendly and all the information I needed was provided in advance. Bathroom and linens were all nice and clean.

We came for an early morning fishing trip. The fridge in the room is nice because it also has a small freezer that allows us to heat up our breakfast sandwiches in the morning. The coffee maker is full size which is also nice.

The location is wonderful

We stayed in the studio #4 with our 10 and 13 year olds. They stayed on the pull out couch and thought it was super comfortable. Quick and easy walk to Bayview Thai for dinner then walked to The Sea Hag for breakfast the next morning. Was perfect for us! Would stay again when we road trip the 101 again.

What a great place in the most beautiful place. Literally walking distance from shops and whale watching. Beautiful views and very dogs friendly, if you are looking for a quiet oasis definitely have to check this place out.

Had a great one night stay at Troller’s Lodge! It was a perfect studio spot for the 3 of us just for a night and the area was so quiet. Would definitely recommend and we’ll return!

The place was absolutely adorable and comfortable. It was close to restaurants and the ocean, it was everything we wanted. And the price was extremely affordable, which was the ultimate deciding factor in staying there. Bill and Peggy were extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. The process of checking in and checking out was quick and simple. We will definitely stay here again.

Great and easy stay for a quick overnight trip!

Great place to stay! We stopped here for one night as we made our way down the coast. Clean. Clear instructions. Quiet. Small but comfortable. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. We will definitely be staying here again next time we are in the area.

The room and the bathroom was small, but the room was cute and fit 5 people. The staff were polite and let me know I left my hat behind so I could get it before I drove home. My dogs enjoyed the room too. Very close to the baywatching area and shopping center.

Nice little place for a quick, quiet getaway!

The place was great! The bed was a little hard on my husband’s back, but that’s more of an US issue than an issue with the place. Views were nice, room was clean and accurate to the photos!

This was such a great place for us! If you really just need a place to land after all the many adventures that are around, this place is perfect! It was a clean and comfortable home away from home! They use their space very well and it is in a lovely quiet neighborhood!

This was the perfect location for my daughter, our two small dogs, and myself. It was within walking distance to some local restaurants and shops and near some places we wanted to explore. It was very clean and easy to access. The owners/managers were excellent about answering my questions and helping me.

A nice little airbnb in a fun area, easy to find. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. There are other units and it was full, but it was still pretty quiet. Would stay here again.

This was a nice place for a quick trip to the coast. Really liked that the assigned parking space was basically right at the front door, as well as the pet area outside. They included extra towels/sheets for pets, and we appreciated the extra toiletries, makeup remover wipes, toothbrush, shaving cream, etc. The room is not extremely spacious but still had a lot of amenities. We got dinner from the Thai restaurant that was recommended (just a 3 minute walk away) and it was great! Would recommend staying here.

This is our third time staying at one of Peggy and Bill’s listings. the prices are SO reasonable for the views/experiences you get. our stay was absolutely lovely; quiet guests, sound of the waves at night, and really comfortable and thoughtful space. The room had everything reasonable for a small-space stay; comfy bed, couch, writing desk, microwave, fridge, and hot water heater. We made terrific memories in Depoe Bay and Peggy was so accommodating and helpful. Next time we do another vacation stay we will DEFINITELY be booking with them! 🫶

We had a good stay here and the room had everything we needed. My only note is that the pull out coach mattress is thin and the whole bed sags, which is sometimes to be expected with a sleeper sofa. It’s probably fine for children but it’s not ideal for an adult to sleep comfortably.

Great, convenient two night stay. Best price and beat staying at a motel. Came from the hot desert. It was nice to smell and feel the ocean again. Fished with our buddies at Tradewinds charter in Depot Bay. Absolutely one of best trips of a lifetime. Literally filled the boat that day!!

It’s a great spot to stop for a night but definitely not comfortable enough for an existences stay. We would return but to one of the larger rooms if we planned to stay again.

The instructions were good and getting there was good. The place was a bit dated but clean. The pictures were different than expected but there are several units. At the time the price was high, but could be due to summer time.

#4 is a nice, dog-friendly room with a couch close to views and the ocean. We really enjoyed staying at Trollers Lodge in Depoe Bay!

adorable little cottage. nothing FANCY , but cute and cozy. we loved the location and the privacy. we have always tent camped at the state parks. but when Beverly Beach cancelled our reservations we had to scramble to find alternative locations. this wad our first experience with VRBO. And we most likely will be back next summer. me and my wife have been vacationing on the oregon coast for over 15 years, 4 of the last with our twin granddaughters who are now 6. many memories where made this week and thank you Bill and Peggy for being so helpful. Great little place to stay in Depoe bay we didn’t want to leave, depoe was a lot of fun

I had a cozy stay in Depoe Bay, which is just what I was looking for on a solo trek to the coast. It's within walking distance of the whale-watching center, restaurants, and shops. I had a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. There was travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and makeup remover. I had bought some food in town and utilized the microwave to reheat my food. I went on nice walks to see the ocean. I did see a couple of seals, and June is a nice time of year to visit the coast. There was a beeping sound every 15 minutes in the neighborhood. I am unsure what that was; it appeared distant yet noticeable. I got emails and texts to ensure I had directions and instructions for my stay. Right by the stay, the parking spot for my car was nice.

Great place to stay!

It was just like pictures. I liked the assigned parking spots. Very clean and nicely remodeled. Great stay for my little family. It is on a hill off the 101 so you don’t hear the traffic. We will definitely have to come back.

Placing small essentials in bathroom like makeup wipes, toothbrushes, and razors! Th hosts sent out so much info and recommendations for the town and we really enjoyed ourselves. It is what it says it is, that is, just a small motel room. The location is amazing though.

My experience mirrored that of many of the other reviewers: enjoyable, peaceful, with the accommodation and location as described. I visited this part of the coast in hopes of seeing the Perseid meteor showers. The weather cooperated! Just a 1-2 minute walk away is a semi-secluded spot with an ocean view. From there I enjoyed the Milky Way, the Perseids, the Big Dipper just above the coastline, and the passing overhead of a dozen satellites. So this is a fine place to stay and affords a nice spot for seeing the night sky. I met Bill and really enjoyed our conversation. He and Peggy and team create a terrific experience, from the communication, to effortless check-in, to sharing tips and recommendations for hiking, local restaurants, etc. I'll certainly return.

I had a wonderful stay here! I was actually booked at a different hotel... it was so bad I didn't want to stay the second night. I literally booked this Airbnb at 11pm while hoping not to get murdered in the disgusting room I was already in. Bill and Peggy were great, even getting me in early. Wonderful place and hosts!

We really enjoyed our stay. Check-in was easy, and we didn't hear any other guests around us, so it was really quiet. We used some of their recommendations, and we really enjoyed what we ate and the beach we played at. We would stay again!

It was such a cute little place close to eating and activities. They had a list of places to eat and see. It was very clean and wanr and they even stocked a few incidentals! I definitely have them on my list for any future visits to the area!

It was quiet and relalaxing. And it was enjoyable for our puppy. Was nice to have sheets to put on the couch and bed. The assistant manager greated us was a big smile. She was a sweetheart.

Exactly what we needed to get up early for a fishing charter in Newport! They were flexible with changing weather conditions as well. Quick to respond to any messages or calls.

Bill and Peggy’s place was perfect for what we needed. It was very clean and had a lot of seating even though it’s a pretty small place. They also provided good coffee which was a major plus!

This is a great, economical option for crashing for a few days on the coast. We really liked the fact the location is dog friendly and that they have a grassy area for our pup to use the bathroom complete with poop bags and a garbage.

Nice location, nice touches. You could hear the ocean at night with the window cracked. I like how they had local coffee in the room. I was impressed by how clean the unit was and how clean it smelled, especially being pet friendly. They even have designated pet relief areas and baggies. Great price for what you get. I wish everyone on Airbnb would take notes from these guys! Helps to have a nice time when you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg for it :) I took a card. Definitely will come back. Thanks!

Great little spot. We weighed spending more somewhere else to be able to cook inside but it worked out for us. I was a little leery as they were pet friendly, but there was NO pet smell when we walked in. Everything was clean and in order. Our bed was actually comfortable. It's within walking distance of downtown Depoe Bay and all that it offers. We opted to drive as it was raining but it would be very doable. We'll be staying here again.

It was great to have designated parking per unit, as it was very nice to not worry about finding a spot when coming in later. The unit was clean, nicely decorated, and overall very comfortable. Having the water cooker in the room was very convenient. One recommendation would be to have a small storage table in the bathroom (next to sink) in order to have a place for your toiletry bag(s). Overall, recommend for a short stay.

This place was perfect for our trip to see the King tides! Everything was as described and the staff we saw were very friendly. Good parking options and walkable to many restaurants!

Bill emailed and texted information clearly and timely. We never met, but he sounds friendly. There are 4 buildings with 4 units each on the property, yet it was quiet and we felt safe. The electronic entry device is easy to use and Bill explains how to use it with photos. I appreciate a clean place, and it was recently updated and clean. He even had a Christmas light show going on the property with others on street behind the property. Very thoughtful.

The room was super clean and Bill was a great host. My girlfriend forgot her insulin there and mailed it back to her which we were super grateful for.

Made a last minute trip to end off summer, our room was nice and cozy and easy check in. was awesome being able to park right next to our unit #4. Had to take some stars off due to the smell of cat urine quit heavy in the bathroom. These are pet friendly units so it does make sense would definitely recommend going into a non pet friendly unit if you don't have pets with you. All in all we enjoyed ourselves and had a great experience. Thanks for having us Bill

Great little, clean vintage spot. We loved walking down the back stairs of the property and taking in the views as we strolled over the bridge watching all the whale tails. It’s a short, beautiful walk from the property and we did it at least three times in the short 24 hours we were there! Bill has included some thoughtful extras and we loved this little gem on the hilltop. The bed was great. Great price for all you need to enjoy this little town.

Was awesome

This was a quick last minute rental which was perfect for 2 adults and our daughter plus our pup! We walked over to watch the sea lions and peruse the little shops. The little lodge was small but big enough for us and was even upgraded from the photos with new linens and sofa and clean new laminate floors which were easy to clean up sand and puppy paw prints. Loaded with coffee for the morning and nice linens and toiletries! Thank you!

Great location, walking distance to the waterfront and harbor, and a short drive to Newport. Rooms are clean and updated. We even got to see some grey whales!

We loved this place. It was a short walk from town, the room was clean and felt very comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bill's Airbnb. When we arrived, it was pouring rain, and it was so nice to find our parking spot right outside of our cozy room. It was nice to not have to unpack the car and walk across a parking lot to get to our location. Our room was clean, welcoming, and had all the amenities we needed. There were thoughtful touches like a really soft bathroom rug, makeup remover wipes, individually-wrapped toothbrushes, a bar of soap for the shower, and even a hairdryer. We were also glad for the small refrigerator, since we came back with some leftovers after dinner. Our pre-teen son slept comfortably on the sofa bed, and he was happy to see that there was a TV he could watch cartoons on. Our stay was for a Mother's Day get away, and we really enjoyed ourselves, and would like to stay again in the future for other occasions. Though we didn't bring a pet this time, it was nice to know the location is pet-friendly for the future.

Decent place for what we needed, a place to sleep four of us and our dog. Loved that it was pet friendly.

Bill was very accommodating; I was unable to make it to the lodge due to unforseen circumstances and he did everything to make sure my refund was received. I will be coming back to stay with them for sure. Sad I couldn't make it this time around but they'll be other times!

We stayed overnight as part of a long distance trip along the coast. The room is basically part of a 50's style motel complex immediately 1/4 mile south of Depoe Bay. Room's been refurbished and made over to compete with other AirBnB's in the vicinity. Location is excellent and within walking distance to restaurants, whale watching tours, and the incredible views looking towards the oceans and migrating whales.

This location was sweet, simple, clean, and a good value. Highly recommend as a home base for a stay in the Oregon coast!

For the money, you can’t beat this place. It’s just enough for a few day stay while exploring the area. Very clean, comfy room. It had exactly what you needed for a stay. The addition of plenty of pillows and blankets, the toiletries provided and bandaids of all things that I happened to need was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend.

Great little Nook in Depoe Bay! And can’t beat the price. I also left my brand new big Fuzzy Blanket there, so now there will be an Extra blanket in the room 😂 haha. The Trollers Lodge is really the best location for a place to stay in Depoe Bay. It is very quiet and easy walking distance to everything you'd like to see or eat. We stayed here to celebrate New Years Eve and I appreciated how peaceful it was. The room was small yet cozy and close to Otter Rock, my favorite place to surf! Thank you again for such a smooth check-in process and making sure we were comfortable and happy. Happy New Beginnings!

Great location on Depoe Bay, easy to walk around the area and into the harbor. It was cozy but exactly as described and very clean. Loads of bathroom items. The Keurig was welcome and well used. Excellent communication and easy check in/out.

Troller’s Lodge is a wonderfully located motel and reminds me of my childhood stays at the beach. This isn’t a fancy property and definitely has its quirks. It’s old but it’s clean and the staff are amazing. They’ve gone out of their way to add touches of home you don’t find in chain hotels anymore. The room I was in was very small but comfortably furnished. You feel like you’re staying at a great-Aunt’s home, but one with WiFi. Guests see each other as the room doors open to outside and a common walkway. Dogs are allowed and welcomed. There are peek-a-boo views of the ocean and you can hear the waves crash if you keep your window open. The walk into town took about 3 minutes. I would stay here again and enjoyed the nostalgia of this property.

A cute, quaint rental near the main area of Depoe Bay and just off the main drag so pretty quiet . Nice touches in the bathroom (extra items in case you forgot), terrific hot shower and a deep memory Foam bed (if you like that). We prefer a firmer bed so it was tough for us. Bill had great communication. Super take out from Tidal Raves restaurant for dinner.

This place is in a great location. It’s really nice because you can park your car right next to your room, and unload your stuff. It has everything you could ask for including shavers and toothbrushes. It is very clean, and tightly. I would definitely recommend this place!!

We very much enjoyed our stay, and we’re glad we could book somewhat last minute. The room is a bit small, but it didn’t take away from our stay. The scenic viewpoint nearby was gorgeous. We also enjoyed the close walking distance to town, and we saw some whales!

What a great location to enjoy Depoe Bay, we especially loved the views and to be able to walk to our favorite Thai restaurant and coffee place. Space was a little tight for three people and a dog, but it was so great to be able to have our pup with us. Thank you for offering a great pet friendly place right on the coast!

Not the cleanest, especially the bathroom, but good location by whale watching. Bed was nice. Appreciated the bathroom supplies. Didn’t respond to a question we asked them.

This place is just like the little beach motels I vacationed at as a child, with updates. It was a snug fit for me, my husband, teenage daughter and small dog, but our unit was clean and comfortable. Although we heard the occasional truck on Highway 101, more often it was the sounds of the surf and ocean buoy that reached our ears. Within easy walking distance of the Depot Bay Bridge and line of small tourist shops and restaurants.

This is a very cute classic ocean side inn. The grounds are very well maintained, tidy, and quiet. We heard not a peep from our abutting guests or their dogs during our stay. The location is centrally located between Lincoln City attractions and beaches and those of Newport’s. Our stay in #7 was wonderful, comfortable, and exceedingly clean. Fold out beds are always uncomfortable to some degree, but our 14 year old made the best of it. The host was easy to communicate with and attentive. Overall we would stay here again.

Good spot! Super easy check in with covid. Definitely want to stay here again if we come back to depoe bay.

We loved the place! Very much appreciated all the little special touches like the extra toothbrushes, blankets, pillows, Keurig coffee, wine glasses, nice toiletries rather than that cheap stuff so many places leave. Price was more than fair. The location was excellent. Communication was plentiful, pleasant and accurate. The coast is kind of our frequent playground so we will plan on visiting one of their locations again soon!

A great little place to get away from the city fuss!!

Very clean, nice amenities, pet friendly and super close to the beach. A bit of a tight fit if you have kiddos but we managed for one night. I like the personal touch with the scented lotion, soaps and extra hygiene items.

Quick and easy no contact check in. Super affordable. Just the right size. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick weekend getaway that is close enough to the beach access (still have to drive) but also close to cute shops and a scenic walk.

This place is perfectly located walking distance from EVERYTHING in Depoe Bay!!! Pets are welcome! No contact check-in means you can show up late and get into your room without a fuss. Parking area is perfect. Call for extra towels and tp if you’re staying more than one night. $20 whale watching excursions just down the block? I will stay here again! Excellent value!!!

Troller’s Lodge was great. Very clean and close to downtown Depoe Bay

Depoe Bay is small, but the views are fantastic and the location to other beach access locations is great! The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and quiet.

The stay in Depoe Bay was great. Came here to get away from the poor air quality in Central Oregon and ended up really enjoying this little town. Even in Covid times!

Clean, super quick and helpful communications, great, quiet location, nice unexpected amenities. Bed was super-soft (which was not good for our personal situation, but I know lots of people do like very soft beds). I would stay here again in a heartbeat if it had a firm mattress!

Bill's place at the Troller's lodge was amazing! We had a great time, even with the early morning quick bug out due to local wildfires. Can't match the price with the location. Depoe Bay is absolutely our favorite spot on the coast! The room had some great touches, popcorn, and extra toothbrushes, and random stuff you often forget at home. Can't wait to be back!

So if you were to look at an wrist view before staying here, you’d see you are surrounded by was and and thriving fishing village with one of the coolest hidden bays I’ve ever seen. You will hear waves at your door, you can easily walk to the Bay from the location. They decorated this little place with all a new floor, and all the art on the walls is related to being near the sea. On a short walk we saw seals, and a whale watching tour, and we saw whales. When we went over to the hidden bay, we also saw the Coast Guard heading out. I’m so glad I randomly picked this location on the map on Air BnB it’s my very first stay ever! They gave a fudge, a Keurig, and little makeup face cloths and wipes for people like me! The shower and bedding and towels were clean and I felt safe staying here during a pandemic 🤓

The check-in process was easy and convenient. Both bill and his wife were lovey hosts and very easy to communicate with. The room was slightly different than pictured, and the bright porch light made it hard to sleep for someone sensitive to light, but overall we had a LOVELY and safe/clean stay. Thank you so much for your sharing accommodations. What a beautifully adorable property!

Very charming and quaint place. Exactly what you'd hope to stay at off of the coast. Well decorated, very clean, enjoyable. Felt just like a hotel would in a charming coastal town.

The hosts were communicative and check in was super simple. A nice, quiet, clean place close to the water.

The Trollers Lodge is a nice little place to stay at the south end of Depot Bay. Everything was as described and I appreciated having a slightly larger fridge than many hotels have so I could keep extra snacks and drinks cold.

The place is very cute and quaint! Love the location, and the little details of the room and site. Owner was very polite and helpful. Would love to stay again 😊

Bill and Peggy were great hosts, friendly and quick response to our questions. Bill was telling us what restaurant to go for yummy food and where to watch the waves ... the place is really clean and just enough for 2-3 people. I only wish the bed was bigger and more comfortable, other than that it was great spot to spend the night !

The room is small but functional, especially just for overnight. The layout wouldn’t be conducive for much longer. The location is right off the highway and a block from the ocean but you can’t really walk to it.

Super cute space. Great value. Loved being so close to the beach. Watched the sunset from the bridge which is walking distance. Just an all around great time. Our pup loved it too! 💞
