The Moby House

This was my first time renting through VRBO. I selected this house for the ocean view and amenities as we had three generations plus our dog in our party. It’s a great place to stay! The property manager is quick to respond to any questions.The kitchen has a good supply of cookware and a cast iron skillet! The coffee pot is a dual drip/Keurig style. I usually bring my own pods but didn’t this time and there was tea but no coffee, just FYI so one can plan ahead! A good variety of seasonings & staples are provided if you choose to cook a meal or two during your stay. Overall the house is very clean but the kitchen drawers & cupboards need to be wiped down better.The house has nice decor and does not smell like dog at all! The provided coverlets are great. The rooms are nice with books and magazines. If you have a bad back, the upstairs bed is your best bet, with a beautiful view too! The hot tub is great and there are beach towels provided. On one of the photos it says “fee” for hot tub so I confirmed with the property manager before getting in and there is no fee. Overall great house and nice neighborhood too!

The house is nice overall with a great layout. Perfect spot for whale watching or just checking out shops and restaurants.

This was a beautiful and clean place to stay for the weekend! Super close to downtown depoe bay and only a minute or two drive to the beach. We loved the hot tub and ping pong table during our rainy stay. They had everything we needed! We especially appreciated the to go menus as well. Just an FYI, the upstairs suite does not have a door closing it off from the stairs but it is still pretty private. But something to keep in mind if you plan to have littles sleeping with you!

This house was wonderful for my boyfriends birthday! We did think the house wasn't a duplex but totally could have been me miss reading things. The hot tub was amazing and we enjoyed the view! Definitely would stay again!

Beautiful view!

We loved the home. Lots of privacy with the separated bedroom areas. Great ocean view. The place was spotless. We were there during the week in January, so many shops and restaurants are closed on Monday and Tuesday. We were in Depoe Bay to go Whale Watching and the exceptional sunny weather did not disappoint. We drove into Newport several times (12 miles) and there are lots of beautiful waysides along the way to explore. We especially enjoyed Nye Beach in north Newport. There are very few places that allow pets and we appreciated the hosts allowing us to bring our well-mannered senior cat. It was a relaxing, comfortable stay. We didn’t even to go out for dinner and elected to get take out, and come home to our comfy retreat.

Beautiful home with a great view!

Check-in process was very easy with great communication. Home was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. View of ocean from main floor and master bedroom was amazing. Bed was very comfortable. The only thing I would change would be a better ability for privacy where hot tub is, as it was right next to a neighboring window and wind was blowing curtains. Still an all around wonderful place, with fantastic hosts & would highly recommend. 10/10

We had a great stay in Depoe Bay. The views were absolutely incredible and made the trip feel special even with how much it rained the first day and a half. The place was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The upstairs bed was especially comfortable, and the couch was perfect for relaxing. The hot tub was a nice bonus, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches — the extra disposable items were a great idea (we only ended up needing the ear plugs, but it was nice having everything available). Having garage access was also really convenient. Overall, it was a well-equipped, comfortable place with amazing views. We’d definitely stay again.

We have stayed here before with other friends and it’s one of our favorite spots for a quick getaway from the city. Who ever gets the upstairs room has to share the love. It’s the most spectacular view in the whole house!

This place was even better than the photos! There is not one thing I would change about it! We had a wonderful stay, and a place that felt just like home made it a million times better! Depoe Bay has always been a favorite, but this gem just sealed the deal! We will be back!

Nice place

This is such a modern, spacious property. The large kitchen, which has a gas range and is completely stocked with the necessities, was a perfect setting for our Thanksgiving vacation. The property is impeccably clean and the decor is just beautiful. The ocean views from the living room and bedroom were soothing. Our family enjoyed the hot tub and ping pong table very much. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were spacious! I just feel like all the extra little details made us feel like we were in our own private resort. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us. I'd love to come back in the summer.

Beautiful, clean property with lots of thoughtful touches (hand lotion, sand toys, even bandaids!). Hot tub was lovely, walkable to lots of shops and restaurants. Very pet friendly - they even included furniture covers so that pets could sit on the furniture.

Am ideal house for those wanting a comfortable stay in Depoe Bay. The home is well-equipped and has additional, thoughtful, touches including things like razors, toothbrushes and other toiletries.The kitchen has most bases covered and the quality and comfort of beds and furnishings is better than similar comparably priced properties.The house is semi-detached and adjacent to another home which appears to be managed by the same team. It overlooks a Travelodge and we did experience some noise coming from their parking lot but that was a minor inconvenience.Highly recommended.

Amazing location perfect for fishing trip

This place is top-notch! Cozy and the best amenities. They went the extra mile to ensure a usable kitchen. Everything went smoothly. Love Depoe Bay- we even spotted some whales!

Good location nice ocean view other then the travel lodge motel in back of the house were the ocean view is. House was clean and easy to get to. One of the blinds in the master bedroom was broke so you didn't get all of the ocean view. And the hot tub curtains could be better if the wind blows they wont stay closed they want you to fasten down the cover on the hot tub but the latches were broke on the cover and the cables had no latches to fasten to the hooks. All and all i would stay their again.

Well interiors, comfortable and thoughtful eg. Most hosts will say pets are not allowed on furniture but they provided covers we could use. Made it easy on us. Lovely views especially from the Master. Close to restaurants walkable to Tidal Rave and a few other restaurants. We saw whales spouting on a walk close to the place. Will recommend

This home was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed, and more. It was comfortable in every way, with thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. The view of the bay was stunning and falling asleep to the sound of the waves were pure peace. The hot tub was such a treat, especially with the ocean air all around us.

Such a great place to stay in Depoe Bay! The location was very close to shops and restaurants, it was nice to be able to walk instead of worrying about parking. The coastal decor was so pretty, and the layout of the townhouse was perfect for our group. The views were great and we even saw a whale spouting looking out from the upper bedroom window!

This is a beautiful property. We had a wonderful four nights, and this was a perfect location to visit Depoe Bay, Lincoln City and Newport.

The perfect location for what my sister wanted for her bachelorette. Squeaky clean and plenty of room for 6 of us, walkable to Tidal Raves and many of Depoe Bay’s amazing shops. The town itself is a little gem. So grateful to have stayed at the Moby House!

Beautiful scenery, comfortable home. This was a perfect stay for my family over spring break. Located right in town, so easy to go for short walks to the pub or the beach. Kids loved the hot tub. Furnished with all the kitchen stuff for cooking and a great Wi-Fi connection for working or streaming. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place in a great location with fantastic views from the third floor bedroom. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was pretty well stocked. We had a slight/minor issue upon arrival but the hosts were quick to respond and remedy everything, which I appreciated. I neglected to notice it was a pet friendly home, so my allergies were off the charts the entire time- which is my fault but FYI to fellow travelers!

The house met all our expectations and we were very comfortable. Although we were too early for whale watching, the views from the house to the bay were spectacular. I would recommend this house to a family of three or more.

We really appreciated the proactive communication and easy to follow instructions. The view from the house was awesome and we even saw some whales! everything was so clean and we appreciated the thoughtful things that were there to help make our stay easy and fun, from binoculars to olive oil for cooking. We stayed at this house two years ago when my son was 3 months old and loved it, so happy to take our son back at 2 years old and find it just as comfortable and family friendly.

My girlfriend and I went to Depoe Bay for the weekend to celebrate her birthday. We were both very surprised with how roomy and comfortable the house was! We had an amazing view of the ocean and very much enjoed the fireplace and hot tub! We loved the location of the house. We will definitely be staying there again! Great couple of days stay with my daughters. Bill and Peggy’s house is immaculate and having some small toiletries (soap, toothbrushes, razor) was a really nice touch for people who may have forgotten any items! Easy walk to a couple of restaurants and coffee shops. Highly recommend

Everything was perfect. One of the cleanest Airbnb I have ever stayed in.

We had planned a trip to the mountains but the fire fighting activity pushed us back home. We checked availability in DB and lucked out on this place. It's a very nice property. Well furnished and equipped. Great location. Great views. No complaints. Couple of suggestions... I like to read on these trips. This place could stand to have a better reading chair and light. The master suite has such a great view. It also has plenty of space where a seating area could be set up, so you could lounge somewhere other than the bed. The hot tub is great, but it could use more screening. The curtains are a nice idea, but ineffective and difficult to manage. Wood screening could be built into the railing that would help, and plant materials could be grown in the adjacent ledge area. I think that lower deck could really be made into a wonderful, secluded haven if the views of and from the adjacent properties were limited. That could be accomplished without sacrificing any of the ocean view. Great stay though. Really enjoyed it.

Pacific View Lodging was perfect for what we wanted. We will definitely be returning with more family. It was very roomy and a great set up for people to have their own space. The only thing I saw that would have been a slight problem is that there is no yard for dogs. At the last minute we found a dog sitter before we came and I'm super glad we did not bring them. We had a great time at Moby House! The view was amazing, the location was great for exploring Depoe Bay, and our group of 4 plus our dog felt right at home.

We were so grateful to find a home available for only one night for our group of six and Dog. So nice to have an ocean view and hot tub. Walkable to great coffee and gift shops. Near lots of coastal destinations we enjoyed. Very comfortable and fit all of our needs. Wish we had had more time to use the ping-pong table.

Amazing house close to the ocean. House is comfy, well equipped and has a wonderful view from the top floor. Next time we’re back on the OR coast we’ll definitely book it!

We LOVED the place! So beautifully designed, comfortable and beautiful! The hosts thought of every detail. Great sea views, especially from the upper floor. We didn’t bring our dog this time but it was so clear the hosts love dogs and made every effort to create a great experience for both the pets and their owners!

This home was set up perfectly for our family of six. We spent the days seeing the sights along the coast, enjoying fresh seafood, shopping, and soaking in the hot tub at the end of the day. Highly recommend whale watching with Carrie-it was a success! Also spotted whales using the binoculars off the deck at the house. Beautiful place to visit!

This home is a great place for a family. It is 3 stories and has more than enough space for everyone to spread out. The views from the master bedroom are amazing! We also enjoyed coffee and a view on the main deck every morning. The kitchen is well stocked and made cooking meals at home easy. It's a short walk to the row of shops and restaurants. If you're looking for a great all in one kind of rental, this is it!!

Bill and Peggy were incredible hosts. Super thoughtful and kind. They were very communicative before and during our stay, replied to us quickly when we had questions, and provided us with everything we needed. The place was well kept, clean, had comfortable beds, and was fully stocked with toiletries, lots of bath and beach towels, and much more. The view was stunning, peaceful area, and very close to the main part of town with restaurants, coffee shops, souvenir shops, and the whale watching center. We would stay here again. 10/10 experience!

Enjoyed our weekend at the coast.

We had a great stay here and will definitely be back! We had a little trouble getting into the house but Peggy responded very quickly and sent someone out within 10 minutes to help with the code that wasn’t working. The ONLY complaint I have is that the hot tub was an additional fee to use. I didn’t see that anywhere on the listing that it was extra so I was a little disappointed and wish that would have been more clear on the listing before I booked.

Loved the Moby house! Waking up on the 3rd floor to views of the ocean was absolutely perfect. The kids enjoyed all the stairs, and ping pong table in the garage. The house was clean, it didn’t feel like “someone else’s house”, but more like a guest home that was there for us. Highly recommend and will return!

Our family of 4 adults and our large dog spent a long weekend at the Moby House. We arrived with high expectations, based on previous reviews, and weren’t dissapointed. The house was well equipped and we wanted for nothing. Of course the fact that the weather was exceptional for mid March didn’t hurt! We were able to enjoy the most amazing sunsets from the balcony and were lucky to spot several whales close enough to shore to see with the naked eye. An additional bonus was that we slept like babies, listening to the surf - and barely noticed traffic noise from the highway. We plan to return!

This was a beautiful townhouse with incredible views! Family friendly, the kids had a blast in the downstairs area and hot tub. Close to Lincoln city shopping and the Newport aquarium. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was pretty perfect, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and there were games and some work out equipment in a cabinet which was nice. The beds were comfortable and although we didn’t bring dogs this trip, nice to see that it’s a dog friendly property. We loved everything about the house and our stay, the hosts were very responsive and provided all check in information a few days before our arrival. The only things we didn’t love were the seating, blue plastic dining chairs were not very comfortable and the living room accent chairs felt more like outdoor chairs and not really comfy living room chairs. The other downside is the extra cost to use the hot tub, I understand there is added maintenance for a hot tub, but we felt it should have been included for the price we paid. All in all, would definitely stay here again!

Very comfortable, walkable location. I loved the detail of leaving a sheet to put over furniture to protect,along with the bathroom extras. Quick response from owners was appreciated and over all attention to possible needed things while on your stay was very nice.

The house was very nice. The main deck had a view of the water and the master bedroom upstairs was even better. The living room/kitchen area has a fireplace which adds to the cozy feel. Downstairs on the deck outside is the hottub which does cost extra - you have to call the management company for the fee and the unlock code for the lock on the tub. Was it worth the extra money... yes I think so although the view from there is of the parking lot of another hotel. There are privacy curtains around the tub . Overall a very nice place to stay.

This condo is so clean, modern, and spacious. It made our getaway to the coast that much more awesome. You can actually see whales from the balcony and windows! It is packed full of amenities you would expect from a hotel (toiletries, coffee, etc) but with the privacy of an entire condo!

Very nice place, good view although it’s a bit obstructed by the travel lodge hotel, not a deal breaker. Not a knock on the place, but the travel lodge leaves their bright led outside lights on all night, pretty difficult to see the nice ocean view with so much light pollution. The place is nice, the listed hot tub will cost an extra cleaning fee, not a big deal, I’d rather it just be rolled into the house fee, saves a bit of frustration and phone/email tag. We had a great time overall.

We adored our stay here, the place was perfect and the view was incredible. We paid extra for the hot tub and it was absolutely worth it. We had a smooth check in and communication was excellent during the duration of our stay. Will definitely return!

Very clean & comfortable! Exactly as described and photographed. Would stay again! There is a parking lot that the balcony looks out on but don’t let that be an issue. It’s very quiet. You can see the ocean and hear the waves and are in walking distance to so much! They were quick to respond and one step ahead anytime we had a question. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Of all the houses I've rented/stayed in, this was top 3 if not the best one. We went for a short girl's trip away (no kids) and wanted to relax, unwind and eat great food and this home was set up perfectly for just that. Each morning I woke up in the master and watched whales in the cove. The main level porch with large Adirondack chairs was so peaceful watching whales and drinking coffee. The only hesitation I had when booking was that it was pet friendly, not because I don't like dogs (I have them and love them), but have stayed in rentals that were trashed from having dogs and at the coast, often had that wet dog smell- this was as far away from that as possible because of the care they put into protecting the furniture/home and cleaning crew. It was immaculately clean and incredibly well stocked. There was nothing to be nitpicky about, it was that good. Can't wait to come back with my family!

One of the best properties we have stayed at to date. Beautiful home, great location, and well equipped. We absolutely loved “The Moby”. Perfect weather for us to get out and explore within a five hour range all the gorgeous Oregon landscapes, eateries and adventure spots. Hard to leave this beautiful place.

We had a three generation get away - kid from 5 to 13, adult kids and grandparents. It was a perfect location. Walking a block or two to shops and restaurants and whales almost every time we looked. The unit is clean and comfortable- well stocked kitchen, easy parking.

This property facilitated a wonderful experience of Depoe Bay and the area for this east coast family looking to see the Pacific Ocean for a few days. Great cleanliness, access and views of whales in the harbor from the porch.

Beautiful property, comfortable beds, well-appointed kitchen, living, room and bathrooms. Everything was super clean. It wasn't clear from the listing that all bedrooms were either up or down a lot of stairs. Not a problem when booked but a family member broke her patella, so luckily she was able to navigate - lots of stairs to all bedrooms. Combo on lock for hot tub was very hard to see. View was exceptional. Very comfortable overall. Loved the electric fireplace and use of garage

The house itself is awesome. Very comfortable and well equipped. it was perfect for 6 of us. We found the location a bit challenging in terms of finding easy fun walks to do with our dogs straight from the house. Beaches are close by but you have to drive to them.

Stay was wonderful would highly recommend and will stay again. My only complaint was pet hair every where and pet smell. If place is pet friendly please please have cleaning crew pay attention to smell and pet hair all over house.

This place was great! Described accurately, furnished nicely with plenty of room. It is located quite literally up the hill from “downtown” (think small souvenir shops and a few food places) Depoe Bay, and makes Lincoln City and Newport easily accessible. Ocean views off the deck with a grill, quite, and nice neighborhood. The kitchen had all the essentials to make a few meals. It’s always hard to find great locations that are pet friendly and this certainly exceeded our expectations!

Bill and Peggy’s place is excellently located. Depoe Bay is a great town with neat shops, tasty restaurants, and amazing views. It’s also an easy and quick drive over to either Lincoln City or Newport. The place was wonderful with comfy beds, very clean, and awesome hot tub. The view from the master suite upstairs is incredible and we even saw some whales! Thanks for the great Mothers Day weekend!

This townhome was perfect for our weekend getaway in Depot Bay. The views were amazing, and many things we wanted to do were within walking distance. The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive. I would highly recommend.

House was very nice. Although there was not a grill lighter as described in the instructions. There were not enough larger sized coffee cups, only two wine glasses, no steamer pot on hand. Otherwise, the kitchen was pretty well supplied.

This place is such a hidden gem! Spent our anniversary weekend here and it was such a lovely time. The hot tub is forsure a plus a long with the amazing views! walking distance to multiple cute little spots to eat an shop at. Also, close to many beautiful viewing points that are walking distance. And ridiculously close to the sea! I forsure plan on coming back here because of the overall experience being so wonderful! Bill and Peggy are amazingly helpful and reply fast! We loved the house from the moment we walked in. It was clean and welcoming. The view of the ocean was spectacular and the short walk to Depoe Bay was perfect for shopping and dining. Would stay again.

Everything was great. The house was beautiful, clean, and had easy parking. The location is perfect with easy access to Newport and Lincoln City, and walking distance to Depot Bay shops and restaurants. Don’t miss the Sea Hag for great food and drinks! The house comes with lots of amenities and supplies, and even had an outdoor crab pot where most Airbnb’s don’t allow cooking crab. Very comfortable bed in the master (I didn’t try the others). I would have given it 5 stars but the hot tub wasn’t very hot and we paid extra for that. I would definitely come back to this house.

This property exceeded any expectations! Beautiful home, high quality kitchen , all the best cookware, utensils etc. Didn't need for a thing. The unexpected extras, cellphone charging station with multiple phone capabilities.!! I appreciated the extra effort to have a clean sanitary hot tub. All the extras were such a treat!

Great weekend getaway!

Very nice view of the ocean from the master bedroom. the couch was very uncomfortable, they could use an upgrade. The tv in the living room wouldn't let you watch hulu -Netflix but with the downstairs tv, you could so that was a drag. The Hottub didn't seem to have a lot of power when it came from the jets, we were a little disappointed in that. I wouldn't pay for the hot tub during a visit if I had known this. This is a beautiful home with just a couple of bumps.

This is an amazing space! Beautiful views, clean, comfortable, and the hot tub + ping pong table were such a great way to spend time relaxing after a busy day exploring the coast! Also, the property is within very short walking distance of all the great shops in Depoe Bay and the Whale Watching Center.

We all enjoyed our relaxing visit to this well appointed, conveniently located seaside retreat. Excellent view of the wave action from the master suite.

Great place with great views and sounds of the ocean! A very cozy, clean and comfortable place. The home was well appointed with the interior decor reflecting the marine life in the mighty ocean. Lots of quaint restaurants and outdoor activities nearby (whale watching, hiking, aquariums, museums etc). Even just walking on US 101 is a ton of fun in this historic place with magnificent bridges and lighthouses. Easy to checkin and the host was very friendly and responsive.

Bill and Peggy were wonderful hosts. They were proactive in communication and when I got sick and had to cut our trip short were compassionate and reasonable in helping us figure out what to do. The house itself is fabulous. A great location just a short walk from the main drag but private enough to feel really peaceful. Beautiful views. A great main living area for families or small groups and a fun kitchen to cook in. Everything was well appointed, beautiful, and functional. We’re really looking forward to coming back again for a trip that doesn’t get interrupted!

We ended up having to cancel our stay due to weather but bill was so nice about the cancellation even tho it said no refunds we were blue to get all of our money back. I would definitely recommend a friend

This is the perfect stay on Depoe Bay!! Location is ideal (walking distance to a great restaurant, bars, and coffee shop); the house is gorgeous inside and beautifully decorated; a hot tub on one of the balconies; and beautiful ocean views!!!

Loved our stay in Depoe Bay, the home feels like new construction and was very clean and larger than anticipated. The kitchen is spacious and has everything we needed for my dad’s birthday dinner. It’s a short drive or walk to the downtown area as well. You can see the waves crashing from the balcony or from the living room area. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this place to others.

This place has it all! We loved the beautiful water view, comfortable beds and a nice fireplace. Everything was clean and fresh when we arrived.

The condo is beautiful and decorated beautifully!! The view is beautiful and the sound of the ocean at night soothing! Great communication and very clean! Enjoyed our meal at Tidal Waves Restaurant very much! Condo is larger than expected --- you won't be disappointed!! :)

The Moby House was wonderful. We watched whales from our bedroom and thoroughly enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable, the house was spotless, and the owners made everything easy and comfortable.

House was very nice and comfortable. Everything was well kept and clean. There were games and entertainment available. Short distance to restaurants and entertainment. Had a great time.

We had such a lovely stay visiting family in the Oregon coast.

This is a beautiful home that was perfect for our family trip! Nice views of the bay. Even with a big wind/rainstorm, the bedrooms were quiet. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essential tools for cooking. The owner was very communicative to make sure we had everything we needed.

My stay was fantastic! The view from the master bedroom was absolutely incredible, the entire house was extremely clean and the hot tub was the best. I couldn't reccomend the Moby House more. We're hoping to return when able.

The property was very clean, comfortable, well-stocked, nice amenities, and the owner was always available for a question. I would highly-recommend the property. The location has a very nice view from the main deck and master bedroom. I rated 4/5 for location only due to the hotel in front of the property can be very noisy at times but this was a minor factor. Lovely place to stay.

The view from the master bedroom is wonderful. We loved our stay! Clean, safe area, and the perfect little spot for a getaway. Communication with our Host was timely, clear, and always great. We loved the hot tub as well. Wouldn't hesitate staying here again.

Beautiful home, hospitality shines from every corner. Great location, walk to downtown shops, restaurants, and take Sunset Dr towards the ocean to climb on rocks and watch the sunset. Hosts have thought of everything, even the things you didn’t think you’d need! Master bedroom is a sanctuary with views of waves crashing in the bay. Hot tub, ping pong, grill, games, two decks, plenty of space. Perfect for our family gathering of 7.

The Moby House was just what we needed and more. It was well stocked with all the modern amenities. It was very clean, beautifully decorated, and right in the center of the darling town of Depoe Bay. I was a little worried about our noise when we rented it, seeing that it was a duplex. It felt like a non-issue once we were there. The hot tub and the ping pong table were bonuses for the teens and tweens we brought along.

The Moby House was perfect for our long-awaited girls weekend at the coast. Everything was immaculate and the house is brand new and thoughtfully outfitted with everything we needed. The beds are so comfortable and the view from the top-floor bedroom was incredible-we saw a bunch of whales. Depoe Bay is a small, quiet coast town and this house is walking distance to everything. We will definitely come back next time!
