This place was really neat, great clean hot tub, clean space with thoughtful amenities. Cozy and fun atmosphere, the arcade games were a bit tricky to make work but i had some fun playing old school sonic. The three stories of step stairs was rough on our old arthritic hips and dog. All together we had a really lovely time

The hosts were very responsive and easy to communicate with. The home was clean, comfortable, and well stocked—especially the kitchen, which had everything we needed, including coffee options (Keurig pods and ground coffee). The bathrooms were thoughtfully stocked with toiletries, which was appreciated. The garage is described as small, but our vehicles fit without issue, and there was plenty of parking in front of location. While the ocean view is somewhat obstructed, there are multiple viewpoints just a short and easy walk away. The home does sit close to the highway, so there is some road noise, but it wasn’t excessive and did not detract from our stay. All linens were clean and in good condition, and the beds were comfortable. Our group of seven adults stayed very comfortably and had a great experience overall.

Beautiful home, cozy for the stormy days, bring any seasonings you’re gonna use or if you need tinfoil and saran wrap Tons of space super comfortable beds. Kitchen was well stocked with tools. Beautiful watercolors all throughout the house. Super clean, plenty of towels. Loved the hot tub!

We stayed here for my son’s 6th birthday, and all my kids had a blast! The house was even more beautiful in person, the arcade room was so fun, the hot tub was the perfect escape. The ocean view was better than I expected. Love this property, 10/10 would recommend!!

We had a great stay in this cute house near beaches! Accomodated our group of 5 comfortably. This place is close to shops and hiking. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to be able to park our cars in the garage. Simple check out instructions made it so easy. I'd recommend staying here. Thank you!

It was a very nice place in a beautiful community

Location was great, within walking distance to our favorite place in Depoe Bay, Tidal Raves. We stayed the day after Christmas, it would have been nice to have had a Christmas tree or some holiday decorations. We did only stay for 1 night so very short due to check-in/out but was nice that 1 night was available. The home is very comfortable, bathrooms stocked with toiletries. Would stay again, longer time frame next time.

I thought the place was across the street G maps gave me that impression so not Bill and Peggies mistake. About Bill and Peggy, I believe this place is managed by a management company. It was good avoid the orange coffee shop.

This is a beautiful new home within walking distance of Main Street Depoe Bay, and has all the unique charms of a vacation spot taken care of. The hot tub is such a treat and our dogs were welcome and felt right at home too! The home was super clean with all the soaps and lotions stocked in all bathrooms, we loved our holiday stay!

Beautiful home in a gorgeous area

We had an amazing stay. Great place for a family get away. Bill and Peggy contacted us and were incredibly responsive when a water main broke in town to insure we knew what was going on and provide further instructions and updates. Overall it was a fantastic stay filled with fun memories. We would definitely book with them again.

My family, including my 2 dogs, loved staying here. My kids especially appreciate the tvs in each room and the game room. My dogs loved that they had sheets to lay out on any furniture they might lay on. A few things that are import to my family when staying, besides it being clean, is that they have blinds in the bedrooms, outlets next to the beds to plug in phones and sound machines, and a well working washing machine. This location had all of those things. I also loved that they had a garage we could park our truck in from the rain when loading and unloading our things. We loved relaxing in the hot tub. This place was everything we hoped for. Thank you for a great stay!

We had an amazing stay! The place was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. It’s just a short walk to the beach, which made it super convenient for morning walks and sunset views. The host was friendly, responsive, and made check-in and check-out really easy. The space had everything we needed — from a fully stocked kitchen to beach towels and chairs. Overall, a perfect getaway spot. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely beautiful home! Will definitely be back again!

We had such a wonderful time in Bill and Peggy’s home, we were very sad to leave! House was as described (entry level bathroom is a half bath, not full) and had all the necessary amenities. It was a walkable distance to town and right next to some great local coffee spots. It was our first time in Depoe Bay and Whale and Tale definitely made it worth it to come back!

Came with the family for vacation. it was spacious and perfect for our family of 6. loved being able to walk to shops and to see the ocean. Saw several whales right from the beach in Depoe and Boiler Bay. The kids and hubby didnt want to leave we enjoyed this place so much.

Super cute place. I loved the third floor. It includes a big bathtub, shower, walk in closet, king bed and a little work area. It was perfect for myself and my daughter's. They were on the second floor and we gathered together to cook and hang out on the first floor. If we had kids young enough to enjoy the arcade room what would have been a triple bonus.

This home was beautiful and comfortably furnished with everything we needed. The house is right on the 101 so there is traffic passing by, however it was quiet on the inside. When we had questions, Bill and Peggy got back to us right away with helpful answers. There were lots of thoughtful touches, from sheets to cover furniture for our dogs, to delicious, local coffee for us to use. We would absolutely stay there again and would recommend!

I am very picky as to where I stay. This place was full stocked with all basic necessities! Very clean and modern. I enjoyed it very much!

Such a big cute home. So much room for our family. Lots to choose from. The game room, hot tub and several bedrooms. The master suite was amazing. Great communication and easy access getting inside the home. Thank you for opening your home to us.

Very clean and well furnished. Only downside is the closeness to hwy. 101. House is modern and everything works as advertised.

Great stay!

This house was amazing. It was a great size to fit my family of five adults and two small children. I loved how there was plenty of towels and all the linens smelled so good. the hot tub was a highlight. The kitchen is perfect for cooking and had all all utensils and plans we needed. I loved that that they had an assortment of k-pods for the coffee machine. getting up to the third floor if you have knee problems or a little overweight, like myself, was the only difficult part. The stairs are steep. Other than that it was perfect. Close access to the beach, The little town, the local store and wonderful little secret lookout points right across the street. we even saw I had a full of whales swimming north right at sunset. It was beautiful. thank you for a great stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in Depot bay. the only thing that concerned me was the fence around the hot tub, the fence doesn't come all the way down and my dog climbed under it and thankfully ran up the hill and not towards the highway. The place is very nice and spacious.

For booking last minute this was a great place!! Had everything we needed! The hot tub was perfect spot. Only downsides were that the house is located on Hwy 101 so you hear all the cars passing on the highway also the grill needs very deep cleaning. When using the grill I was worried it would catch on fire due to all the debris on the bottom of the grill. Other than all that the place was perfect!

The home was very clean and well appointed. The master suite on the 3rd floor was very inviting and comfortable. Great location.

Bill and Peggy were friendly throughout the booking and check-in process. They allowed us a early check-in on short notice and provided great detail about check-in, the house, and how to maximize our stay! They are great hosts.

Highly recommend staying here. Very spacious unit with all the amenities needed to make yourself a home base for exploring the coast. The hot tub was wonderful and in perfect working order, especially given the cooler weather during our stay.

This house is in the perfect central location . Just a couple hours in either direction will get you to astoria or the dunes in florence for some atv fun. Its only 7 min to walk from the house right down the 101 to the many fun shops and resturants in Depoe Bay. As a group of 2 couples this house was more than adequate for us. We could have invited a few more and still had plenty of room. To save money for fun stuff we cooked mist of our meals at the house. This kitchen had everythingbwe could of needed. Except spices , lol , bring your own. The host has made sure everything you need is there including extra toothbrushes, shavers and shaving cream, special fluffy towels for the hot tub, which we all enjoyed many nights. The game room was fun for the guys . All in all we would stay here again anytime.

What a lovely home! It is right on 101 but that was not an issue. We had all we needed to cook and loved the walkable sunset each night. Will return for sure!

Better than the picture. Clear instructions and clean like brand new home. Great location, everything is within 30mins drive, couple good view points are near by. Private garage so easy to unload things, well maintained hot tub.

Wonderful place to stay! 🤩 Looked just like the photos, super clean, great location. Check-in/check-out instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The arcade is such a fun time and we loved the partial ocean view. Bill and Peggy’s space is also a short walk to the waterfront, good restaurants, and shopping area. Definitely recommend! 🌟

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The house was beautiful, the views were great, it was quiet, close to little quaint shops and restaurants. The hosts were incredibly responsive and so friendly! The hot tub was a dream and the kitchen was something I want in my own home. The beds were SO comfortable that I asked where they got them because I want one for myself. This place was amazing. This was a getaway for my teenage daughter and myself. 3 days at the beach and it was a perfect place to stay. VERY clean, beautiful decor, very well furnished. felt like I was home. Easy instructions and the beds were also very comfortable. will stay here again. thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at the Whale tale and arcade. The house was very nice and we loved that the hot tub was behind the fence. We couldnt find the remote for the tv to play the sega but we played other games and was just fine. We were able to visit places both north and south of Depoe bay daily as well as Depoe bay. We loved all of their little shops and dining. Also loved all the different beaches near by. It was a great place to stay!

Very clean and spacious. Hot tub was excellent and water was hot. Walked across the street and there was a beautiful outlook where we watched the seals play in the ocean. Located about 1/2 mile from the cute shops of Depoe Bay. TV's easy to navigate and located in each of the bedrooms and living room. Parking on site and use of garage. Had sand toys for the kids. Grocery store close and several choices of restaurants. They provided sheets for the dog to lay on. Beds were comfortable.

Loved it and the place had a good theme

We wanted to book it fir the whole weekend. However, the taxes and additional fees for one night cost more than the rental itself for one night. We probably will not be using booking sites if this is how it is now. Other than that, the house was very nice and clean. Other than a small "bed" that was set up in the master bedroom closet that looked like it was leftover from the last stay.

We loved staying here! It looks fabulous in the pictures but is so much better in person! Well decorated and has everything you will need! The kids loved the game room and even asked if we could just move in haha. If we are ever back to the area we will definitely book again! Thanks for giving us such a cozy place to stay!

This is a beautiful new home, recently built. Very clean and everything was in good working condition. There are three stories so those who have trouble with stairs should take note.

This place was great for our family of seven (including little kids and an infant)! Very comfortable, fun themed decor that went with our Oregon Coast Aquarium visit, and lots to do at the house. We loved the hot tub! The game room was fun and we appreciated board games too. There were also ocean themed picture books to read. The house is three stories which was a novelty to our kids. The hosts communicated very well, quickly, and were friendly. Lovely time overall!

It’s a beautiful spacious home and held us over perfectly for the night. Would definitely return if ever in the area. Very thankful for the opportunity to stay for the experience.

This was a great house in a convenient location to Depoe Bay, Lincoln City or Newport. The house was very clean and comfortably appointed for our 5 people. The living area could use one more comfy chair but otherwise, all was lovely for our needs! Hot tub was excellent!The teenager with us loved the game room too!

The kids are already asking if we can stay at this specific house again because it was so perfect for our family. There was enough space to spread out and chill but also to gather and play games. Ten stars put of five, would definitely recommend. You can walk from here to three viewpoints and a nature park and a dozen shops and restaurants.

Our hosts were very responsive to the only time we needed to reach out. Otherwise we were left alone to enjoy our stay. There are plenty of amenities to meet all our needs. With 6 adults, 2 children, and 1 dog - there was amble room in the house.

Clean; No issues. Could not find Wifii password. Beaitiful newer home. Construction going on behind home so woke up to ton of noise and loud music Sunday morning.

They thought of everything. We had everything we needed. It’s the cleanest Airbnb I’ve been to that allows dogs. Would gladly stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at the whale tale & arcade! The kids loved the arcade, it was a comfortable stay for the whole family. The ocean was visible from the house and there were nice areas to walk to nearby. The beach and other stores were accessible by a 15-20 minute drive. We would definitely love to stay again!

We had a fantastic stay! I'd suggest bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper. The road noise from the highway can be a little loud, but not terrible. The house and the views are beautiful, the owners are super responsive and I'd absolutely stay here again.

This large and beautifully decorated home, with a whale and mermaid theme, had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The location is great as there is lots to do in the area between Lincoln City, Depoe Bay, and Newport. Even though the weather wasn’t cooperating, there was plenty to do indoors too. Peggy was very kind and accommodating and allowed us to check in 45 minute early with no extra charge, which we really appreciated. Even though there wasn’t enough room for our family of 5 adult to watch TV in the living room, the master bedroom had more than enough space for us all to watch TV together. There were lots of extra little touches in this property that we were grateful for, such as the coffee maker with lots of pods, a supply of extra toothbrushes, shavers, and shaving foam in every bathroom, and the doggy towels and blankets provided 🐶👍 Overall, I wish we could have stayed long as the house was very comfortable; a home away from home 😊

Whale Tale and Arcade met every need my family had for our Coast vacation.

Loved being able to cross the street, walk along the ocean, look @ crashing waves and stop for drinks in the quaint downtown. Enjoyed proximity to Newport for lovely town, fat tire biking and beautiful Nye Beach. The men in our family played and would highly recommend Florence Golf Links. Old Town in Florence was definitely worth a several hour visit. Renting a dune buggy was one of the highlights of our trip; expensive, nerve wracking for any mother but an exciting way to spend time with grown (crazy) children. Glenenden Beach as well as the beach between Depoe Bay and Lincoln City were both excellent. We swam at 6 different beaches during our Oregon coast 8 day stay and your hot tub was an awesome follow up to a few of our chilly but refreshing dips!

This home is beautiful and has lots of room. We could spread out but also be together. It’s within walking distance of some incredible views and the downtown shopping. We’d definitely stay here again!

Great place with great views

Very comfortable space with lots of room. Our group was 4 women and 2 men. Everyone commented on how clean it was. The property was right on HWY 101 so you have to expect a little road noise but it quieted down during the night. Comfortable beds and nice linens. We would recommend it.

The house itself was awesome, as it was clean, spacious, cute decor, and comfy beds. However, it is located right on the main highway without much ocean view. The hot tub was nice, but sits right next to street. We still had a great stay!

We really enjoyed the house. It was very clean and beyond expectations. The little touches - extra toothbrushes, shavers, mini shampoos - were a great touch. There is a lot of road noise, seeing the house is on 101. We walked across the street and had a great view of the ocean and a nice walk on the rocks near the ocean. The communication with the hosts was really great. They emailed us several times to let us know how to check in, what was available and notable around us, and how to check out. It was a very child friendly house - arcade games, small plastic bowls and plasticware for the kids. I was really impressed with all the little conveniences.

We were very pleased with our stay! The home was perfect for our party and we spent most of our time there. We made some great memories. It was very clean and very comfortable. We all really enjoyed the arcade room which brought back childhood memories for us. We will be booking with Bill and Peggy again in the future.

Our 12 yo was blown away by the cool arcade room. Every room has a TV so there were no kids fighting over rooms. The house was clean and beautiful and stocked with everything you need to have a great stay. Also in a wonderful location close to shops and trails. We loved this place!!

This was a great place to stay. I've never been to Depoe Bay before, but had checked on several options for lodging for our vacation. After being there and looking around, I know I made the best choice!

Such care for their guests every need

This place is a gem! There was plenty of room to sprawl out between all three floors. We had so much fun introducing the retro arcade games to our children. The house is well furnished and stocked with all the necessities and extra bathroom essentials. The beds are all very comfortable. I loved the big soaking tubs and the kids loved that there were TVs in all the bedrooms.

This house is perfect for a small group, especially with kids! The kids absolutely loved the game room, it kept them entertained for hours on end! The whole house was super family friendly with kids cups and silverware, a pack and play, etc. We didn't bring our dogs but if we had, they provided towels to dry them off and linens to put down to protect the furniture. The amenities were great, all bathroom essentials for anything forgotten. The decor/theme is beautiful! The beds were very comfortable, and the location is fantastic for easy access to shops, food, coffee, beach. Definitely recommend!
