W4 - Blue - Whale Inn

Easy access right off the main road. Peggy was quick to respond and provided us with all we needed.

We have stayed at the Whale Inn before. It is conveniently located across the street from the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the extra amenities. We will definitely stay there again!

It’s the perfect place for a quick weekend getaway to the beach!

Everything was great as far as the stay goes. It was a good location right on the main street through town. Able to walk to nearby stores and restaurants if you want.

A great getaway at Depoe Bay! It was a perfect size for just two and a pup. The location was perfect and walkable to all of the shops along the town.

place is a perfect little get away. It's a bit noisy in the afternoon but is quiet by 6-7pm. Easy access to everything. There is a cute little picnic area and there is a post for dog clean up. Dog friendly. They provide specific sheets and towels for the dogs so it doesn't get dirty everywhere.

The room next to us had two dogs that were very loud and the walls are not sound proof at all. We also had a ton of ants all over the counter tops. Other than that it was a beautiful stay and check in was easy

The space was so cute and cozy. The bed was also quite comfortable and was on the medium-firm side but that's my definitely preference. Good location and plenty of restaurants around the area. My only concern was the mildew smell, but it makes sense with the smaller space and it was raining a lot that day. Overall, I would definitely book again.

We came to see the King Tides and this was an excellent place to stay! Exactly what we needed, very walkable area, super comfy bed, couldn't have asked for more. Hosts were very responsive and kind. Will definitely stay again!

Bill and Peggy’s place is conveniently located right on Highway 101. We were the only ones staying at the Inn so it was pretty quiet, although there is road noise if that is a concern at all. The unit is pretty small but was fine for our overnight stay. The bed was comfy as well. We contacted Bill and Peggy to let them know the WiFi was not working and they responded quickly that they would look into it.

We enjoyed our stay at Pacific View lodging in Depoe Bay. The room was clean and comfortable and cozier than a standard hotel room. We enjoyed the location right in town, with the scenic walks right out the door, and good restaurants close by. We would come back!

The place was clean, comfortable and within walking distance to restaurants and the sea wall. I have to admit, it was smaller than expected especially the bathroom. But, thank you for providing a fan. I would not have been able to sleep without it. I was initially concerned about the amount of road noise but, come evening, there was hardly any traffic. There was a slight odor of mildew in the bathroom but I imagine the close proximity to the ocean and moisture is an on-going issue in that area.

We loved this spot! Perfect for our one night in Depoe Bay. It is centrally located- a short walk to shops and restaurants. We walked to dinner at the restaurant right across the road- “Tidal Raves,” holy moly this place was amazing. The room was very cozy and loved having the kitchenette with coffee in the morning. We’d come back!

This place was perfect for a little get away! It was the perfect location, close to otter rock for surfing and right downtown to walk to shops and restaurants. We loved Gracie’s sea hag for dinner and music! We plan to come back very soon :)

This Airbnb is close to the road and can get busy, however it is walking distance to the town and shops! We only stayed 1 night and it was perfect

I had a wonderful time staying at this comfortable location on the coast. The room was incredibly clean and well laid out. I was especially impressed by the attention to detail and thoroughness in amenities. Also, it's right across the street from the best restaurant on the coast! This place is truly a great deal.

Overall this is a cute little place in a very good location. Within walking distance of the main seawall in Depoe. Very clean and comfortable. Small. Glad we decided against bringing our two dogs at the last minute. The price is right in with other locations that are similar.

My grandparents stayed for their 50th anniversary and loved it! Grandma kept saying how clean and neat it was and that it was the perfect size for them two! Peggy was beyond sweet and helpful for my mountain of questions and my grandparents said they would love to go back some day :)

Great location. Good amenities. Comfortable bed. Responsive hosts. Great recs. A good experience overall. However, the only reason I'm giving it a 4-star is because there was pet hair all over our comforter. Not sure if it was cat or dog hair, but I'm allergic to cats and wasn't too pleased with it. We didn't mention it to the host because we stayed one night, but we would have if we had stayed longer. Nonetheless, a good stay in a great location!

Our overnight stay at the Whale Inn was perfect. Our room was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated.

They were very helpful in getting us booked on short notice. When we arrived a friend was in town and were able to get a room that night for them all ready to go. Its right near a convienience store as well. Great experience!

This was an awesome place! We were able to do a contact-free check-in and felt like there was plenty to do and see in the area.

This cute Airbnb looks just like the photos. It is small but perfect for 1 person or a couple to stay in. My husband, myself, and our 70lb cattle dog/shepherd fit comfortably. The area is very dog friendly with 2 small parks right across the road. Coffee shops and restaurants are also walkable from this location. Hosts were very kind and quick to respond to questions through the Airbnb app. Checkin and checkout was a breeze with detailed email reminders.

This place was super great to stay at! It's right in between Lincoln City and Newport, so you aren't far from everything. There are pretty sightseeing locations just minutes down the street that are walkable. Overall, we had an amazing time here.

I loved my stay here! It was a charming room with a really cozy and lush bed. The location of the Airbnb was amazing. I was able to walk to the downtown area and see Depoe Bay. Also the pirate coffee shop across the street was nice and they have a delicious dirty chai. I would definitely recommend staying here!

I enjoyed the stay, you could tell they wanted to be as accommodating as possible for their occupants. I enjoyed the stay but wish we could’ve cooked dinner there, maybe adding a hot plate would be nice. I also would appreciate being able to at least check in a bit earlier… Overall for a cheaper one night stay it was perfect!

It was a nice cozy place for just two of us in the small beach town. Our winter visit was quiet and peaceful, less traffic noise compare to the summer time. Walkable to great water view seafood restaurant is a big plus!

Found their place on a hope that there would be something along the road. Very grateful their rental was not only available, but was at the perfect spot along the US 101. It was clean, relatively quiet (for being next to the highway), and was a great place after a long day of sightseeing & driving. Highly recommend.

We arrived late from driving up the US 101 and stayed here for one night. I was so happy with how easy it was to check in with no stress after a long drive. The room was also very comfortable and clean! Perfect area to walk to all the restaurants/shops and harbor. We would definitely stay here again for a much longer time in the future!

This was a cute and adequately stocked room. Everything appeared to be clean with the exception of at least one rug which smelled like dog urine. I am thankful they allow pets but washable rugs, or no rugs, would be a better option. The location is very close to downtown Depot Bay. It is about a .5 mile walk to the end of the strip, less than .25 from the start. That was nice. However you are staying adjacent to a gas station and right off busy 101. So if you want privacy and quiet this isn’t the place for you. That being said, the other guest were very respectful and quiet. If you are looking for a place to stay a night or two in Depot Bay, this location is suitable and conveniently located.

Super cute and cozy- better than a hotel room for sure. A tad noisy with Hwy 101 next to it, but not a dealbreaker.

Our room was as described, lovely. Clean with coastal furnishings. Efficiency kitchen was perfect for our brief stay in Depoe Bay. Unrelated to the accommodations there was some road traffic noise but expected with a cute “roadside inn”!

We loved the Whale Inn for our overnight stay in Depoe Bay! It was darling, clean as could be, and perfect for two. We appreciated the covered outdoor sitting area and being able to walk to all of our uptown destinations.

We had a great stay at the Whale Inn. The appartment is exactly as described, and was very clean. You can hear the neighbors through the walls, but that was somewhat to be expected. The decoration inside had a nice and personal touch, and was very fitting to the surrounding. Depoe Bay is a cute little town we really fell in love with. We had great and friendly communication with Bill and Peggy before our stay. However, be aware that you receive your Check-In instructions via mail, and not via AirBnB message. As this mail was in the spam folder, we were wondering how to get in shortly before our arrival. We got the idea to look in there, just before we were to contact Bill and Peggy. This is our fault, and I am sure Bill and Peggy would've helped us quickly if needed - but a quick AirBnB message one day ahead, verifying that the guests have received and seen the instructions could be a small improvement.

This was a beautiful place to stay, the room was so cozy and all the decor made you feel right at home. I was a bit disappointed to find that all the single use bathroom toiletries were already used. I also am allergic to dogs and found that all the bedding including spare blankets were thoroughly covered in dog hair. Despite these things I would still happily recommend this place to anybody looking for a place to stay for a lil beach vacation!

After spending several days a short distance up the coast for our daughter’s wedding, this was the first stop on our roadtrip south on the PCH. W4-Blue at Whale Inn was beautifully decorated, very clean, and comfortable. The location is wonderful for doing some whale watching, for checking out the area, and seeing the sites. If we are ever in the area again, will definitely try to stay @ Whale Inn again.

We had a great time in Depoe bay! The room looked even better in person than the photos, and was walking distance from pubs and restaurants. We had left a pair of pants behind, Bill and Peggy messaged us right away and even held them for us until we could drive back and pick them up. Peggy was extremely friendly on the phone and Bill was awesome for waiting for us to arrive. Great hosts. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Exactly what we were looking for. Right off 101 on our trip up the coast. Very cute, comfortable bed, easy to find. Responsive hosts and contactless check in.

I always enjoy staying in Depot Bay.

This was a perfect place to stay for what we needed. It was in a convenient location being right off the 101. We were not bothered by any traffic noise. It was very clean and had a nice kitchenette if we needed to make tea, coffee or microwave our food. There was a noticeable musty smell when we arrived in the unit, but didn't bother us since we are used to coastal living. We would stay again.

This was a great stay! Room was really well put together, comfortable bed, walkable distance from fun things! Pizza at tidal pool next door was great, would recommend pirate coffee as well. Traffic from the highway was a little noisy, but nothing that turning on the box fan provided with our stay didn’t fix.

Loved the convenience of keypad check-in. Our room was exactly as pictured...quaint, well appointed, fresh and spotlessly clean. Couldn't ask for a better location in Depoe and Tidal Raves Restaurant across the street serves a great dinner. Excellent room at a great price...absolutely zero complaints. Thanks Bill and Peggy!

Delightful little place. Everything was 100% great except for it’s right on Highway 101 so it’s a bit noisy with traffic going by. For light sleepers it might be a problem. I had no problem sleeping very soundly.

very cute, clean. would not work if you can't do steps. close to highway. the names of the hotel and room number are confusing and mismatched, so we drove around a while to be sure. on the emails it was called "Pacific Lodging" or something like that and the actual hotel was called the Whale Inn or something like that. we were told it was the Blue Room, but nothing was labeled like that. it was listed as w4 in the email, and room 4 on the door. plus there was an old keybox next to the door and a keypad on the door, and I spent a while struggling with the keybox before I noticed the keypad. a little annoying in the pouring rain :/ but the room was clean and pleasant, no complaints once we found it and got inside

The unit was clean, well-equipped and very comfortable. The coffee was good too! I would absolutely stay there again and highly recommend it. The only thing that was less than perfect wasn't Bill and Peggy's fault at all: chatty neighbors' conversation until 11 pm carried through the wall and kept me awake. But I'm very sensitive to that kind of "noise" and apart from that noise wasnt an issue at all.

Our second stay at this Inn, different unit. The cottage is small but has all the amenities needed. Location is great, downtown depoe bay is a short walk away. They are very dog friendly which was the selling point for us. Our hosts were very proactive with giving us instructions for check in and out.

We volunteered at the Newport Seafood and Festival on Saturday. We had our dog with us and we all 3 enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing evening! Great morning coffee! So clean! Wonderful stay! Thank you!

We loved our overnight stay at Whales Inn. The room was clean and welcoming, the bed was comfortable and I appreciated the little extras. Touches like toothbrushes and razors in case we forgot ours, scented soaps and lotion, information about the area. The location is great for proximity to the shops and whale watching station. There is some traffic noise during the day and the tv is a little smaller than most these days but we got to watch our bowl game that night on espn and there were plenty of other channels to choose from. Considering that we didn’t come here to watch sports or stay inside during the day, this spot was ideal. I will definitely stay again and recommend. The hosts are quick to respond and very helpful. Love it

Pacific View is an old-fashioned motel refurbished with up to date amenities. Very clean, great bed. We enjoyed relaxing there in Depoe Bay

As I booked the last minute I was surprised with the price for the Christmas Weekend. The suite was very comfortable and clean. The bed was amazingly easy to fall asleep in, so for me that was an added plus. My only drawback was the bright, airy, coastal, theme and vibe which drew me to actually select this particular AirBnB for my spur of the moment last minute getaway ( my first alone Christmas holiday at the coast which my hubby and I loved since he passed - so I could basically just go and visit spots and have goodbye memories) was a bit disappointing. The actually vibe was much more grey and drab and less coastal. The host did offer me a discount . But I just wanted to be at the coast for my moments, not for a discount or any other reason. It was nice overall just the vibe wasn’t equal to the actual pictures. But for the price it was worth the three nights I stayed there. And the rooms are comfortable.

This is a converted motel, but very conveniently located right on Highway 101. It was newly renovated, very clean, freshly painted, and it has everything you need for a short stay. Nice bonus is that you can just walk across the street to see the Pacific.

The place was very clean. We liked the theme of the place. All the decor was well organized. It was small but adequate space for two people. Also the instructions are very clear as to how to enter and exit. Lot of shops close by for all meals. Overall we liked the place very much and plan to stay again.

Loved this cute place! Loved that it was dog friendly. The only negative I found was it felt like there was smokers in it, had a cigarette smell lingering that was attempted to be covered up by air freshener.

I love this place, stay in the same room every time! Beautiful quiet, you can see the ocean from the sidewalk. They also have a cute little outside area with lights, I love it!

The highway noise is expected. What we didn’t expect us for it to not be very private and to be able to hear the guests next door stay up until 1am and then to hear them snore all night.

The place was as expected and Bill and Peggy were responsive and friendly. It is located in a convenient location that is in walking distance to shops in the area.

The Whale Inn is a charming, conveniently located, beautifully decorated refurbished place with the best beds on the Oregon coast! When I asked for additional coffee, Peggy personally delivered it to our room. Such great personal customer service! Their communications were detailed and prompt. In addition, the room had two comfy chairs in which to sit and relax, read, watch tv etc. The bathroom had little extras. The only potential downside is it is right on Highway 101 but once ensconced in your room you really don't hear the traffic. It's as good if not better than the pictures show. We plan to return and visit again only longer next time.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! This room was perfect for our stay. We didn’t use the room much as we were out sight seeing but it had everything we needed. Minimal road noise compared to previous reviews. Worth the day and might be back again!!

There is traffic noise which isn’t a surprise as it is located next to highway 101. The kitchenette is well stocked with silverware and dishes. It was a delight to find a hot water pot for tea.

I loved the place, very cute and cozy, worth the money spent. I love that it is pet friendly. everything was extremely clean and well put together. My only complaint is that the walls were so thin and we were next to people who were arguing all night. they were still arguing by the time I was able to fall asleep at 12 midnight. Not much the host can do about that, so I understand. All in all it's a wonderful place to stay and will hopefully visit again!

What a little gem of a place! it was very cute inside. My pet allergies went a little crazy but I knew it was an animal friendly place. I took a nice walk to downtown and back to the hotel and was confronted by some man out front begging for $$. A reminder to be careful of your surroundings no matter where you are!

Cute little room- came with coffee, tea, popcorn. Walls are a little thin, and you can hear the cars drive by on the road, but nothing super noisy. Bed was a little to soft for us- but it worked! Cute little bathroom. Shower water was hard to figure out- either super super hot, or cold. Host was very responsive- asked for a couple more bed pillows, and provided them right away. Would stay here again.

I booked for another get away here so that pretty much says it all. For guests with pets, for peace of mind keep them on a leash because the parking lot is shared and the property is right on the 101 which can get busy.

I loved this spot! It was close to the ocean and beautiful. My only issue was the bed was highly uncomfortable, the mattress topper was too big for the bed and it made a weird incline down that was terrible to sleep on. If this was fixed though, I’d easily stay here again. Might have been a fluke.

This made my 51st birthday!! Across the way, there was a small grassy area that had a bench, to sit and watch the sunset. OMG it was beautiful. We did see where there may have been paths to go down to the beach area. We couldn't tell if it was a full trail or it just dropped off. Further down, as your coming back towards the Inn, there was another path with a rope tied to a big tree. This one looked better traveled, but we still couldn't tell if coming back up was going to be like that rope climb in gym class, LOL. I feel young, but my knees remind me otherwise, LOL. If anyone tries getting down there from either path, please share! Would love to know if these are easy, hard, safe paths to get up and down. Thanks!!

The pics are very accurate. The efficiency had everything we needed for our through trip north. We even had breakfast right in the room since there was a Keurig machine, a microwave and a toaster. 100% recommend this place. The rooms are very cute and cozy. There were a bunch of little touches I appreciated. The face and body soap is very moisturizing. There is a plug unit on top of a table so you don’t have to go searching behind the bed and it has USB ports too. There are instructions for everything just in case, and they have extra band aids, razor and toothbrush in case people forget. There is even a microfiber towel for removing makeup in the bathroom. I actually liked that it is right off the road because it’s easy to find after a long day of driving. There are double paned windows and cellular shades that minimize the sound. I slept like a baby.

This was a nice cottage across the street from the ocean view. It was quick and easy to enter and leave. I would recommend staying here.

We had a quick overnight here and found the accommodations extremely clean and comfortable. The location wasn’t exactly as I had pictured. It is on a busy road but once that was navigated we could walk to a great coastal path and also could have walked a mile or so down to restaurants and viewing area if the weather had cooperated. They also made bringing our big dog along stress free.

We had a lovely stay at Bill's suite. They sent many emails with helpful information prior to our stay and during. The bed was comfortable and suite was well decorated and clean.

This was a nice little place to stay for the night while we were visiting Lincoln city and Newport. We’d definitely consider staying here again next time we’re visiting the coast.

The check in is effortless. The rooms are very clean and access is easy. I don’t think there is anything that this place doesn’t make easy.

We arrived in driving rain and luckily the automated check-in was quick and easy. Great location just a few minutes walk to coffee and restaurants! Comfortable bed, and the kitchenette is a nice addition if you need it! Road noise is negligible, though it might be busier and louder during warmer months.

This was a perfect find in Depoe Bay. Large and clean space, great commuication from the host. 10/10.

This was my second stay in a different room. Lovely rooms amply supplied. The hosts are responsive and helpful. Be aware that it can take quite a while for the water to get hit in the bathrooms and takes a little longer than expected to heat the room up, but other than that I really enjoyed my stays and would definitely stay again!

My fiancé and I had a great time it was beautifully decorated. The bed was super comfortable and soft it was hard to leave. Definitely will stay again.

I absolutely loved this airbnb. Honestly one of my favorites. It was so cute and cozy and well decorated. It had everything we needed and very clean and neat. It was the best value too. Cheaper than other airbnbs that weren’t half of what this was. Took a nice walk around the area and ate at Gracie’s SeaHag which was really good. Highly recommend it here.

What a great place! My room was extremely clean, had everything I needed and was located within a stones throw of the ocean and restaurants. It was quiet and the bed was so comfortable! I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting or just passing through DePoe Bay.

This place is VERY comfortable and clean. Cozy and is nice to come to after a day of exploring. I only gave it 4 stars because the locations is right off the 101. Although it’s super easy to find and convenient you can hear the traffic go by at night and it woke me up here and there. The bed are also not the most comfortable. This place was sparkling clean!

Great place to stay! Easy check in and check out process. Very clean! Close to the beach and within walking distance from shops and restaurants. If you like Thai food, we recommend Bay View Thai Kitchen which is just a 10 minute walk from the airbnb. Would definitely stay here again :)

Perfect location to have access to little communities and not too far away from larger places like Newport and Lincoln City. The place was super clean and cozy! Amazing! Exactly as pictured, small cozy unit to yourself, everything within walking distance, great accommodations, and great communication. Wild blackberries growing along the property line, helped myself and felt like a kid again. The provided toiletries were a godsend when we realized one of us forgot to pack our toiletries🤦🏻‍♀️. Perfect spot for a little getaway with a pup. I recommend and would stay here again!

We were driving from Seattle to SF and had trouble finding cat friendly places along the drive. Bill's place was very welcoming to us and our pets and offered us a nice place to rest on a long drive! We also didn't experience too much noise from the nearby road which was nice. Make sure you pop down the road to Depoe Bay, we really enjoyed grabbing morning coffee and seeing whales just minutes down the road!

The studio we stayed in was extremely clean and comfortable, and in a great location. We were able to walk to the downtown shops and to the paths along the cliffs. Check in was easy and communication was professional and informative. I would stay here again.

We had a great time staying at this sweet little Airbnb. It was a perfect space for two adults and our dog. It was nice and clean, homey, and a good location close to town. My only complaint is that the inn is fairly close to the highway so at times it was noisy, but still quiet enough to sleep through the night.

This was a great and affordable place to stay! Clean and well maintained. Loved the kitchenette for late night snacks and reheating leftovers. It is a bit noisy, but that just my fault for forgetting how loud the trucks on the 101 can be. Would still stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great place close right across the street from the water. There is no tub in the bathroom even though there is one in the pictures. Bill used to be super easy to communicate with but that has fallen a bit. Still a great place. A bit small but a great Airbnb.

Very cute little roadside motel with a boutiquey, beachy aesthetic. The location is very close to the water despite the lack of view, I'm pretty sure if it wasn't directly next to the highway you'd hear the water. Really liked some of the little touches. They have a Keurig coffee maker and leave you microwave popcorn. There was a new disposable razor and new toothbrushes in the room (which was handy since we forgot ours!), and pretty nice little toiletries. Two things we had a problem with: first, the shower was pretty weird to work with. Since there's no plastic shower curtain the bathroom floods really easily. I felt bad using so many towels for the floor, but it was necessary to keep the water from getting into the main part of the room. Secondly, pretty uncomfortable bed. The bed frame was cute, I was sad that the bed itself didn't live up to how it looked. Overall, definitely worth the money we paid for it. I'll definitely return when I want a budget option in the area- Depoe Bay is adorable. Go to Gracie's Sea Hag.

The room is small, but not too small for a couple alone or with a small child. We felt it was plenty big enough for the night. The location is great and even though I was nervous about being so close to 101 the traffic wasn't loud at all. The bed could use an upgrade, it's pretty stiff. Over all great time.

Bills place is exactly as described, perfect overnight stay, clean, convenient and parking with coffee right across the street. We REALLY enjoyed our short bit awesome stay!

The room was small but lovely, felt clean & modern, and was set up thoughtfully- just right for a simple stay. The updated keypad lock was secure and convenient. The pet fee was very reasonable- $22 for the whole stay. For $90 a night, we were very happy visitors. With two adults and two large dogs the room was cramped but worked for a couple nights. The kitchenette was minimal but we had what we needed: a small fridge, microwave, silverware, dishes, toaster and kuerig. The sink is tiny- a bar sink the size of a side plate; fine for hand washing but don’t plan on thoroughly washing large items. The pet relief area was a nice size and kept clean.

The room was very comfortable and quiet. It was a cold day when we arrived and the heater worked quickly. No issues with parking or using the code to get in. It does look a bit more spacious in the photos online, but it was perfect for two people.

We enjoyed our stay-it's a great place for exploring up and down the Oregon coast. Being a studio, there is limited hang-out space; this was perfect for us as we planned on being out adventuring for most of the day. Everything was clean and the bed is comfortable. There are also several thoughtful touches that were appreciated, such as makeup towel or coffee/snacks. Enjoyed the food and activity recommendations.

This was a very cute, nautically themed room exactly as described. It was perfect for myself and my 7 yr old daughter. There was coffee for the Keurig and a bag of popcorn in the kitchenette. The bed was very cozy and the room very clean. The bathroom is extremely small but it wasn’t a big deal to us at all. It’s right across the street from the ocean and within walking distance to everything. There is a convenience store/gas station about a block away which came in handy for late night snacks. Loved it and pretty good for the price!

Adorable room and squeaky clean. Quality bath products from aromatherapy and bath & body works. Pirate coffee across the street was great. Tidal raves for dinner had fantastic food and views. Can't go wrong staying here. I'll be back for sure!

Do yourself a favor and just book it! Bills place is quaint, clean and they really make sure you have what you need whether a one night stay or a week. Close to ocean and very comfortable inn versus a stuffy motel. I will definitely stay here again when I’m in Oregon.

We stayed here at the end of our two week Oregon Coast trip. The place was very clean and tidy, the staff was available, helpful and easy to contact. We arrived right at the peak of fire evacuation around Lincoln city. Even though the town was dead and the smoke was thick. This was still our favorite spot to view the ocean!

Great amenities and located next to great restaurants, a beach, and close to whale watching. Cozy place to get away for a night if the city life is getting to you.

My Son and I came to Depoe Bay to go bottom fishing. So, just needed a room to get a good nights sleep, rather than drive from Portland at 4 in the morning. The reviews of this property are accurate. The room was recently remodeled, and looked clean and comfortable. It turned out to be true! The room had plenty of towels, a comfortable bed, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. Access and communication with the management team was great. only drawback is that it's right off the highway and next to the mini mart. So, not exactly a picturesque view. But the beach is right across the street!

Had a wonderful overnight stay just to get away from the city. I’m originally from Portland and wanted a quick, relaxing trip. Bill was not only quick to respond to any questions, but also had very detailed text/emails about our stay. Nothing was confusing, everything was extremely simple and to the point. Having a complicated stay is never fun especially when it’s so last minute, so that was my favorite part. Definitely will be going back again!

Whale Inn #4 for FANTASTIC. The location for the price was amazing - right across the street from the most beautiful ocean. Great location for shopping and eating in the small downtown and only a moments drive to the other small towns along the coast. The inside was a beach decor. Incredibly clean. Easy to get in and communication beforehand was super fast and easy. Absolutely no complaints!

Great location as it is merely a few blocks to the main strip and the whale watching spot. We saw 3 whales within less than 30 minutes! I grew up in Washington but never spent much time in Depoe, and this felt like a fairly central spot. There is a limited gas station just around the corner as well for any last minute needs. We also enjoyed the fan in the room as we like “white noise”. Slept really well! Rooms are cute and well-appointed with thoughtful extras.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the whale inn. Room was a bit small but very comfortable, it was completely clean when we arrived, there was some dog hair left behind from previous guests. All in all it was a pleasant stay!

The directions were simple to follow and get access to our room, which was in a wonderful location right next to all the fun stuff on the main stretch of shops, but also secluded enough to where noise was not a hinderance. Beds were comfy and we got a great night sleep

It is truly a beautiful room! The price is also awesome for the area as well. The hotel is centrally placed in between Lincoln City and Newport. I’ll be visiting again if they offer better quality sheets that are breathable.
