Great stay, close to the beech.

Had a great time at the Gray Whale Inn. The room was clean and neat, as was the bathroom. The inn is right next to the highway, which led to easy access to most everything but a bit noisy if you’re a light sleeper. We really enjoyed the Pirate Coffee Company coffee shop across the street, great coffee and tasty pastries. Can’t beat the views after a short walk to the viewing tower. Would definitely come back and stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at The Whale Inn over the New Year’s Eve weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We traveled with our dog and really appreciated the thoughtful touch of providing towels and sheets just for him. It made traveling with a pet so much easier. The room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed. We loved that the TV allowed us to connect our personal streaming services, and the extra bathroom amenities like toothbrushes and shaving cream were such a nice surprise. The location was perfect, just a short drive to the shops in Depoe Bay, and we especially loved being able to walk right across the street and stroll along the bluffs. Beautiful views, a great location, and a comfortable, well-appointed room. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend The Whale Inn to others.

We enjoyed our stay here, loved how close it was to shops and restaurants. Everything was within walking distance for us. It was also a plus to find earplugs provided as I had forgotten to bring some from home.

I was in need of some “time away from the noise”. I didn’t need anything extravagant and wasn’t looking to break the bank. This stay was perfect! It was the perfect size room for what I needed and was quiet enough it felt like I had a house to myself. It was clean and comfortable! I will absolutely be looking for availability here next time I head to the beach for a night.

The space was very clean and comfortable, pet friendly which is always a bonus even if we didn’t have our pet with us this time. The host was proactive and was very clear in their directions. Walkable distance to everything we were wanting to do. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The Whale Inn is a perfect stop right off the 101 in Depoe Bay. Shops and restaurants are very walkable, just a couple blocks down the street, and the ocean views are great. A great stop if you’re making your way up or down the coast!

I loved this lodge. Right off the of the main street and beautiful surroundings and ocean views, it's also conveniently close and walkable to many shops and restaurants. The room was cozy and very comfortable and had everything I needed. Wish I could have spend more nights here and explored the area longer. Highly recommend.

The bed was also quite comfortable and I really appreciated how well the space was decorated, felt very cozy. Got an amazing deal for lodging, considering it was summer time on the Oregon. I was satisfied with my stay and felt right at home. The room is in the heart Depoe Bay so it was nice and walkable. I look forward to booking this location in the future.

Everything is just like it was listed, clean room, in a really great location. We woke up everyday and had a beautiful stroll to watch the whales, it was easy to walk to the shops and dining. I really enjoyed staying here and will stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Whale Inn! It was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed — the perfect home base in Depoe Bay. The location is super convenient, with shops, restaurants, and even a gas station just steps away. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the two lounge chairs were so cozy we’re actually tempted to ask the hosts where they got them! We also appreciated the little extras: the Left Coast coffee in the morning was a great touch, and the welcome kit in the bathroom (complete with shaving cream and razor, toothbrushes, bandaids, and micellar water cloths) showed real attention to guest comfort. It’s clear the hosts put care into every detail. We would absolutely stay here again and are already looking forward to our next visit!

I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb’s, and this was one of the cleanest and the bed was very comfortable. Did not disappoint at all.

The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. It was slightly smaller than expected, but would’ve been perfect if we didn’t have the dog or his crate, we’ll definitely keep this in mind the next time that we are traveling without the dog!

Adorable little bungalow in Depoe Bay! Homey, clean, with updated rooms and lovely furniture and amenities. Bed was very comfortable and bedding was oh-so-cozy! Everything was clean and bright! The kitchenette was very well stocked with dishes and glasses, silverware, and coffee essentials. Everything you’d need for a home away from home. Location was great! Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants and just across the street from the ocean. Would definitely stay again!

I really enjoyed my stay at Bill and Peggy's, the room was cute, clean and just what I needed for a two night stay on the coast. Upon check in I was initially concerned as a solo female traveler because the room only has a knob lock and chain lock, no deadbolt. When I messaged the host they responded to my concerns quickly and kindly. I decided to stay and I am glad I did. I had no security concerns during my stay and would gladly stay again.

What a CUTE place! It was exactly as the pictures/descriptions described it and I loved it! Very cozy for an overnight stay, I felt right at home - especially as a solo traveler. The place was spotless and had some thoughtful amenities (animal covers for furniture - I did not need but thought it was a cool idea, makeup remover and a 'makeup' washcloth - loved this because no likes makeup on a white washcloth!) I feel like for the price you get quite a bit and it's such a nice room with lots of space too! It was within walking distance from sea wall/food/shopping and just across the street from the ocean. Matter of fact you can a sneak peak of the ocean looking across the street as you come/go from the property. The housekeeping staff was super kind as well - met them while I was leaving and super kind and helpful. I had a wonderful stay and look forward to coming back for another visit soon!

This booking is PHENOMENAL for a couple or individual traveler. The place is right off the highway, well maintained, clean, and inexpensive. Bill and Peggy are incredibly friendly and responsive. 10/10 would book again

The Whale Inn was a perfect place for a quick overnight stay on the coast. Comforting, after driving 2 hours in very rainy winter conditions. Peggy was right there to help, and very friendly, when I couldn't log into my Airbnb account to remind myself which unit I had booked.

First time staying in Depoe Bay. This was a great value, very clean, and allowed me to get a much needed weekend of vacation at the Oregon coast. Very happy with my stay and will likely stay again. This was only my second airbnb experience and it was very positive! Worth every dollar.

My husband and I along with our two pups booked the place last minute. We had a very late check in, and I am grateful we were able to extend check out time by an hour just in case we had a slow morning waking up. The place is easy to find and conveniently located, walkable to the stores on the main strip. The place was clean. Only downside would be since it’s so close to the road, you can hear cars which can be bothersome if you’re a light sleeper but it wasn’t that bad really. The place also did have a mild wet dog type smell but nothing overwhelming. We would probably stay again.

This little place provided us with one night’s stay as we needed. The walls are not very well insulated so if you’re a light sleeper you might want to consider that. Everything appeared to be clean.

This was a cute little place right by the main attraction area of Depoe Bay, very walkable, and exactly as pictured. The main downfalls were that it is right on the main street, which though convenient is a little loud, and the view from the windows is the gas station. The only thing that I really disliked is the smell, which was strong musky/mildew, which is common for seaside places, but it was real strong. My husband said the bed was really uncomfortable, but I didn’t have a problem with it at all. So if you like the pictures and don’t mind smells or being on the main strip, this is a great place :)

Great stay, lovely area ! Perfect distance to Newport and Lincoln City. Depoe Bay was so cute and the beaches in town were amazing. Would recommend whale watching if you don’t get sea sick. My only complaints were that there was a stale wet odor when we first arrived and there was an odd stain on one of the hand towels but other than that it was really nice :)

Pacific View was exactly as billed and pictured in the photos. Parking right outside the door is a big plus, location to the Depoe Bay strip is great. And there's a wonderful coffee shop across the street. This lodging doesn't come with extras like breakfast, but that's fair because the rates are reasonable. It's getting so expensive and difficult to find a room on the coast. This is exactly what there needs to be more of — affordable lodging so you have money left over to patronize restaurants, shops and fun things to do. Looking forward to staying at their sister property, Trollers, down the road.

Second time staying here. Love being so close to everything. It’s quiet at night, bed is cozy and sheets are super soft. Would recommend and will definitely stay again when our travels bring us back to West Coast

Great place. Had never stayed in Depoe Bay before and glad we did. Conveniently located near a great fish restaurant and coffee shop so that made our stay even that easier. Would stay there again. All communications were clear and check in was a breeze.

It was a quiet and nice place to stay within walking distance of shops. If you are an extremely light sleeper, this little nook is very close to the road and may not be suitable for you. Everything worked well and am very appreciative of the care this facility has!

I was traveling down the Oregon coast and stayed here for a night, and i wish i could have stayed longer. Whale Inn is walking distance from most restaurants in town and walking distance from a scenic viewpoint of the bay. Check in was very easy and the Inn had everything we needed for a night stay.

nice place in a great area. lots of restaurants around. lots of things to do. super easy check in and check out. looked like the pictures. we were traveling with our dog and loved that we were able to bring her here. I laid out the provided dog linen and towel on the bed before we brought her in and she took right to it. the room was perfect for what we needed.

Bill and Peggy‘s place was very cozy and was the absolute perfect location. It was extremely easy to find. They were extremely flexible and had the most amazing lotions and soaps. The only thing that I wasn’t crazy about was the lighting in the bathroom was really really low lighted, but other than that, it was so perfect, and honestly low lighting just means it gives you a reason as a girl to do your make up when you’re at the beach who needs make up anyways I would definitely stay at Bill and Peggy’s again

Great location,cute decoration ,comfortable bed, overall clean but the smell in there was not great! Kind of a cross between mildew and old cigarettes. Don’t know if the rug got wet and didn’t dry right or what but that was a big negative to an otherwise pleasant little place. If smell was fixed would absolutely stay again

Perfect rest stop on our way through the area and very close to Tidal Raves, our favorite restaurant in Depoe Bay. Nicely appointed with everything we needed. The only drawback was some road noise that can’t be avoided based on proximity but that does ease up at night. Overall a good value. Would definitely stay at this location again.

Worked wonderfully for what we needed. Booked the day of when we decided to bring our two dogs to the beach. I love a decently priced dog friendly stay! The place was exactly as pictured, very cute and clean.

This place was homey and wonderful. The room was perfect for two people and a little dog. It’s right across from a little coffee shop and the ocean. Wonderful location and the people running it were great as well. If you stay here please try the Horn Pub they were absolutely astonishing and delicious.

Great location on a beautiful stretch of the Oregon Coast—lots to do and see in this area. We did some surfing at Otter Rock, which was only 10 minutes down the road. Stopped for coffee at Arch Rock Caffe each morning we were there. The Side Door Cafe in Gleneden was also a treat. We enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Location was everything! Walking to the outlook up the hill for sunset was spectacular. What a killer find last minute. Not much to the motel room but it had all we needed and was clean as can be! Would stay here again and recommend to others passing through.

Great spot in a convenient location. The convenience does come at the cost of being right on the main road, which you can hear. But the place itself was great. It had some nice details, such as a pair of new toothbrushes and very nice bed sheets.

Stayed one night on our roadtrip towards Seattle. Easy check-in, comfortable bed, and good restaurants/cafe‘s close by. The road noise was very minimal and we had a good nights sleep. Parking directly in front of the lodge and very central along the coast. Would come again!

I pretty much stayed a night in Depoe so not much to say. The turning for the motel was quite tricky to do with not enough lighting, maybe a bright sign would help. However tidal raves on the other side of the road had the best food I've had all trip, what a treat!!

Perfect little spot in the bay! Not too big. No issues with parking. In fact, parking is conveniently close to rooms which is great for loading/unloading. Ate at a few local restaurants. All were great. Wing-Wa, Sea Hag, abd the Horn. Went whale watching with tradewinds @ $25 per person for and hour. We stayed for 3 nights/4 days. Only minor issue was lingering pet odor from previous vacationers. Shower pressure was great and consistent. Door locks were fantastic. Very easy check-in /check -out directions. Excellent communication and directions provided. Such a great stay. More than likely will be back.

Clean, a convenient stop while traveling 101. There’s places to eat and get coffee within walking distance as well as access to views of the ocean/sunset if you don’t mind crossing 101. The room is quaint, we had trouble finding space for ourselves and our medium dog but it was set up well and was the perfect stop for a night.

It's a cozy room. The bed wasn't to hard or soft. The decorations were great as well. We could hear cars go by at night but it wasn't bad considering how close to the road the building is. I recommend it and would gladly stay again.

We booked same day, it was super easy to book, check in aaaaand it was just as described!! Very clean, Peggy and Bill were super sweet!!! Walkable from all the little downtown shops and the Bay view to look for Whales!! THANKS GUYS!! You’re amazing!!

I would love to come back!!!!! It is such a cute place. Good size and clean. BUT, the best thing is the amount of thought the hosts put in the amenities. There were little things like popcorn we found, in the bathroom there were all the amenities from toothbrush to shaving cream, razors. The hosts are passionate about providing the best stay possible under the budget for the guests.

The place was clean and very easy check in which was handy as we got in quite late. The little kitchen was well stocked with plates and cutlery and the bathroom was very clean! A little noisy as you are right off the highway but traffic isn't crazy so it wasn't too bad. A good bang for your buck.

We loved our stay here! Bill is excellent in his communication and as a host. The room had everything any traveler could possibly need; extra toiletries, lotion, soap, razors, toothbrushes - everything a tired traveler forgets. the location is close to all the good dining in town and a short walk to a scenic beach overlook. I definitely would stay again!

We are O.C.T. THRU-HIKERS that stayed at The Grey Whale Inn this late summer. **This booking** is one of the 12 overnight stays we've had during our 167 mile Thru-Hike on the #OregonCoastTrail . After completing a Hike with packs I was looking to the Soak with the Epsoms Salt I brought. I chose this room specifically... for the price, amenities and location to walking everywhere- W2 in photos online- had a Bathtub pictured amongst the other pictures accurately portrayed. 😶🚫🛀NO TUB in W2. While the room was accurately pictured,clean well appointed and comfortable. I reached to Bill he curtly said W1 was the Only unit with a tub, it was booked. out of 12 bookings- this was the bait and switch. Only I have more ratings. All else was Fabulious! This was a great space for us to end our long nights at! We were in town for a wedding weekend and it was the perfect size for my partner and me. It’s near everything you need, too! They were also really kind through their messages but we didn’t even need to contact them once about anything because everything went smoothly.

We just stayed one night this trip, it was very convenient and comfortable, we went fishing at 5am , so didn't hangout very long but we will come again.

Nice place! Our room was very up to date with none of the musty feel that is sometimes found in buildings on the coast. Our bed was comfortable too. Beware, though, of the small step into the bathroom ... just enough to stub a toe if you're not paying attention.

It was a nice place to stay for our short evening. The bed is VERY comfortable and it was awesome that there was a box fan to use while we slept. Would definitely stay there again.

Quaint little room that had everything we needed for our quick coastal getaway! Especially appreciated the Keurig as we were traveling with an infant. Location makes it easy to find and is within 5 minutes walk of the bay (great whale watching) and little shops! Note this is right on Hwy 101 so it is noisy if you are a light sleeper. But otherwise would recommend!

Perfect low key space to stay. Everyone on the property was lovely to chat with. It is a close walk to many restaurants, shops, and amazing whale watching. It was a great space for my partner and I to have our little pup with us on the trip.

The Whale Inn is right on Highway 101 and only a short walk from a couple of really nice restaurants in Depoe Bay. Our apartment was very clean and functional, and the bed very comfortable. All in all, a great spot to stop for a night or two when you’re on a road trip!

The Whale Inn is a total delight. The owners have thought of everything that a traveller could want and have wrapped it up in a beautifully decorated little package. There’s a comfy bed, a kitchenette with coffee service, a microwave and mini fridge that is actually cold, luxury bath products and… my favourite, two recliner chairs. How did they know how wonderful it feels to lounge in a recliner after driving for 6 hours? It was such a treat! Check in was easy, the heater in the room worked well, the water was hot. And the location was great, allowing me to walk to dinner at an exceptional seaside restaurant and check out the charming town and whale watching.

Awesome little spot close to everything Depoe Bay has to offer. Only gripe I have is the photo’s make the living space larger than in person. Other than that, this is a great spot to stay a night or two with your S/O and enjoy the Oregon Coast. We chose Tidal raves to eat the last evening and it’s a short walk to and from the Airbnb. We will come back here next time we are in town.

Cute place. Despite being extremely close to the road it was very quiet and check in was a breeze. Only thing I didn’t like was that the curtains didn’t completely cover the windows and there are no blinds.

The space: This place was super cute. It looks like it used to be an old motel that they have turned into a boutique themed stay. The rooms are freshly redone with new finishes. The furniture was nice solid pieces and the bed was so comfortable with lots of pillows in varying degrees of firmness. They are dog friendly. The unit we stayed in was spacious and had a little kitchenette ( with sink, plates, cups, microwave, and a coffee maker, and some comfy chairs for seating. The bathroom was well equipped and they even provided lots of towels, hand towels and wash clothes as well as extra toiletries like makeup remover wipes, shaving cream, toothbrush, razor. All in all It was a super cute place, well cared for, clean, walking distance to the shops and you can’t beat the price! We will be back! Location/surrounding area: *** for any foodies there is a great Thai place (Bay View Thai Kitchen) that is just a half mile away. We took the opportunity to walk there (10 minute walk) and were able to see the shops on the way. The food was amazing and the so was the service! The shops were about a 5 minute walk. Lots of little shops, restaurants, and a few bars. There is a Chevron next door in case you need any last minute items as well. For the dogs they have a small dog area in front of the parking lot that is wood chipped which is nice in the rainy season to avoid muddy pups and dragging in mud. There is also a park (2 min walk) that is ocean front so you can enjoy the views while your pups do their business. Checkin/checkout: The property is self service for both check in and checkout. After booking you get a code emailed to you that you use on the electronic keypad. When you checkout you just type in 0000 and it notifies the staff that you have checked out and to come clean the room.

Lovely little place and a great location! Be sure to check out the hidden beach across the street. It's a bit of a scramble down the hill but there's a guide rope and it's completely worth the visit.

Solid Location. Great pizza at the bar down the road. Whale watching just 100 feet from the parking lot. Room was quite a bit warmer than outside temperature, but using the fan and a window open helped. Good place, small but effective!

Depot Bay was amazing in its natural splendor. The Whale Inn is right on the Bay making frequent visits to the boardwalk easy and convenient. The hosts were good in their communications. The studio room was perfect in every aspect - clean, well laid out, had all the amenities packed into it. Bed was comfy. Pet friendly was an added bonus

Superb location, the dedicated parking spot and the walking distance from the happening locations all made for a great trip. Definitely recommend having a meal at the tidal rave next door!

This room was perfect great for our action packed beach vacation. It is a great location for walking to shops and restaurants downtown and whale watching sites; it was clean and had well thought out amenities.

This is a great place for a single person. Otherwise, it is SMALL. And Very Cozy. However, a pretty good value since the prices on the coast at this time of year are more costly. The studio is cozy and quiet. I did notice the 101 highway noice, and used ear plugs to sleep. The windows in the unit were very well insulated and thus, the traffic noise was not bad. The unit was Clean and Neat and the bedding was very lovely and felt elegant.

Just like the small roadside motel rooms of yore, but updated with sweet decor and very clean/tidy. My unit (#2) was close enough to Hwy 101 that it suffered a bit from road noise. But nothing that kept me up at night, thankfully. Check-in/out was seamless, and there were some thoughtful touches like toiletries left in the bathroom and even a bag of microwave popcorn in the kitchen. It's a very small space, but suited my need perfectly. And Depoe Bay is a sweet town, so you won't likely want to spend a lot of time in the room anyway. Recommended, for sure.

it's a cozy little place. there is a bar, convenient store, a coffee shop all within eye view standing outside. Bill and some others kept in contact with us to make sure that we didnt have any issues or problems. I will be going back again. I recommend it.

Located right off hwy 101– but surprisingly— well insulated. The road noise didn’t bother us. Two comfortable lounging chairs next to bed. Not much room between bed and chairs. Other units may be larger. We were in #2. Nice kitchenette. Bathroom was great except for the toilet seat-which could be replaced or painted. It looked old. Enjoyed our 1- nite stay. Had one of the BEST Asian meals we have EVER had at the Asiactic restaurant not far away. Peggy/Bill-are great hosts!

They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The bathroom was beautifully clean and incredibly well stocked. The bed was super comfortable and the extra soft blanket underneath was HEAVEN. I loved how simple the outside was. It flowed perfectly with the ambiance of the city. Right across from a dispensary and a liquor store as well as a wonderful gas station, the patio was the perfect spot to relax, have a drink ( or smoke) and enjoy the evening or morning. Would be wonderful if there was ice but the kitchen area in our room really really made up for anything that lacked which was hardly anything at all. Thank you! We had a fantastic time and look forward to returning in the future 🖤🖤🖤

Old motel with room doors right off the parking lot. They've done a good job renovating the rooms and it was comfortable for a one night stay. The only issue is the walls are thin. You can hear the people on either side, I clouding barking dogs. However, the price point (about $110 total in the winter) is right for what you get. Good place to stay during COVID as there's no face to face check-in and no indoor shared spaces, unlike hotels.

My partner and I celebrated new year’s here with our dogs. We were very happy with our stay! We enjoyed the staff, the space and had a great experience. Everything is within walking distance, there are shops within walking distance, amazing view points and beach access near by. Plus the dispensary is across the street!! We will definitely return!

Firstly, this is the cutest little place. With the little whale sign all lit up. ☺️ It’s similar to hotel room with small kitchen, fridge, sink, plates and silverware, and microwave. Small room but perfect for one couple. Some noise heard from other rooms but nothing major. Great spot for traveling up and down surrounding areas. Coffee shop across the street. Gas station next door. And cute little shops a short walk away. If you’re brave, and we were, there is a small beach via a trail down with a rope hand hold across the street. Went down during low tide and explored some cool little caves. All in all satisfied and would definitely come back.

Due to the wildfires in north Lincoln County, OR we were evacuated. Our last night stay being in Depoe Bay at the Whale Inn. I know that is a lot of seemingly unrelated information for a review, but it leads to this - After we had made the reservation, received our confirmation, and had received a Welcome email, we received a call from the owner. Even though the reservation could not be cancelled by us, the owner offered to allow us to cancel, if we wanted. Depoe Bay is a tourist town but due to the fires, every restaurant in town was closed and nearly every business was closed. What integrity! The owner called us offering to cancel our reservation with no charge, giving up revenue, because the owner was concerned about our visit to Depoe Bay. Wow! The location, is a very short walk to all the spots you would go in Depoe Bay - the restaurants, the stores, a park across the street, and the ocean views. All the rooms are relatively newly updated, and are very nice and quaint. Stay here!

Beautiful spot in depot bay with whale viewing within walking distance! Very comfy chairs and nice space to unwind from our camping trip. Clean, super friendly and welcoming cleaning staff were there when we arrived and offered some suggestions and tips.

The location is awesome, just a short walk to local restaurants and parks with ocean views. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend staying here.

The Whale Inn is a beautiful facility with all the amenities you can imagine! From the Keurig setup, personal grooming tools, and a wonderfully comfortable bed our stay in Depoe Bay was incredible!

The Whale Inn was clean and cozy! My boyfriend and I enjoyed a quick getaway to this cute spot in Depoe Bay. Close to downtown, a quick drive to Newport, and right across the street from a nice viewpoint and tasty coffee shop. Bill was very communicative and friendly.

This cottage is a hidden gem. It was clean, well maintained, stocked with all the essentials, and the perfect location. Bill answered any questions we had in a timely manner. This place is private, quiet, and the perfect location.

This place is so cute! The outside is nicely painted and maintained. When you walk in, you can tell that someone scrubbed the entire place in between guests. The place looks and smells clean, and has the cutest beachy touches! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was great. This is a great spot to stay the weekend with your significant other! We also brought our dog who enjoyed it too. This place is conveniently located, with just a short drive to the beach or a five minute walk to a gorgeous viewpoint with picnic tables. It also has Tidal Raves just a few minutes away, which was the best meal we've had in so long! The hosts were also very responsive to any questions we had. I highly recommend staying here - great value!

Cozy space for a quick getaway! The inn is conveniently located within walking distance of everything. COVID tip: the two chairs and small table in the space made for a perfect spot to enjoy our takeout, and there is a small picnic area outside as well if the weather allows!

Location was really excellent for seeing the ocean and downtown. Just a note the units don’t have desks so if you need to work at all during your trip might be tough. Otherwise very nice and very friendly hosts. Thanks!

Perfect place to stay for your weekend beach trip!!

It was the perfect social distancing getaway! The check in was no contact and easy, Bill was extra communicative leading up to our stay and it was such a cozy room. We had a great night of sleep. We would definitely stay here again!

The Whale is an extremely well kept cozy room with good amenities, a good cable tv offering and good private Wifi. There are only 7 units all with outside entry. The Whale is a nice place to get away from crowded larger lodgings and beaches and enjoy a little seclusion. Walk across highway 101 and get a coffee at Pirate's Coffee, then walk over to the coast a couple blocks away and enjoy the waves crashing on the rocks. Or walk downtown Depoe Bay and check out the nooks and crannies. It's a different Oregon coast experience than what you get elsewhere.

The space is small but nicely located. Great whale watching and the self check in is great for social distancing. Noise from adjoining units was audible but not a huge issue. A good deal overall

Absolutely loved this place! Super easy to find, super cute and amazingly decorated. He was quick to respond when we had a noise complaint and the problem was quickly taken care of. A little spendy, but me and my boyfriend both agreed that it was a great first AirBnB experience!

Cute little apartment, has a motel vibe. If you’re wanting to be near the beach this spot probably isn’t the right one. Perfect for overnight fishing or whale watching!

Smaller and simpler than we expected, but the price can’t be beat. Within walking distance of everything in Depoe Bay, including a couple great places to eat.

Located within easy walking distance of all that Depoe Bay has to offer, this space is a bit on the small side but not unreasonably so, and feels comfortable and well-kept with all the amenities that might be needed. (And wow, the little wall heater does a pretty fantastic job of keeping the space warm and toasty!) Bill is responsive and hospitable, and we recommend his place to anyone who might be planning a trip to the Oregon Coast.

The Whale’s Inn is an Excellent value! The rooms are recently remodeled and clean. The bed was very comfortable! You can walk to anything in town from your unit. It is right on the highway though and a motel, so if you are sound sensitive I recommend ear plugs. Your room does not face the ocean, nor could I hear it if I opened the window; but it is a one minute walk across the road to find the most amazing little cove to sit and enjoy all the best of the Oregon Coast! For the price, I would highly recommend this place!

The Whale Inn is not only clean, accessible, and comfortable - the rooms are thoughtfully decorated and intentional. We loved that the hosts provided toiletries and lots of local info. Although the location is right off the 101 in a busy area, we thought the space was an excellent value and would recommend it for budget travelers and those looking for comfortable indoor space.

Cute, cozy, and quaint. This place was perfect for my evening away from home. Close to the restaurants and just across the street from a lovely coffee shop. The place was very clean and decorated appropriately. It is a bit close to the highway so there is road noise but it’s not extremely noticeable. I enjoyed my stay and will be returning in the future.

I accidentally made my reservation a day earlier than I meant to and they were all booked for the day that I was going to be in town but they were amazing and just moved my reservation to a different property they had in the same area. They were very helpful and nice. Definitely good hosts!

close to everything

An older unit that has been updated and cutely appointed. Bed was comfy, enjoyed the extra touches such as makeup remover wipes and a black towel for makeup, even a couple extra sealed toothbrushes in case you forgot yours. You can smell previous pets, but that’s easily fixable by airing the room out a bit. Getting the water to warm did take some time, but overall, a great little place right off the highway for a wonderful price.

Bill’s place is in the perfect location in Depoe Bay. It’s walking distance( less than 5 minutes) to restaurants and shops. The ocean is directly across the street and you can see the gray whale spouts. The room is very clean with basic amenities and your own parking space. Walk south under the bridge to view harbor seals.

The Whale Inn is located in a convenient location in Depoe Bay right on the main road. My sister and I had a great stay in the clean and comfortable apartment!

As advertised, this cozy unit was small but it served us well. The kitchenette was perfect for our family (who has food allergies). The keyless entry was very convenient, and the location was perfect. Communication between us and our host was timely and efficient.

Decent spot to bring your dog! Just watch your step of from the bathroom to the living room. Nice that it’s close to the cliff side view. Bill is very prompt at communicating.

This was a nice little studio with a cozy bed

We messaged the owner about checking in early and got very quick responses. We were able to get in early. The place is just a short walk away from lots of little shops and beautiful ocean views. It is a little loud being right on the highway but we were so tired after all our exploring it didn’t bother us much.

It was nice for a little getaway. The ocean was just a short walk across the highway. I would have preferred it being a little bit cleaner. The rugs were dirty and the sheets had a couple hairs. Other than that it was great.

We had an excellent 2 nights stay in Depot Bay. Bill’s property is adorable and the location for the price is unbeatable! It is along the main highway so there is noise - comforting for me, but maybe not everyone. We watched whales swim right across the street for hours! 20 min in either direction to explore Newport or Lincoln City too!

The pup and I had a great time walking around Depoe Bay and Tidal Raves was YUMMY. The bed was comfy and the water was hot. Enjoyed some popcorn while watching a movie, too! Thanks for an awesome stay!

Clean and affordable

Perfect place for a few nights on the coast. Centrally located between Lincoln City and Newport and super close to all the fun stuff in Depoe Bay. Very clean and cute, perfect for two people. I would stay here again.

Excellent location!

When I stay at a property, I only expect what has been described. The condo was explained perfectly...nothing more, nothing less, which again, for me is Wonderful. There were places to eat, get coffee, and fuel, and a post office a few steps away. We hope to return again.

Nice place to stay along the coast. Near the best restaurant I ate on the trip, Tidal Raves. The stay is also across Robba Gump and their smoke steelhead is magical.

We had a wonderful stay in this tiny house. It was fully equipped, with nice details, even dental kits and flowers! The bed was comfortable and in general it was very cosy. We asked for one more night and Bill helped us straight away! Totally recommend place to sleep if you are visiting Oregon coast.

This place was cute and cozy. Nothing fancy but comfortable. No air, like many places along the coast, but traveling by myself I did not feel comfortable leaving windows open so it got a little warm. I was in town on business and washed my hair but no hair dryers, so bring your own! Other than that it was an ok place to stay.

#2 was spectacular! The bed was comfortable and with their WiFi there is Netflix. Great getaway that feels like home.

This is a prime location in Depo Bay! It is right on the main drag, across the street from our favorite restaurant, Tidal Raves! The room was well decorated, but it could have used an additional chair or something to sit on besides the bed. I would stay here again!
