Great place close to everything and seamless check in. It was super clean and looked better than the listing! Overall would stay here again

My dog and I stayed in #7 after reading reviews. It is the furthest from the road but there is definitely still road noise. I brought a sound machine to help at night. The walls are pretty thin so you can hear your wall attached neighbors walking around and opening and closing drawers, etc. but I was hardly there to really notice. They offer a cover for the bedding for your pet and a towel just for them. It was very convenient to clean wet paws as we came back inside. Very comfortable room with all the amenities you could need. I stayed three days and ran into the cleaner outside and she checked with me to see if I needed anything. She had stocked my room perfectly with towels, coffee and even popcorn! Everything was very clean, linens, towels, plates, silverware, etc. When I messaged the host about a problem, she responded immediately and reassured me it was being taken care of. I had a very pleasant stay overall. We would definitely come back and stay again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We liked how close it was to the town and beaches and hikes all around. It was very easy to check in due to their clear instructions

The walls were a little thin and the bathroom sink didn’t drain, but it was a good stay for the price and a convenient location.

This is a good place to stay. Very clean and adequate lodging. There was no view of the ocean from the unit we stayed in, but a very short walk will take you there.

Depoe Bay is a great little coastal town to stay for a while! Great food at a walking distance away, beautiful views and everything. The Inn is in a great location to enjoy everything and it’s an easygoing little suite. Recommend for something cozy!

This place was just what we wanted on our weekend trip up the coast. We enjoyed walking to great nearby restaurants and watching the sunset from the ocean view across the street. The place felt clean and quiet despite being near a busy road. It was very easy to check in and out. We had a great stay overall!

The Whale Inn is as cute as the pictures, and the location is terrific. I stayed in unit #7, which is farthest from the highway, and it felt quiet and private. I loved being able to walk to downtown Depoe Bay. Bill and Peggy were very responsive when I couldn't figure out how to connect to the Wi-Fi in my room. I'd definitely stay there again!

Th sign says Whale in but they called it something different in the app. i almost stayed elsewhere because I could not find it.

the stay was so cute & cozy! perfect for a short weekend stay with our 2 little dogs. very clean and had all the added amenities we needed for a couple days — refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. and walking distance to beautiful ocean views was a huge plus! would definitely stay again.

This is such a cute little motel set up as air bnb units. There are 7 rooms. It’s very quiet and felt safe and secure. Easy to find, well labeled private parking spaces very close to rooms.

I had a change in plans, needed a place to stay, and Bill and Peggy accepted my request quickly. The room was clean & comfortable. It was perfect walking distance to the harbor for whale watching at sunset! If I’m ever in the area again, I’d love to stay here!

Great place to stay especially if you are going on a whale watching tour. Close proximity to the sea wall and downtown area of Depoe Bay. Many restaurants and coffee shops are close by. Check in was super easy and assigned parking is a huge plus.

The place was perfect for what my family needed! Aside from missing a broom or some sort of day to day cleaning. I felt bad for leaving our room filled with sand and huskies shedding. I would have liked to have been able to sweep up after ourselves.

If you are in Depoe Bay, you must stay here! It has everything; private bathroom, kitchen area, comfy bed, place to sit, etc. Room 7 was immaculate and modern. This room is furthest from the road out of all the units. It is walkable to everything in Depoe Bay. A plus was the host notified me of the Tsunami Advisory that was in effect for the area after the Russian earthquake. The host was flexible and allowed me to leave my car parked at the unit for my whale watching tour for the morning. Again, this place is a MUST. You will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back.

Perfect location- easy to walk to anything Depoe bay offers. Great viewpoints just a couple minutes walk from the place! It was a tad bit pricey, especially given that there was no real kitchen, but there were plenty of good eateries around. Would totally stay here again!

This place is so sweet! It is super clean and comfortable and has just what you need. They have a very detailed guide on how to use things in the place(using the tv, etc) , local restaurants. Highly recommend this as a destination when coming to the area.

Comfortable stay on the coast!

Real quite nice area. Literally not even a mile away you can see sea lions and whales. Highly recommend for a stay if you want to see the beauty of the Oregon coast!

This was our third stay at Whale Inn and we're as satisfied as ever. We love this little room and all the amenities that make it easy for a quick trip to the coast. Love having my own parking space and a fridge, kettle, coffee maker and microwave.

extremely close to shops in depot bay, not on water front or a view outside window but great price, I love the little soaps they provide, the only negative is that it could have been better cleaned and aired out it was pretty musty. still deserves a 4 star review for location and decently clean.

Cute little room

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. We love the extra touches with shaving cream, tooth brushes, razors.. The room had everything we needed and the location allowed us to enjoy the ocean and quaint shops of Depot Bay.

Great place and great price. It was perfectly located for us to scoot around the coastline. It had just what we needed for our short stay.

I’m convinced Bill and Peggy’s place has the most comfortable bed in all of Depoe Bay. I stayed in room 7 which was the furthest from the road so I didn’t hear any traffic noise. The place was lovely and walking distance to everything in town. I could even see the ocean from the bathroom window. Would absolutely stay here again next time I take a trip out to the coast.

I really enjoyed my stay! I had a very cozy studio that met all of my needs. They went above with having all kinds of amenities in the little kitchenette and toiletries in the bathroom. It is in 5-10 walking distance to everything. And almost directly across the street is a park where you can see the ocean. I will definitely come back. The price was perfect too!

Lovely stay at the Whale Inn of Depoe Bay! The room seemed recently remodeled. Very clean. Easy to reserve and get into. Heads up: unit #7 shower control is plumbed backwards: hot is cold and visa versa. No big deal but can be confusing when you're waiting for the hot water to come. 🙃

Bill & Peggy's Inn was super cute, absolutely loved the decor! It's right off the 101 which was super convenient for our coastal road trip. Ocean was just across the street & there's a cute coffee shop nearby as well.

The cottage was very nice. Bed was comfortable, parking was good, amenities were great. Very clear checkin instructions and area information.

The rental was very cute. I will note that there was a musty smell to the place. I only provided feedback about it after we left so I unfortunately never gave the hosts an opportunity to address it with me while I was staying there. As long as the smell is addressed, the stay is perfect and it’s not too far away from all the sight seeing and shops. Definitely walkable distance. They also provided good recommendations for places to eat at which came in handy.

We loved our stay at Whale Inn! It was such a convenient stop for us on our road trip. The room is exactly as the pictures show it. We LOVED the great water pressure in the shower, big plus for us!! It was a very quiet stay and we did not hear our neighbors as other reviews have stated. Bill and Peggy were extremely proactive in communicating before our arrival with instructions which we really appreciated. We would 100% stay here again.

Quiet and relaxing spot. Nice as a dog owner to be accepted with our pet, that we can be trusted to leave a place as clean as we found it. Just the essentials for a good weekend getaway (kitchen and bathroom had nice amenities and treats), with the decor a tasteful reminder of its coastal location, but not over the top. Great job managing this place.

This was a great spot to spend the night when exploring Depoe Bay. The price was very reasonable, the walkability to shops and food was excellent, and the place was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the unit furthest from the road, #7, and had no issues with road noise or neighbor noise. Appreciated the parking spot right in front of the door.

This is the second time we have stayed with Bill and Peggy. It was clean and well taken care of. It’s within walking distance of everything in Depoe Bay. We’ll definitely stay again.

Our unit was a cute little space that was very comfortable for us and our dogs! It was also stocked with some helpful kitchen tools like a water kettle and toaster!

This is the 2nd time that we have stayed with Bill and Peggy! Same unit even. We loved it so much the 1st time that we knew we’d stay here again. The location is perfect for a base camp going north or south. We spend a couple weekends a year running up and down the coast and have found this to be our home away from home. This place was absolutely perfect! The room was immaculate and the bed was extremely comfortable! Nice little touches like spare toothbrushes, local coffee grounds and more. The location is right on the edge of town so perfect for exploring shops, restaurants and beaches. Self check-in was also very convenient. We will absolutely stay here again!

Such a cute room! And PET FRIENDLY! Check in was instantaneous and they even accommodated my early arrival. Close to so many cute shops and a minutes drive from a lovely beach. The village is super close by as well as a stretch of other cities along the 101 if you want to city hop. The bed and pillows could’ve been more comfortable. I had difficulty with dining as I couldn’t leave the room and there weren’t any restaurants nearby that were willing to deliver (believe me I tried, I called everyone). Thankfully the room had a packet of popcorn so I enjoyed that my first night.

Great place to stay on the Oregon coast, it was really cute on the inside and very clean. Our only complaint was the bed was not comfortable at all, there was a big divot on my fiancée side of the bed which caused me to roll onto him all night. If the bed were more comfortable this would definitely be a five star rating (we just didn't get great sleep) we loved everything else though. Even though it's right off the highway it was quiet and a peaceful stay.

It's a safe place to stay. It was quiet, even though it was on a main road. Bed very comfy. Nice kitchenette. The only down side, was no heater in the bathroom. l would definitely stay again!

A great, dog-friendly weekend getaway motel on the Oregon coast. The price was great for a winter escape, the kitchenette was a plus, too. The only downside was the room had a pretty strong musty odor, which is probably common for many places on the coast, but was hard to ignore.

We used to live in the big house right behind it, so I know what it once was- I was excited to see the inside, super cute and on point with tasteful decor. My dad stayed in the room, and he said it was great, and would stay there again! He said it was super clean, and quiet inside. I had to talk to the host to get more information on other cabins, and communication was easy. Appreciate you, and look forward to staying again.

Great little place for a quick trip to the coast, walking distance from viewpoints, a fantastic restaurant and from a coffee house. Small but very cute and has everything you need. The only (somewhat) negative was that the place had a few ants, we must have seen about 15 or so. The host did explain the rain brings them in and I have seen this happen in other places too, so I don't honestly know if there's anything more the host could do about it, but luckily we had no food or anything. I would not have been comfortable having any food out and I did have to do a double check of everything in the bathroom since some were on the shelves there. Other than that the place is perfect. I'm hyper sensitive to bugs, but if a lonely ant here and there is not something that bothers you, I wold highly recommend this place, everything else was fantastic.

Nice cottage ! Inside looked new and was worth every dollar! As a super host I'd highly recommend a stay here. Depot Bay is a extremely cute town with the best Clam Chowder I've had anywhere at the Sea Hag!

Very comfortable stay for two nights. Everything we needed for self catering. Great location for shore and town. We particularly liked the Horn Brewery for dinner and beer! Very near highway but that didn’t bother us.

This place was super cute and perfect for two people and a fury friend. Will definitely be coming back to this place. The only complain I have, is there is no A/C. Just a fan and the wall heater. We put it on as low as it could go and put the fan in front of it but still hot and muggy. Other than this place was great and clean and they even provided a sheet to lay over the bed so your fury friend could lay with you. Very caring!

Our room was quaint and the perfect place for a nights stay! Everything was clean and the room was quiet despite being off the main road! We appreciated the coffee supplies and toiletries too. Peggy was also extremely friendly and communicative!

Very frustrated by description when I made reservations that they had coffee pods. Since I was there to study I knew that I would want coffee! I usually drink one cup of caffeine and then decaf. But brought backup pods only to find a coffee pot with one package of coffee for a 4 night stay! I asked about decaf and was told they don’t offer that (or tea btw) luckily I saw the housekeeper and SHE was very helpful providing me a backup Kerig since they just changed. Thank goodness. However I had already purchased decaf coffee which I left just in case the next guest prefer that. Other than that my stay was fine.

I think this was one of the best price places that allow dogs on the coast and not only was it bigger in person when you walk inside it instantly gave homey vibes.

Very comfortable and clean

This place was SUPER cute! It was a lot like a cozy hotel room (PLUS a great variety of amenities so if I had forgotten something (like a tooth brush), they had it!) I was only here for one night, but the bed was cozy. The room (sharing one wall on the end) did not leave me feeling like I could hear the neighbors. I even had the windows open for a long period and enjoyed listening to waves crashing and seagulls! The place is in walking distance of Depoe Bay’s downtown as well as a few other places you might want to venture to. It was easy to find and just what I needed! While I did have a brief problem with the door code, they were down at the place within minutes to help me out! Would stay again.

Smelled clean and felt homey

The property was absolutely beautiful. Very clean and in a perfect location. My only complaint was the bed and the heater. The bed was very uncomfortable and the heater never heated up. I decided to leave 1 day early. HOWEVER, I decided not to bug the owner with the bed and heater and I should have contacted her. When I decided to leave a day early I let her know and she said she would have moved me and/or come and replaced the heater. She made a note about the bed and said she was already replacing them room by room. She refunded me for my last night and offered to move me to a different property. It’s on me that I didn’t contact her sooner. She would have helped accommodate me to be more comfortable. I will be returning next time I am in that area.

We were trying to quickly find somewhere to stay. Within 30 minutes we had booked a nice place to stay. To our surprise the location was a short walk from a huge rock with a variety of birds nesting. We spent the morning watching a group of seals as well as the birds. It was a very unplanned yet fun adventure. Thank you for helping us at the last minute.

This was the perfect location and room for our stay. We walked across the street to a few different viewpoints and saw whales every day that we were there! We booked a fishing charter which was only a block or so away, and by far the best restaurant was catty corner to our room as well. Depoe Bay was less than 15-20 minutes from both Newport and Lincoln City, so we easily enjoyed all 3 towns during our visit. We had the greatest time during our stay. The hosts were very kind and easy to get ahold of as well!

Place was convenient and easy to check in. They had a handy info site that was sent to us immediately after booking. Primary complaints are the bed was lumpy and the shower wasn’t very hot. Other than that, place was very clean and fulfilled our needs well.

The owners were very responsive and very sweet. We had a great stay, the ocean views were beautiful and it wasn’t far from some amazing restaurants. It was super clean and neat. We will def be coming back!! 😆

Very cute place! Smells beachy/musty. Open the windows for awhile to air it out. Very clean. Hot water in shower didn’t get hot enough in our W7 room to shower. Host did tell me how to get hot water but it didn’t get hot. Would stay again, in another room.

My room was nice. The designated parking was a huge plus, despite someone else inconsiderately deciding to park in my room's designated parking spot the last evening and morning of my stay. I appreciated the microwavable popcorn, which was a nice, unexpected touch. The owners messaged me often and were very responsive. I would definitely and likely will stay here again.

We had a nice weekend getaway staying here. Very convenient location to all of Depoe Bay and surrounding areas.

We come over to the Oregon coast a couple times a year and always stay between Newport and Lincoln City. Depoe Bay is our favorite place to hang out. We are so excited to say that we found Bill and Peggy’s listing. We were able to walk to our favorite stores and eateries! Our unit was clean, comfy and homey after our 9 hour drive. Check in was super simple and everything was as described! Bill and Peggy were super accommodating and very communicative. Thanks again for the use of your place! It felt like home away from home! Lovely place in a great location! Is in walking distance to everything Depoe Bay has to offer. Room was clean and as advertised. You can hear some road noise during the day and the shared wall was a little thin. But with the provided fan, you can’t really hear anything! Will definitely stay here again!

This is such a great spot on the Oregon coast. They accept one night reservations on weekends, which is so rare. Our room had everything we needed, including a microwave, mini fridge, toiletries and extra pillows. I also like having an assigned parking space in the lot right outside the room.

This place was so cute! A perfect, cozy spot in depoe bay with easy check-in and parking. You can literally cross the street to watch whales in the bay. The little downtown is a 5 min walk, easy for morning coffee. There isn’t a real beach in depoe bay but it’s still a great stop. It should also be noted that the water pressure in the shower is excellent, which is always a bonus while traveling. The bed was a little too soft but that’s personal preference. I would 100% return to the whale inn!

This place is small and perfect in so many ways. I was concerned about being so close to the highway, but I can tell you that was never a problem with noise at night. The bed was uber-comfortable, the room was spotlessly clean! The furniture was comfortable, lots of plugs for electronics, and close to everything in Depoe Bay. The whale watching across the street was great. We spent hours just watching momma and her two babies play in the bay. Restaurants and shops are all within walking distance, and close to so many interesting view spots and points of interest. Think of this as a luxury motor lodge (only 7 rooms total), but all tastefully decorated with special bathroom amenities like toothbrushes, shaving cream, and a razor, with comfy towels. Thank you for a lovely stay!!!!!

W7 is the last unit on the back, away from the main road. It has great location and close to Depoe Bay. Self check-in was very smooth and amenities were accurate. Shower had great pressure and nice tempt control. There was a wall heater but no A/C. The weather in June was cool so we didn't need A/C. A fan is provided in case the room is hot. Interior is new and clean. Highly recommended!

This room was lovely, clean, and quiet, with special touches (the makeup towel, the popcorn) that made it great. My little son thought it was absolutely beautiful, and it was a joy for me that he liked it so much: the bedding set, comfy bed, the coordinating and artful marine decor, cartoons like Bluey on the TV, made it a treat for him, too. We’ll be back, thank you!

What a hidden gem! Very clean and cozy! Easy check-in process! Bed was comfy. The last unit on end seemed nice and private :) We were late to find food but stumbled upon the Chinese restaurant with karaoke and met some fun locals!

This stay was unexpectedly amazing. Unexpectedly because I’ve never stayed in this size unit before. It felt comfortable and relaxing. Host communicates well. Amenities are spot on. Cleanliness is perfect. Just a note to future guests, there is a shared wall with other units so get an end unit.

The place is small and cozy, easy to park and easy to access. The bed was very firm, if you like that, it would be good. We like a little softness with our firm beds. Just an observation.

Really great experience here! Check in and out we’re both totally painless. Even though it’s on the main highway it’s super quiet and the bed was really comfortable. Plus it’s just a few minutes to the main drag, which made for easy outings. Also the water pressure was amazing!

Loved this inn! It was right on the highway, but pretty quiet - didn’t hear neighbors at at all and barely heard highway cars. Room was super clean easy checkin access and definitely worth the value.

Bill’s Inn was a wonderfully located for everything that we wanted to do in the area. It was beautifully decorated with anything that you could ever need to make your stay perfect. It was an easy walk to everything in town which allowed us to park the car and forget about it. We can’t wait to come back.

We stayed at Whale Inn right after spending a night at another Depoe Bay AirBnb run by the the same hosts. Far from home and family, we were excited to be able to get a take-out Thanksgiving dinner from a local restaurant, and we ate it together at the little table in our room. We had a short delay getting in. The message through AirBnB with the door code had not yet made it into my app (about a half hour after check in time), and I had received a text with a replacement code if the first code didn’t work. I tried the replacement code (it was all I had at the time). It didn’t open the door. I called and left a message for the host. Unfortunately, my phone had been set to send unknown callers to voicemail… Happily, I found the call-back voicemail transcript with the code and we were in! It was strange to find later that even though the host had sent the instructions for getting into the room around noon, they did not appear in my AirBnB app messages until well after the 3 pm check-in time. That seems like an AirBnB issue to me, but all worked out well. We were very happy with the room. The hosts have provided thoughtful extras, such as microwavable popcorn, individually wrapped toothbrushes in case you forgot yours, shaving supplies, bandages, and more. We appreciated the coffee maker and kitchenette. I was happy to be able to move my Thanksgiving take-out dinner to a real plate from the kitchen and reheat it in the microwave. The bed is sumptuously comfy. The especially soft sheets, and two warm blankets (as well as a spare if you need more) added to a great night’s sleep. Thank you so much for the attention to these details!

We had a wonderful stay here! We decided to book this trip for a little weekend getaway from the day to day work life. The space was clean, up to date and had all the extras you could need. The location was in the perfect spot in town just down the road from shops and eateries, easily within walking distance. Check in was easy and the evening was quiet and relaxing.

Super cute and cozy units! The bed was comfortable, the bed linens were excellent quality, the check-in/check-out process was SO EASY. The location is right on Hwy 101, which made me worry about road house. But inside, you can barely hear it! Also conveniently located near an excellent coffee shop.

We appreciated the stay along the coast at Whale Inn! The room was cozy and had the perfect amenities for our short stay. There are a couple of coffee shops in walking distance and the quaint downtown with restaurants is about 5 minutes away. We loved seeing the ocean from the property, and appreciated the doggie relief area onsite and up the hill. Being right off the highway, we could hear traffic but it was not so loud that it disturbed us during the day or our sleep at night. We would definitely stay again.

Cute little place with easy access (i.e. walking or driving) to the water, food, etc. Love that it was dog friendly, and really appreciated the "dog sheet" to use on furniture for our furry friends (we always travel with an extra blanket for that reason).

Nice room! We were able to get this place about 2 months out from our trip. This specific room was number 7 and furthest from the road which really helped with the road noise. Room was clean and ready. Check in was very easy. Walking distance to most everything in Depoe Bay. Highly recommend getting coffee right across the street and walking up Sunset and taking the trail out to the rocks to watch the Whales.

We had a wonderful stay at the Whale Inn! The location in Depoe Bay was perfect, easy walk to restaurants, shops, and the scenic view area to watch the sunset. Check in/out was seamless. The room had nice amenities, and the kitchenette with dishes was a nice addition. Great place to stay!

We stayed here on a whim because we decided at the last minute to go to the coast. I wasn’t sure what to expect and really hoped the place matched the pics. It absolutely did, to a tee! Despite being along the highway, it was pretty quiet and for a pet friendly room, it was very clean which means everything to us because we want to feel as comfortable in a rental with out pups as we do in our home and this place nailed it on that! We’d definitely stay here again!

This spot is ran by a company, not someone’s private residence that they’re renting out. It shows, the little hospitality touches and level of cleanliness surpasses most 5 star personally ran spots. They even notified and helped me coordinate when I could pick up an item I left behind. You pay for the extra touches (and covid inflation right now) but I thought it was worth it.

Overall a good stay. I liked that they allowed dogs and only charged a very small fee. It was quiet and cabin like. Bed was ok, place needs a few updates in my opinion. Was thoughtful with tooth brushes,shaving cream,razor and kitchen items. No ocean view but very close and walkable. Some great restaurants.

Bill’s place is absolutely perfect for our little family (me, my husband and our dog)! It’s location right on 101 across from the whale viewing rocks is really awesome! Don’t be expecting beach access, but the rocks and view of the ocean are spectacular. The room is pretty straight forward, but perfect for us and absolutely clean. Great for a weekend getaway during all this craziness. We will definitely be back!

This place was wonderful. Clean and exactly like the photos. They added little toothbrushes, shampoo, etc and it was well worth the price. Gladly would go back. They send an email with clear directions, local tips and your check-in information so that it is super easy.

The room was so charming and clean, with the comfiest bed and pillows (my boyfriend is stillll talking about the pillows) and the perfect location, just a few minutes from the Depoe Bay downtown. Very cute and clean place to stay. Great location, right across the street from the beach. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but that was my only complaint. Loved the decor and items provided to make our stay more comfortable. Huge bonus that it was dog friendly!

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy little studio at The Whale Inn. The room was nicely furnished, and the beach-themed decor including the little details, such as the whale and starfish knobs on the kitchen cabinets, made for an even more homey and beachy experience. The amenities provided (Keurig, extra toiletries, sink, dishes, paper towel, silverware, popcorn, Netflix, Hulu, other streaming services, and etc.) were definitely more than what you'd get compared to other lodging options in the area. The entire studio was exceptionally clean and did not feel small or cramped. The pillows and bed were very comfortable. We didn't use the extra blanket in the drawer, since it seemed like it might've been left over from the previous renter from the way it had been folded, and we ran hot water through the Keurig 3x to make sure water was clear (minor things). Overall, we had a relaxing, quiet first-time stay at Depoe Bay and at The Whale Inn. It was everything we needed and more. We especially loved and appreciated how dog friendly this place is and how close it is to the beach where the beachfront restaurants and shops are located. We'll definitely be coming back to The Whale Inn. In the meantime, we'll be checking out your other property (Trollers Lodge) in a couple days-- our 2nd booking within two weeks! This quaint bungalow was great for a couple’s overnight stay. The bed was uncomfortable but sometimes that goes with the territory. We were able to see a beautiful ocean view for our morning walk.

Great location, right off the 101. Comfortable little room and very clean, my only complaint would be that it smelled quite a lot like wet dog. I presume the previous guests brought their dog with them. Other than that, it was great.

Great spot, near to a wonderful restaurant (Tidal Raves) right across 101, and a very clean, tidy, and comfortable room! It is just a room, so prepare to eat most if not all meals at a restaurant. Comfortable, fairly quiet. The walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors if there are some..highly recommend ear plugs 👍🏽. Probably one of the nicer spots at Depoe.

It was a very comfy stay, super organized for check-in & check-out. I would stay again.

It was a sweet place. Clean, close to the ocean, food, and shops. The space had thoughtful touches and felt welcoming. Communication with Bill was easy and professional. Two things I didn’t like- the walls are certainly thin and it was very easy to hear others, and second the bed was uncomfortable and not supportive for me at 220lb. My wife 80lbs less than me said it was fine.

This is a very sweet little room. Very close to everything with the best bloody mary at the Sea Hagg and the sweetest park right across the street.

The location is perfect!!! We absolutely loved staying there, and we were very glad we were able to have our doggies stay as well. It was super easy to check in and check out, outstandingly clean and peaceful.

The bed and bedding was perhaps the most comfortable I have slept on in an inn. While small, the space had everything I could need and was perfectly located close to everything in Depoe Bay. I saw a whale from the Scenic Lookout.

Super clean and nice aesthetic - pics were accurate/just as in listing. End unit furthest from road. Seems fresh, like a recent remodel. Stress Relief Bath&Body Works soap and lotion were nice after a long day. Gas station store next door was convenient to grab ice or snack. 4 stars because the mattress seemed to still be in plastic and was not super comfortable.

The Whale Inn was the perfect place to stay for our weekend trip. The location is great, right between Newport and Lincoln City. The unit was especially clean and we appreciated that.

Wanted to get away and some peace and quiet. Convenient walk to coffee, town and The Tides restaurant. Would come back again

This property is in an ideal location in Depoe Bay! For someone not looking for direct ocean view, it was great that I could just walk across the road to watch the sunset or look for whales. The place was clean and cozy!

Cute little space which was nicely within walking distance of the main attractions. The neighbor had his tv on pretty loud and I couldn’t sleep for a long time, so I think the walls may be thin. Otherwise it was calm and peaceful.

This is an amazing location- within easy walking distance of Tidal Raves and lots more to see in Depoe Bay. This location specifically (W7) seems to be one of the best of all available because it is tucked farthest back away from the road and only shares one wall with neighbors. The amenities were lovely- nice touches like coffee, popcorn and bath and body works soaps and lotions. Communication with the host was very timely and check in went very smoothly. Sound did travel between units and the bed was not the most comfortable I have ever slept in but that is far outweighed by the prime location and clean comfortable aesthetic.

Great location, super clean, easy to find, tons of food options nearby. AC unit is also very powerful and nice. The only issue was with the door lock code thing not working correctly when I arrived, but the hosts were very fast and responsive to get it fixed!

Right in the middle of Depoe Bay. The bay itself does not have beaches, but it’s easy to access local shops and get on the road down to other beaches and view points.

Space was located near the main drag of Depoe Bay, everything was walkable and the coast was less than 5 mins away. The actual room was gorgeously remodeled & super comfy. Highly recommend!

Bill's place is at a very convenient location in depoe bay. The restaurant tidal raves is across the street and walkable from Bill's place and it is definetely one of the best restaurant in town and also there is a good coffee place within walking distance. I really liked the fact that they had provided all the toiletries including shaving kits which was very helpful.

Great pride for the location! Super cozy and clean and the hosts were super great at responding. A perfect place for a weekend getaway! My only issues was that there was no kettle to boil water and would have loved to make tea/coffee without the Keurig machine. I also wasn't sure where to put recycling/glass bottles. Other than that, a great find.

This place is really cute. And has great internet speeds. 30mbps upload. That's rare. Over 100mbps down. For those that appreciate that as much as I do. Most hotels don't have anywhere near that. Plus the places was cute and clean. Very cozy. Comfy bed too. Can't wait to go back in the spring. Nice little spot in back for pets to potty too. Minutes from great ocean views.

This is a gem of a place to stay. The decor is beautiful the bed is glorious to sleep in and the environment is spotless. We will be staying here again when we return to the ocean shores of Oregon!!!!

My wife and I stayed at the Whale Inn and our time there could not have been better. Our host thought of everything a traveler would need in terms of comfort, things to do, sights to see, etc. They are at the top of our list when we need a place to vacation in the future.

Our stay was so wonderful. Driving through Depoe bay, the Inn felt so quaint and convenient for our trip. We were but a minute walk from a lovely restaurant right on the water and we had a safe, quiet and comfortable stay. The added amenities made it easy to store some food and make snacks into the evening while watching movies. Thank you Bill!

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here. It is centrally located with plenty of shops and places to eat nearby. There were nice touches and you could tell they put time into decorating. They had the bath and body works shampoo, condition and body bar that smelled amazing. They supply you with everything you need for your stay. Check in was super easy. I would stay here again.

Bills place was very clean and comfortable. A tad smaller than I expected but we didn’t spend any time there other than to sleep so it was just fine. Very helpful when we had trouble with the lock.

Room 7 at Whale Inn was a perfect, updated, comfy little space to spend my evening while traveling for work. In less than 5 minutes you can walk to ALL the beautiful views in Depoe Bay. Even though the inn is right in the highway, I heard zero road noise. I had a wonderful night’s sleep in a cozy bed, and spent the early morning enjoying a comfy chair while reading my book and drinking hot coffee. Bill and Peggy were so responsive, and gave me all the details I needed before I even had to ask! I highly recommend this quaint inn for your next stay at the beach.

We were in suite #7 so we did not notice traffic noise (other reviews have noted the building is just off the main highway. It might have been louder if you were closer to the road, but we didn’t notice it. The free parking was a nice plus and we were able to park right outside our suite. The entire place was clean, but there is a stale smoke(?) smell in the suite that made it feel like the suite wasn’t as clean as it actually looked. We stayed just one night on our way down the coast and it worked for the night. Other reviews noted the personal touches and soaps available. I think it was an oversight, but our suite didn’t have hand soap in either the bathroom or kitchenette.

My husband and I stayed here for our one year anniversary and my husband's 30th birthday. The whale inn is extremely cozy and inexpensive for a nice getaway! We loved all the local food and beaches near the area. Highly recommend staying here if you want to feel at home while you're away from home!

Just a lovely place, both the inn and Depoe Bay! We really enjoyed our stay, including seeing the whales up close and even a few seals. The fabulous Thai restaurant was a huge bonus, as well. Our dog even had a nice swim in the harbor.

The location is great. We stayed in room 7 which is farthest from the highway and so most quiet. Our welcome instructions noted we might have to wait for hot water, but it was not a problem for us. The room includes a fan and a small coffee maker (in addition to the Keurig), both much appreciated. Each spot has its own numbered parking space, which is also nice.

If you are looking for something beautiful and comfortable, this is the place. Depoe Bay is a treasure that I’ll never forget. We didn’t want a big fancy hotel that was expensive. The room is bright and cheery. The bed was comfortable. I loved the beach themed decorations. We were within a small walking distance to town and local parks. Very clean and perfect for a couples getaway.

My only problem with this property was that there was no closet. There are hooks by the front door so presumably a few hangers there would have helped. I didn't realize there was no closet when I rented this room.

We loved our weekend get away at the Whale Inn! The place was extremely clean, and had all the basic amenities you’d need for a short stay. Check in and out were seamless and everything was well communicated ahead of time. We pretty much walked every where once we arrived, as the downtown area of Depot Bay was just a quick walk down the road. If we find ourselves headed back to the area in the future, we would definitely stay at the Whale Inn again!

Great location, easy to find. Clean and comfortable room. Mattress was good. Walls aren’t very insulated and the TVs are mounted to shared wall, so we could hear the next room’s TV way late into the evening and the next morning. Room #7 was far enough from the highway that we couldn’t hear that! Appreciated soap, lotion, and other extra touches.

This place was fantastic. Exactly what we needed for our anniversary weekend. The beds are comfortable, it’s close to the beach, and the rooms have every amenity I could have dreamed of needing. Will absolutely be staying here again!

A great little room set just far enough from the highway so that it was quiet at night. It was lovely and clean, with lots of nice touches provided such as shaving cream, band-aids and things like that. Nice nautical decor, and, perhaps most importantly, the bed was super comfortable! Close to a great coffee shop and restaurant too.

This spot is clean, conveniently located, and a great deal for a dog friendly place to stay on the coast. You are right next to 101 so some road noise is able to be heard but it wasn't so bad (we were in the room farthest from the road). The restaurant across the street is DELICIOUS and the coffee shop was as well. Overall very happy with our stay and we will likely return later this summer.

The Minke was lovely, clean and very comfortable! There are unique and thoughtful touches throughout the room. The location is great - convenient to all that Depoe Bay has to offer! All shops and restaurants are just a few blocks away.

This is a lovely place! I'm so glad there was an available unit that fit my getaway schedule.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Whale Inn, #7. The unit was all updated, and the bed was very comfortable. All furnishings were new. There were thoughtful amenities like an extra toothbrush and band-aids, shampoo and conditioner, as well as coffee. The unit was very clean and the check in and out were super easy with a key code on the door. The location is right in town and across the street from a great restaurant.

We loved our weekend getaway to Bill's place! It was perfect! Quiet, all we needed was available to us. We were able to park the car and walk all over Depot Bay and take in the views and great food. It was especially wonderful to be able to have our pup join us for the journey.
