Ocean Overlook

The hosts were great and we felt right at home. The home was clean and updated, the rooms were spacious and pretty. 3 full bathrooms and a half bath were a major plus! Only thing missing was a comfortable sofa. The living area is smaller so the sofa is small to fit the space. The arm chairs, kitchen island, and dining table made for cozy meals and enough space to play games. While the general area is walkable, the home sits next to the highway, so the main bedroom has some road noise. If you stay in that room, pack your headphones and you’ll be fine. The bathroom and views from that room are worth it! We had a great stay and loved walking downtown, lots to see and do.

This stay was great, we had two families with toddlers and the house was accommodating for us all with space to spread out. Bill and Peggy were able to allow us early check in to help with our kids nap schedule, which was so helpful. Great communication and comfortable space!

The house was very nice! The instructions were great and it was poring rain so the garage was nice to have. The house was big and exactly as described, it was also well located. There was some traffic noise from the main road out front but nothing too noticeable. We would definitely stay again and the hosts were very responsive.

The property was nice, clean and walkable to the downtown area. There's a great place across the street to watch the sunset. We also appreciated that every bedroom has its own bathroom. The EV charging is not free unfortunately. Very dog friendly with a dog bed.

We really enjoyed our time at Ocean Overlook! The house was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The instructions on how to access the house were clear and easy to understand. When we reached out with questions the team was quick to respond. My only suggestion for improvements were with the the kitchen and the bathrooms. Many of the plates and drinking glasses were chipped. Two of the showers had some mildew growing on the shower curtain and the shower wall. Other than those items the rest of the stay was great.

All lodging is super expensive on the oregon coast in the summer. Visitors pay way too much but there is no other choice. Peggy and Bill’s place was fantastic and in the range of other lodging, but that still doesn’t mean I think it was worth the money. It’s what one needs to spend.

The place is clean and up to date. Each bedroom ensuite bathroom was a real bonus. The unit is well stocked with amenities. We would highly recommend Bill and Peggy's place when visiting the wonderful Oregon coast.

Very clean and convenient location for touring along the Oregon coast. Our family enjoyed our time here with the separate rooms and bathrooms.

Hosts were great at responding to messages. The place was clean and accessible. The unit was semi-cozy, but the furniture on the 2nd floor was not as comfortable, and not great for larger than 4 people gathering around the space. WiFi was a bit shotty. Unit was hard to find due to no clear house numbers. Location was great if you are wanting to be around Newport or other places South.

The place is beautiful and has a nice view of the ocean from the balcony and one it the bedrooms. Don’t have anything negative to say but do want to warn people that a full size truck won’t fit in the garage and there are stairs to get to any of the bedrooms so if mobility is an issue something to consider. Other than that place was amazing and comfortable.

The home is great for groups with each room having its own en suite. The kitchen/living area fit our family of 6 very well.

The house was wonderful - clean, fully equipped, and very comfortable. The deck was a great place to relax, and the location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the whale watching viewpoint. We brought a range of ages to this home and everyone found comfort throughout. We stayed for a long weekend and Depoe Bay is hand-down the perfect location on the coast to launch towards nearby destinations and be able to return without hassle or hours in the car. The Home is very modern and layout accomadates larger groups without ever feeling crowded. The appliances work flawlessly and the building is very well maintained. The following notes are included in an effort to help others choose their destination; while some would reconsider their reservation on these issues, we navigated around them and left feeling we would probably return again. Notes to consider:1. Individuals with mobility issues should know that the first floor only includes a garage, movie room, washer/dryer, and bathroom. The main floor requires a long flight of stairs but if that is no issue, it is nice that the main floor has a shower with ADA style bench which we found very useful. The main floor includes a bedroom and no further stairs would be required after the first flight. -All ammenities needed are within the first two floors.2. The location is directly on the side of HWY 101 which becomes loud early and stays loud until late. While it is unfortunate you cannot hold a conversation near any open window on the front of the home, it was not a deal-breaker for us.3. The rear will not accomodate larger vehicles and the shared driveway wasn't planned well.4. Knives and can-opener are awful!

The location is very close to the town of Depoe Bay and directly off highway 101. There are nearby parks with trails to explore and excellent views like Whale Cove. The house being multi level and with a deck faces the ocean. Access to gasoline, food, coffee are walking distance and seconds away.

The home was beautiful. Very comfortable and there were some supplies that were very handy that I did not expect. This may turn into a yearly stay for us!

Truly pet friendly without sacrificing cleanliness. This place is great, 3 bedroom with lots of room to stretch out and relax. Pros: Clean, Pet Friendly, Comfortable. Cons: It's on the east side of 101 so not beach front but you can see the ocean, and there is ocean front trails within walking distance.

Extremely convenient AirBnB to get in and out of. Their check-in and check-out process was way better than any other coastal rental I have stayed at over the years. Kitchen was also a solid step above average, especially for the price.

From check in to check out it was easy and everything was exactly what I had hoped-for. Well definitely use again.

We were 4 adults plus one 3 year old and an infant (we had no pets), and stayed here in January 2025. What a great place to stay - it exceeded our expectations. Very modern - like new, and spotlessly clean (no pet smells either :)) There is some road noise, but it didn't bother us at all. Also, the kitchen knives are quite dull - might want to bring your own, or bring a sharpener. We would definitely come back here!!

Spent a couple days at this property. Perfectly located between Newport and Lincoln City for access to shopping and restaurants.Property was very clean and well appointed. Kitchen is well stocked and beds are very comfortable. I slept very well!

Our family of 6 stayed during the Thanksgiving week. We all enjoyed the property very much. One concern is the temperature of the hot water. It is very high and could result in a burn. Others, we would stay again.

It was a comfortable house. Has lots of stairs.

Loved our stay, was last minute, one night stay, and they accommodated us well!. The beds were cozy and the house was very clean! No extensive check out instructions either. Short walk to food and ocean views. Just know the Master overlooks the 101 so you won't be able to hear the ocean.

The rental was perfect for our family of 5. Having individual bathrooms was a bonus. We cooked several meals while there, and found every thing we needed. For the most part, the kitchen was clean. However, we did discover some pots, pans, dishes put away dirty. (Dried up rice in pot, cookie sheets still crumby and oil residue in skillets). Location was convenient, but the road noise and neighbors on one side made it interesting!! We knew there might be the road noise as it is right on 101, but barking dogs and loud people (rental units on both sides) were no fun. Not the fault of the rental property, just be aware of 3 side by side rentals. Beds were very comfortable! Plenty of nice linens! Plenty of room to spread out!!!

My family really enjoyed the roominess of this townhouse and the location to the sights of Depoe Bay. We could walk to the lookout across the street, and also drove and parked in the spaces available to see the sunset multiple evenings. The restaurants and shops were easy to walk to, including breakfast at the Sea Hag. The whale watching center was a highlight as volunteers focused a camera on whale spouts and an occasional tail coming out of the water. Street noise was a little more intrusive than expected but understandable given the great location on the main street. We appreciated the fireplace when the evening got a little cool, and the streaming on tv when we wanted to wind down from busy days of hiking and sightseeing.

Beautiful, clean property! Location can’t be beat. Lots of room to gather as group but also areas to quietly slip away to read a good book. Thank you for our memorable stay on the beautiful Oregon coast! See you next year!

I can't say enough about how fabulous this house is! It's extremely clean and a perfect location close to downtown. It was easy to check in and we had plenty of space for the family! I did question what to do with the trash, as it was full when we arrived.

It's a great place, just wish the upper bedroom windows were sound proofed from the highway noise! Unfortunately, during our stay, construction behind us began really early in the morning :( All in all, we really enjoyed our stay, and would stay again! :)

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The price was reasonable and our favorite area was the second floor (large living room and open kitchen). The first floor (which we didn’t end up spending time in) smelled a bit like pet urine. The house is directly on the highway so the bedroom closest to the highway does get some light traffic sounds. We walked to the coffee and bagel stand next door and it was nice to have something so close.

The home was clean and very welcoming! We appreciated all the little details like the toiletries and cleanliness of the home. We are big on cleanliness and this rental sparkled. It’s also within walking distance of Depoe Bay restaurants and strip of shops. We were very happy with our stay and will definitely rent with them when we visit again.

Felt so spacious and homey! we enjoyed how easy it was to walk into town for meals/whale watching/shopping and that it was just a quick drive in either direction to Newport or Lincoln City. The home was gorgeous and spacious. It fit our family perfectly with room to spare. Overall, the home was pretty clean. We had a little issue with the dishes coming out of the cabinets not clean and some areas in the home being sticky (counters, floor, handles). The location was fantastic and easy to find. I've stayed in many vacation rentals over the years--Ocean View easily makes the top 5! Not because the property is unique--it's a fairly new townhome just off the coastal highway--or because of the views--they're nice enough, but the main level of the house gets only a partial ocean view between buildings and roofs. It makes my top 5 because it perfectly ticks all of the important boxes! The entire house and every surface was squeaky clean. The beds were comfortable and made up with nice quality linens. The shower/tub water pressure was terrific, and there wasn't a long wait for the hot water. The kitchen and baths featured every desirable amenity and then some. The home decor is stylish with no clutter. The host is proactive with helpful communications--we never had to ask a question--and tips about local attractions, activities, and restaurants. The garage parking was convenient. And it's an easy walk to restaurants, the oceanside viewpoint, a convenience store, and gas. Super!

Very nice accommodations . Lots of stairs. Deck has some view of Ocean, and Hwy 101 was very busy and noisey . With that said we would book it again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay! It was so close to the little shops and we could see whales from the 3rd floor windows and the 2nd floor deck. It is on the main highway though so it was noisy and we couldn’t sleep with the windows open.

Beautiful and well appointed. The kids loved having their own bedrooms. Front room was a bit loud with street traffic but so comfortable it made up for it. My son said the best sheets ever!

It was conveniently located in Depoe Bay, we were able to walk to dinner. The house was very clean and had everything we needed along with some extras that were provided in case forgotten. The communication was excellent. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back.

This AirBnB is one of the most beautiful and affordable places you can get in Depoe bay. It’s literally amazing in every way. You can see the ocean from the third floor which is awesome. It is by the road but I honestly didn’t find it super bothersome as some reviewers did. It’s close to town so you’re close to fun things and it’s honestly beautiful inside and out. I highly recommend it to everyone and anyone. They even allow dogs which was awesome as we brought ours with.

The place was clean, well-stocked, and felt very homey. It was easy to get to either Lincoln City or Newport from the house. We would definitely book this place again in the future

Great location at 1/2 mile easy walk to downtown Depoe Bay. Very clean and newly built home with all the required necessity's and fully stocked from the bathroom to the kitchen. Even had courtesy coffee ready to go. Right next to the 101 which is almost too busy to leave a window open but we did anyway to enjoy the fresh air. You can see the ocean and rocks over the rooftops across the street. Door locks were not working properly upon arrival which delayed getting in but resolved quickly with a phone call. Great stay and would do it again for sure. Thanks!

Clean and cozy. Listed as expected. Walking distance to convenient stores and coffee shops. A little loud since it’s on a main street. We heard the fire truck/ambulance drive by multiple times. But he slept fine with our white noise sound machine. We would rent again. It’s perfectly located between Newport and Lincoln City.

The unit was immaculately clean and had so many thoughtful amenities to make our weekend on the coast feel just like home! Initially I was a bit nervous about the home being so close to the 101, but there is actually very little traffic noise that can be heard inside the house. Such a comfortable stay at the coast.

This home was absolutely perfect for our family. The house was not only incredibly clean, but stocked with toiletries in case you forget things- in which I had. ha! The location is great for restaurants, shops, beaches, and look outs. The beds were so comfortable I actually took a picture of the sheets because I want to buy them for my own home! The bottom level living room came in handy for the kids to watch a movie while mom and dad relaxed with the fire on upstairs and had a glass of wine. Bill was on top of every aspect of helping us get checked in and responded incredibly quick to emails. I took their card information and would 100% trust any property they manage. Lovely home, lovely city, and lovely management.

We’ve wanted to explore Depoe Bay, and its resident marine wildlife, for awhile now. This property is centrally located and allowed us to literally walk our way onto a gray whale boat ecotour. Shops and restaurants are also easily accessible by foot. In addition to convenience, this house is brand spanking new. Everything is in pristine condition. Kitchen is fully stocked. Bedrooms have soft sheets and super comfortable beds. Gift baskets in each bathroom for forgotten items, like toothbrush, bandaid, soaps, etc. No stone is left unturned. Added bonus is the 5-minute drive to Beverly Beach.

This property was one of the best Air B&B’s I’ve stayed at. The house was impeccably clean. It was stocked better than any I’ve experienced before. They even had toothbrushes, razors, & laundry soap available. The beds were noticeably comfortable, and the bedding was great. It’s located right across the street from Whale’s Cove, with beautiful views & walking trails nearby. Tidal Rave restaurant is within walking distance & has fantastic food. We really enjoyed our stay & would highly recommend it to others.

This Tri-level home is beautiful. Very well appointed, from the bottom floor to the top. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds/linens were comfortable. Appreciated all the nice touches, for items we may have forgotten. Wi-fi was also good for those that may need to work remotely. Short walk to town with coffee and dinner. But the best attraction were the many whales we could see from the the shore. (Mornings, afternoons and evenings) As an earlier reviewer mentioned , the construction next door could prove to be bothersome. And don’t discount the 7:00 am - 8:00 pm traffic on 101, literally outside the door.

This was a great property. New construction so everything is lovely clean and new. Great location right near the heart of town. The management company made sure we had all the info we needed on the property and was lovely to work with. The front of the house does front the 101 but all the bedrooms are up on the second and third levels so you don’t hear much traffic noise and you have views of the water from the deck out front. I would absolutely stay here again and was a wonderful weekend. Great town and great property! I highly recommend this!

This home in Depoe Bay suited our needs as we explored nearby cities of Lincoln City and Newport. Each room has their own bathroom and there’s plenty of space with all the necessities. Kitchen was well-stocked with basic supplies and the BBQ was easy to use. Check-in/out process was simple and easy to follow. It is right on the main road with a lot of street noise and while the water is across the busy street, there are no beaches in Depoe Bay. Unaware that construction is happening next door starting at 8am.

Great location. Walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and the ocean. New home stocked with everything we needed. Such a cute little town. Will definitely be back.

Great place to stay while exploring Depoe Bay. Whale watching across the street, fishing and crabbing out of the bay. Very nicely appointed townhome.

Beautiful home! Kitchen very well equipped and it was nice with it being a new construction home. Would definitely consider staying again after the house next door is finished being built.
